Abstract: An electric machine stator comprises a core with slots for placing winding bars therein. The winding bars are locked within the slots by pairs of oppositely directed wedges. To eliminate the possibility of an axial displacement of the wedges and, as a result, a looseness of wedging the winding bars, the peripheral portions of extreme wedges adjoining the winding bars protrude outside the stator core and have cross slots with a band located therein which also surround the stator winding bars.

Abstract: Drum handling apparatus having a generally vertically oriented main frame member attachable to a standard tractor three-point lifting hitch. A base plate slidable under the drum to be lifted is attached in substantially transverse relation to the lower end of the main frame member, and a latch means engageable with the upper rim of the drum is pivotally attached to the upper end of the main frame member. Rearward movement of the apparatus causes the latch means to engage the upper rim of the drum and the drum is tilted rearwardly by contact with the frame member, allowing the base plate to be slipped beneath it. Operation of the tractor hitch elevates the drum handling apparatus to engage and lift the drum upon the base plate.
Abstract: A pressure switch assembly comprising a bellows expansible in response to a working pressure, an L-shaped actuating plate pivotably responsive to the expansion of the bellows and actuating a microswitch, an adjustable compression spring arranged against the bellows, an adjustable tension spring connected against the compression spring through the actuating plate and a stopper of the tension spring. The arrangement of the tension spring, the actuating plate and the stopper is simplified by making the spring directly connect with the actuating plate to eliminate a connection member.

Each of the base member and the arms has a pad for gripping a cable or group of cables. Each of the arms having two longitudinal grooves, one in each side edge of the arm and each arm pad having projections which engage in said grooves so that the arm pads are slidable for at least limited movement along said arms.

Abstract: A fuel composition which comprises a high-boiling petroleum fuel and an additive. The additive incorporates compounds of elements Mg, and/or Ca and/or Mn, and/or Al, and/or Fe and also an ash-containing resin. The additive is prepared by thermal processing of a solid fuel with the formation of a dust-containing vapor-gas mixture. Thereafter, a resin is condensed from the vapor-gas mixture which is incorporated with the above-mentioned compounds of said elements and, finally, the resin is discharged along with the deposited dust.

Abstract: Installation includes a throttle assembly built in the blast-furnace outlet pipe and at least two gas turbines with blast furnace gas heaters also built in the outlet pipe and being parallel with the throttle assembly. Each of the gas turbines having a control diaphragm and a stop diaphragm is provided with a separate drive for turning thereof. The installation is also furnished with an isodromic regulator, for the gas pressure under the shaft top of the blast furnace, electrically connected to the separate drives of the throttles, being a part of a throttle unit and by means of a logic control unit being connected to separate drives of the control diaphragms of the gas turbines. The regulator preselects a sequence of operation of the above drives, when in the process of gas pressure control under the shaft top in the super-capacity blast furnace, to open in the first-turn the control diaphragms of the gas turbines and then to open the throttles which are a part of the throttle assembly.

Abstract: A puppet controller including a hand manipulatable frame, a pair of arms mounted on the frame for movement relative to the frame and to each other, the arms being connectible to parts of the puppet for animating the same by arm movement, and a slidable member which in one position permits movement of the arms relative to each other and to the frame and in another position constrains the arms to simultaneous movement relative to the frame.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for disintegrating urniary concretions by subjecting the urinary concretions to ultrasonic forces and electro-hydraulic impacts. For this purpose the apparatus comprises a milling cutter and a discharge arrester alternately inserted into the ureter through a catheter and provided with stops adapted to restrict the axial movement of the milling cutter and the discharge arrester inside the catheter. The method for disintegration of urinary concretions by means of said apparatus includes ultrasonic and electro-hydraulic actions carried out alternatively without withdrawing the catheter from the ureter to completely disintegrate the concretion during one session of treatment.

Abstract: A date reminder calendar includes a plurality of stacked sheets each representing a different date. Each of the sheets is provided with an elongate marking area which is adapted to be marked in a manner readily distinguishable from similar areas which have not been marked. Each sheet is formed with a plurality of elongate parallel openings or slots which are successively smaller in relation to the marking area and each of which is aligned with another marking area on another sheet. By stepping or displacing the marking areas from each other on successive sheets of a group of sheets to avoid overlap, a marked area becomes larger and more prominent with the removal of each successive sheet to thereby increasingly signify the imminency of the date and the reminder associated with the marked area.
Abstract: A thin-film cryotron using a distributed Josephson junction is proposed. The functions of the Josephson junction are performed by a bridge of variable thickness. The control line is located above one of the contact electrodes, and it may be displaced from the boundary between the electrode and the bridge jumper by a distance less than the width of the bridge jumper or it may be placed so that one of its sides is coincident with this boundary. The electrode which has the control line located above it may be provided with a hole made near the control line on the side opposite to the jumper.

Abstract: The proposed apparatus is used to apply thin films of metals semiconductor and dielectric materials onto the surfaces of different articles. The apparatus comprises a vacuum chamber accommodating a discharge chamber with at least a single slit in one of its walls. An electric field produces a plasma flow between an anode and a hot cathode arranged in the discharge chamber so that the hot cathode is located opposite the slit of the discharge chamber. A magnetic system produces a magnetic field extending through the hot cathode and slit perpendicular to the electric field between the anode and hot cathode. A target and an article holder are arranged on opposite sides of the plasma flow leaving the slit.As a negative potential is applied to the target, plasma ions sputter the material of the target, which is deposited on the article, producing a thin film on its surface.
