  • Patent number: 6058477
Abstract: In authentication using a plurality of cipher keys, the authentication time is shortened. In the case that an encipher key to encipher key are required to take an access to each area out of the area to area in a memory of an IC card, a plurality of areas to have an access is informed to the IC card from a reader writer, a plurality of cipher keys corresponding to these areas (for example, cipher key 1, cipher key 2, and cipher key 4) is read out, and reduction processing section generates one reduction key from these cipher keys. A random number which is generated from a random number generation section of the reader writer is transferred to the IC card, and an encipherment section enciphers the random number using the reduction key. The reader writer receives the enciphered random number from the IC card, and deciphers it using the reduction key, and judges the IC card to be proper if the deciphered random number is equal to the generated random number.

  • Patent number: 6058037
Abstract: Reflux diode 5u.about.5w and 5x.about.5z are in anti-parallel connected to MOSFET 4u.about.4w and 4x.about.4z. When MOSFET 4u.about.4w and 4x.about.4z are turned OFF, an electric current flows in a forward direction to reflux diode 5u.about.5w and 5x.about.5z. In the case of this construction, when for example reflux diode 5u disconnects, a small inverse voltage is applied from inverse voltage applied circuit 7 to reflux diode 5u. For this reason, as the inverse recovery of reflux diode 5u is produced by low voltage direct current power source 8 of inverse voltage applied circuit 7, loss occurring at reflux diode 5u is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6041426
Abstract: Data or its inverse, is written into a regular structure, such as a RAM, while stepping through the address range. The data is then read out and a determination is made as to success or failure. The scheme is based upon a Johnson counter being the source of the data, or its inverse. This style of counting has the unique property that, every time a "count" takes place, the parity associated with the Johnson counter output will "toggle," since only one bit is allowed to change. Reliance on this parity toggling determines possible failures.

  • Patent number: 6037812
Abstract: In a delay locked loop (DLL) based clock signal synthesizer, which overcomes the accumulated jitter and reference clock noise problems of VCO based circuits, the VCO is replaced by a multi-stage delay line formed by differential variable delay elements. The outputs of the delay stages are fed into differential XOR gates. The outputs from the differential XOR gates are fed into a multi-input differential NOR gate. Both the reference clock and delay line output are the inputs to a phase comparator contained in a DLL loop logic block which converts the differential inputs to single ended and uses a digital loop to provide proportional control to correct any detected phase error. The output of the digital loop logic is a vector used to control a current digital-to-analog converter, which is used to mirror a control current to the delay stages of the delay line. The amount of mirrored current controls the delay of the delay stages.
