  • Patent number: 6118981
Abstract: To ascertain in a pseudo-incoming call sequence whether or not a fixed subscriber unit of a user is set to an operation condition to wait for an incoming call, when a pseudo-incoming call is transmitted from a pseudo-incoming call outputting unit of a base station managing apparatus to the fixed subscriber unit through a wireless base station and a radio communication path, the fixed subscriber unit outputs an incoming call response signal to the base station managing apparatus through the wireless base station. Therefore, the base station managing apparatus can recognize that the fixed subscriber unit is set to an operation condition. Thereafter, to prevent a telephone connected with the fixed subscriber unit outputting a ringer sound, in place of a ringer sound urging signal in an incoming call sequence, a sequence interrupting signal is output from an incoming call sequence interrupting unit of the base station managing apparatus to the fixed subscriber unit through the wireless base station.

  • Patent number: 6108556
Abstract: This invention relates to a mobile station locating method for locating a mobile station based on a mobile communications system. Radio zones of base stations are dissected into a plurality of search areas (grid sections). A positional relationship between base stations and a concerned search area is defined by mutual time differences in the radio wave propagation between them. The base stations transmit their characteristic signals. Time differences in the propagation of the characteristic signals are caused between transmission of the characteristic signals at respective base stations and reception at a mobile station. Mutual differences in their propagation times are used to identify a search area where the mobile station is present. Thus, the position of the mobile station can be identified by an area not by a point.

  • Patent number: 6102188
Abstract: Electronic chips accumulated at random directions are arranged in an orderly line by a chip part supplier. A chip part feeder transfers the first aligned chip onto a printed circuit board. Chip parts having random directions in a hopper are fed to a discharge channel, organized in a prescribed direction and transferred through the discharge channel before being discharged through the channel bottom end onto a conveying belt before being carried by the belt in a prescribed direction. A clearance forcefully caused between the first chip and next chip separates the two chips completely just before the first chip is picked up. The thus separated first chip part is picked up by a suction head before being transferred to the printed circuit board.

The unidirectional joint includes a stator having a waveguide. A rotor is rotatable through a full 360.degree. revolution and is concentric to the stator. Light transmitters are positioned on a first circumference and connected to one of the stator and the rotor. Each of the transmitters emits an optical signal. Light receivers are positioned on a second circumference and connected to the other one of the stator and the rotor. Each of the transmitted optical signals is emitted tangentially into the waveguide and is reflected in short chordal lengths along the waveguide. Each optical signal is received by at least one of the second plurality of light receivers through the full 360.degree. revolution of the rotor. The number of light receivers is greater than the number of light transmitters. Certain receivers do not receive an optical signal during a portion of the 360.
