  • Patent number: 6889982
Abstract: A gaming apparatus is provided, including at least one freestanding, upright first target having three target zones spaced apart from each other, each having a different sized forward facing opening and at least one projectile. The first target member includes first and second vertical support members and at least three pairs of crossbeams extending therebetween. The apparatus includes a second target substantially identical to the first target and spaced from the first target on a playing surface. In one embodiment, a method of playing an aerial projectile game includes separating a first target and a second target, directing a projectile toward one of the targets from a station proximate the other target, and awarding points for each projectile that lodges in a scoring zone of the target.

  • Patent number: 6818015
Abstract: The stent having a flexible self-expandable braided tubular wall having a proximal segment having an outer diameter, and a distal segment having an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the proximal segment. An intermediate segment is formed between the proximal and distal segments, which forms a truncated cone of which the base is forming the proximal end of the intermediate segment and of which the top is forming the distal end of the intermediate segment. A covering layer is arranged within the tubular wall.

  • Patent number: 6808462
Abstract: A training shoe for soccer includes a pressure-responsive sensor mounted with respect to a soccer shoe at a selected location, for example at the instep or along the laces at the top of the shoe. When a soccer ball is kicked at the selected location, the sensor provides an electrical signal to a microprocessor, causing selection logic in the microprocessor to choose one of several control words. The selected control word is provided to a voice playback circuit to select one of several digital data sets, each set corresponding to a different sound. The playback circuit provides an analog electrical control signal to a speaker, thereby generating a selected sound corresponding to the selected digital data set. System components can be mounted permanently to a shoe, or to a cover or strap arrangement releasably mounted to the shoe.

  • Patent number: 6769516
Abstract: An oil containment boot to prevent oil spillage during removal of inverted oil filter canisters and method of using same. The oil containment boot includes a peripheral side wall defining an open top end and an open bottom end. The open bottom end of the boot is operably sealingly secured over the oil filter receiving base such that the peripheral side wall extends upwardly a distance above the oil filter receiving base to surround at least the lower portion of the inverted oil filter canister. Upon removal of the inverted oil filter canister from the oil filter receiving base through the open top end, any oil in the inverted oil filter canister is contained within the peripheral side wall of the boot.

  • Patent number: 6755855
Abstract: A stent deployment device includes a flexible, elongate interior catheter and a retaining structure cooperating with the catheter to support a stent along a distal end support region of the catheter. The stent is supported in a reduced radius delivery state to facilitate delivery to a treatment site in a body lumen, by advancing the device over a previously positioned guidewire. An opening at the distal end of the device receives the guidewire into a guidewire lumen of the interior catheter. A second opening through the catheter wall just proximally of the support region allows passage of the guidewire to the exterior of the catheter, whereby the guidewire is contained within the device only along the distal end region. The retaining structure can include an exterior catheter surrounding the interior catheter and stent, and moveable axially relative to the interior catheter.

  • Patent number: 6748885
Abstract: An agricultural seed planter and seed meter therefore, wherein the seed meter includes a rotary vacuum drum disposed within a stationary housing to entrain individual seeds on an annular circumferential periphery of the drum. As the entrained seeds rotate with the drum the seeds are singulated before being released from said vacuum drum. The seed metering and dispensing device is adapted to be mounted below the seed hopper to discharge the seeds into a seed tube as is conventional, or alternatively the seed metering and dispensing device is preferably adapted for mounting just above the soil surface and between the furrow opening assembly and furrow closing wheel assembly of a conventional agricultural planter such that the seeds are deposited directly into the seed furrow.
