The system comprises a user authentication section for identifying a user and an information acquisition history managing section for retaining and managing a demand for information acquisition from the information accessing terminal, with the information acquisition history managing section retaining and managing demands in units of users. Also included in the system is an additional information managing section for managing additional information for the demand said information acquisition history managing section manages.

Abstract: An optical recording medium includes a transparent substrate having a surface formed with a track of pits. A reflecting layer extends on the surface of the transparent substrate. These gathers are covered with a flap comprising portions of the topsheet and the backsheet extending from an upper end of the front waist region downward beyond the elastic member. Abstract: A pump unit is provided which sucks a material having a high viscosity contained in a container and to pump it to a nozzle under pressure. An axial member which performs sucking and pumping of the material is connected with the pump unit. The axial member is axially slidable by the pressure of air supplied to the cylinder. The material which is sucked into the pump unit is discharged from the nozzle by the increase in pressure occurred when the axial member descends. A sensor is provided in the vicinity of the axial member. A result of detection of the sensor is supplied to a controller. A reference speed when constant rate application is performed is presettable in the controller. Correction of pressure is conducted by comparing the actual moving speed of the axial member with the reference speed.
Abstract: A CDMA communication system comprises: N antennas, arranged for space diversity receiving, for receiving a CDMA direct conversion radio wave signal including data to respectively generate N reception CDMA signals; a searching circuit for searching a phase of PN code in one of the N reception CDMA signals; N phase tracking circuits having N correlation detectors for tracking phases of the PN codes in the N reception CDMA signals in accordance with the searched phase to generate phase information of the PN codes, respectively; N de-spreading circuits for de-spreading the N received CDMA direct conversion signals in accordance with the phase information, respectively; and a diversity combining circuit for combining outputs of the N de-spreading circuits to provide the space diversity receiving to output the combined signal.

Abstract: A compact microwave downstream plasma system includes, within a significantly small portable housing unit, a power supply, a microwave generator, a non-linear waveguide, a circulator, a dummy load, a plasma applicator, and an igniter. The microwave generator supplies microwaves to the guide to the applicator. The guide includes several curved regions that allow for a more compact design. The applicator is configured to generate a plasma and output reactants that can be used to remove photoresist layers from a wafer within a process reactor.

Abstract: A frequency domain auto-tuning and continually adapting control regulating apparatus is applied to a linear stable process. A FFT based identification is applied to non-transformable samples of transient signals to obtain simultaneous and accurate multiple-point estimates of a frequency domain approximation of the process transfer function as an estimate of a frequency response. A linear least squares multiple-point-fitting process provides regulator design parameters. A multiple-point-fitting transfer function modeling process is disclosed, and an adaptive regulator design process is applied to compensate for changes in the process set-point or for load disturbances. In addition, techniques are provided for auto-tuning of multivariable regulators.
Abstract: A magnetic disk unit of the present invention has a construction in which: a rotor, on which a magnetic disk is loaded, is integrally formed with a sleeve portion of a ball bearing unit, or with a spindle of a spindle motor for driving the disk, or with an inner or an outer race of the ball bearing unit in a disk drive unit of the magnetic disk unit, so that: alignment operations of the rotor with the ball bearing unit are eliminated in assembling operations of the magnetic disk unit; and, the rotor is free from radial vibrations to improve the disk in recording density and reliability, whereby the number of parts of the magnetic disk unit and the number of assembling operation or steps of the magnetic disk unit are reduced, which leads to reduction of the manufacturing cost of the magnetic disk unit.
Abstract: A user initially judges whether each of pieces of information input as learning information is necessary or unnecessary, matrix elements of an affirmative metric signal indicating the records of the necessary information and matrix elements of a negative metric signal indicating the records of unnecessary information are calculated in a learning unit from a plurality of keywords attached to the necessary information and the unnecessary information. Thereafter, a plurality of keywords attached to each piece of information data input to be estimated are converted into a vector in a vector generating unit, and an affirmative score signal and a negative score signal are calculated from the vector and the affirmative and negative metric signals in a score calculating unit.

Abstract: A chip component feeding apparatus translates chip components in alignment along a passage and feeds the foremost chip component to a predetermined take-out position. The foremost chip component is separated from the remaining translated chip components. Abstract: A bow arm support stabilizer system for supporting the weight of the bow while aiming and shooting is disclosed. A pair of clamping arms attached to the horizontal connecting shaft extend rearwardly to locate clamping jaws respectively adjacent side surfaces of the riser section. The clamping arms are pivoted on the horizontal section to urge the jaws into clamping contact with the riser section. A telescopic support rod assembly is pivotally mounted to the front end of the horizontal shaft. The rod assembly includes at least three rods telescopically connected together with internal locking mechanisms between adjacent rod sections to effectively control the length of the rod assembly by rotation of one rod relative to another in a locking direction or reverse rotation in an unlocking direction.

A small pattern removing section removes small patterns from a binary image sent from the mask judging section. An expanding section expands a pattern involved in a binary image by an amount equivalent to k1 pixels when this binary image is sent from the small pattern removing section. A contracting section contracts a pattern involved in a binary image by an amount equivalent to k2 pixels when this binary image is sent from the expanding section.

Abstract: A method of communication between a base station with at least a mobile unit communication apparatus, a base station and a mobile unit communication apparatus employing the method are disclosed. The base station has a plurality of antennas for the antenna diversity. Transmission data is spectrum-spread with a pn code for a target mobile unit communication apparatus and a pilot signal is also spectrum-spread with a pn code every antenna, which are frequency-multiplexed. A mobile unit de-spectrum-spreads the pilot signal with one of pn codes selected, which corresponds the transmitting antenna. The pilot signal and data may be time-division-multiplexed in a time slot. Data of the used antenna is transmitted by the base station by a position of null data in the time slot, or differentially coded which is detected by a null data detection circuit or by the delayed detection. Data of the antenna used may be transmitted by a mobile unit communication apparatus.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for transmitting musical performances over the Internet from a single point such as a piano Internet web site to multipoint such as player pianos located within subscriber's homes. A subscription service associated with the web site would offer monthly subscription services where a subscriber can access any one of millions of prerecorded performances at any time of day and have a signal transmitted to the subscriber's computer. A transmitted signal is received at the subscriber's computer and a musical instrument, such as a player piano, can perform the prerecorded performance. The web site would also offer a mix of live performances as part of the basic subscription at additional cost, at a pay-per-performance basis. The musical performance would be either a live performance which would be transmitted from point to multipoint or prerecorded performance which would be more typically sent from a storage device associated with the web site directly to a single customer.
