Abstract: A method of programming a microcomputer based controller system for a bathing installation. The microcomputer is configured to receive input command and sensor information from a plurality of input devices including a control panel and a bathing installation sensor, and acts on the input information operating according to a program running on the microcomputer which performs control functions for a plurality of bathing installation functions, including operating a water heater and a water pump of the bathing installation.
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a system for mounting a sink to a support structure includes first and second support members. The first and second support members are adapted for fitting together along a range of positions to provide a variable length sink support system. Leveling devices are adapted for engagement with the support member and for contacting sink surfaces.
Abstract: A control system for a bathing installation which has one or more electrically powered devices. A line voltage service is connected through a GFCI to power the electrically powered devices, the GFCI adapted to interrupt the service upon detection of a ground fault. A trip circuit may induce a ground fault and trip the GFCI in response to a trip signal, thereby disabling application of electrical power to the electrically powered devices. An electronic circuit is responsive to a fault condition for generating the trip signal.

Abstract: A fully formed flared portion is molded as part of the main body of the one embodiment of the fitting. The flared portion is inserted through the back side of a retaining cap. A collet assembly is assembled together around the smallest diameter of the tube fitting below the flare. The collet assembly is fitted into the top of a mating nut. The retaining cap is then snapped onto the top of the nut, completing the assembly.
Abstract: A system for remotely monitoring and/or controlling a pool or spa. The remote control can utilize a microprocessor-based data acquisition and processing system, along with a network interface, to provide remote access to the pool or spa parameters, including but not limited to: temperature, pH, and ORP levels; and the status and control of pumps, heaters, ozone apparatus, and filters. The information is presentable via the Internet, a private or other networks, and can be accessed through known browsers or other convenient interfaces, allowing for operation across all computing platforms.

Abstract: A spa system comprises an electrically powered heater. The electrically powered heater comprises a heating element capable of drawing a rated current when switched on to an AC line voltage. An electronic control system is programmed to control the heating element to draw less than the rated current.
Abstract: A flame detection system includes a plurality of sensors for generating a plurality of respective sensor signals. The plurality of sensors includes a set of discrete optical radiation sensors responsive to flame as well as non-flame emissions. An Artificial Neural Network may be applied in processing the sensor signals to provide an output corresponding to a flame condition.

Abstract: A drilling system includes a stationary base table for supporting a work piece under process at a fixed position at a drilling spindle station. A drilling spindle carries and applies rotational force to a drilling tool. A compound overhead guiding system carries the spindle above the work piece under process. The overhead guiding system includes a Y drive system for moving the spindle along a Y axis in relation to the base table, and an X drive system for driving the spindle along an X axis. The guiding system has a lightweight laminated crossbeam structure for carrying the spindle and X axis drive system.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for remotely monitoring a status of a spa installation includes transmitting wireless status commands from a spa monitor to a spa installation over a wireless link, and generating an alarm if status data is not returned via the wireless link.

Abstract: A test system and method for testing a spa system which includes a spa tub for holding water, an electronic controller system which controls the spa system functions, and one or more controlled devices. The system and method exercises the controlled devices during a testing regime, and monitors electrical current drawn by the spa system during the testing regime. The electrical current drawn by the spa system during the testing regime can be compared with an expected current draw specification.
