    Abstract: The method of geophysical prospecting of polymineral ore bodies including registering pulsed electromagnetic radiation generated by the ore bodies under the action of elastic waves excited in the rock block. The radiation is registered as pulse bursts, each burst corresponding to one ore body. The shape of a pulse corresponding to the ore body under investigation is compared with the shapes of pulses corresponding to ore bodies of the known mineral compositions, and one similar pulse is selected from these pulses. Then a pulse from the burst corresponding to the ore body under investigation is subjected to the Fourier transformation to obtain the pulse height-frequency spectrum of this pulse, which is compared with the pulse height-frequency spectrum of the selected pulse, and when at least two frequencies of the maximums of the amplitudes of these respective spectra coincide, there is established correspondence between the mineral compositions of the known ore body and of the ore body under investigation.

The recessed marker surfaces are vertical or at least inclined to the horizontal to insure water run-off and are formed either directly in cast-in-place concrete roadway members or in pre-cast polymer concrete facing panels which are attached to the cast-in-place concrete roadway members. The roadway delineator is substantially continuously protected from normal wear and reliably exhibits reflectivity both under dry and rainy weather conditions.

    Abstract: An automatic system for analysis of sizes of a ground material includes a sampler for sampling and delivering the ground material in the form of a slurry. A sedimentation of cylinder is provided as is a device for reception of the slurry, its stirring and dosed supply into the sedimentation cylinder. A differential circuit is provided for measuring the mass of the ground material, which did not settle in the sedimentation cylinder as any instant of time during the analysis of the material size including a measuring channel and a correcting channel based on the same LC self-excited oscillator operating in a time sharing mode. An automatic error correction circuit and a data processing and display unit are provided for presenting information on the percentage of solid particles in the sizes being analyzed.

An additional sleeve is traversable, set coaxially with the traversable sleeve of the registering means, and the end of said additional sleeve is concave-shaped.

The device effecting the method as claimed has a cement-sand fed system (11), a piston (3) arrnged in the pipeline (1) with an annular clearance (12) to distribute the mortar layer on the internal surface of the pipeline, a chamber (13) accommodating the flexible hose (5) and communicating therewith by a flowing medium feed system (15), said flowing medium serving as a means for feeding, turning out and pressing the flexible hose (5) to the mortar layer (4) formed on the surface of the pipeline.

All of the drawing blocks of the first wire drawing section are driven by a single drive, while the tandem and the final capstan drawing blocks on the second wire drawing section are actuated by a second drive. The dies associated with each tandem drawing block of the second section are movable so that a number of different wire sizes can be produced by appropriately moving the dies and adjusting the speed of the first drive to provide a desired wire speed entering into the second wire drawing section.

A joint winding or reeling off of the hoses (4 and 5) and the pull rope (6) make it possible to substantially streamline the maintenance of the device, as well as freely pass the working medium and the cement-sand mixture and water for washing the hose (5) through the hoses.

    Abstract: The method of electric-arc condenser-discharge percussion stud welding includes prepositioning a stud on an article, retracting the stud from the article while igniting an auxiliary arc between them, and moving the stud towards the article. While the stud is thus moved, the voltage drop across the auxiliary electric arc is measured, and from the value thus measured is subtracted the sum of electrode-adjoining voltage drops at the end of the stud and at the article, and when the voltage drop value thus obtained varies by 10 to 90 percent from the initially obtained value of the voltage drop, the discharge of the condenser is initiated. Then the stud is introduced into the molten metal of the article, and the end of the stud is butted with the article to form a welded joint.

    Abstract: Apparatus for use in cooling and/or drying or cleaning elongate material, such as drawn wire, tube or strip material, the apparatus comprising a chamber, which may be formed at least in part by a flexible tube, having an inlet and an outlet through which the material enters and leaves the chamber, and the chamber is connected via an outlet passage to a device which creates a sub-atmospheric pressure within the chamber. The sub-atmospheric pressure lowers the evaporation temperature of the cooling liquid which is on the surface of the material which evaporates and cools the material and the sub-atmospheric pressure causes air to flow into the chamber around the material in the region of the outlet and this airflow is at high velocity and wipes the material. The apparatus is preferably located on the end of a structure in which a drawing die is housed.
