  • Patent number: 6851601
Abstract: A dual pizza pie container system is provided, which includes a solid rectangular enclosure and a pizza support platform within the enclosure. The pizza support platform includes four foldable equilateral flaps which, when folded to generally right angles relative to a central base, define an octahedron having four long edges defining a virtual square and four alternating diagonal edges at corners of the support platform when folded. One of the equilateral flaps is provided with an aperture therein which effects registration with the an aperture of the fourth sidewall of the top cover of the enclosure in which widths of the equilateral sidewalls of the platform define about one-half of the height of the sidewalls of the enclosure. Thereby, upper and lower interior solid horizontal compartments, one above and one below the platform, are defined when the support platform is positioned within the enclosure and the enclosure is closed.

  • Patent number: 6833142
Abstract: A method for prevention and treatment of multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating conditions is disclosed. The method includes two subsequent phases. In each phase, a patient orally administers daily a regimen which includes a specific combination of amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. The particular regimens provide vital nutrients necessary to re-build fatty acids that may have been lost or reduced in the myelin sheathing and other locations of brain, therefore decrease one's susceptibility to multiple sclerosis and prevent reoccurrence of the disease.

  • Patent number: 6770695
Abstract: An implant composition having controlled resorption rate in vivo for stimulating bone growth, a method of making the implant composition, and a kit of implant materials are disclosed. The implant composition includes a calcium sulfate compound, polymer containing particles, and a setting agent for setting the calcium sulfate compound and the polymer containing particles into a heterogeneous solid composition. Upon setting, the calcium sulfate compound forms a matrix and the polymer containing particles settled within the matrix. The resorption rate of the implant composition in vivo can be controlled of between eight and twenty-four weeks, which substantially matches the rate of bone growth. The implant composition of the present invention can be used for the repair, augmentation, and other treatment of bone.

  • Patent number: 6759134
Abstract: A process for forming a metallic article having a black ornamental surface includes the steps of metallurgically providing an alloy containing between about 51 and 70 about percent by weight of titanium, between about 3 and about 17 percent by weight of niobium, and the balance of a metal selected from the group consisting of zirconium, tantalum, molybdenum, hafnium zirconium, chromium, and mixtures thereof. The alloy is then casted and/or metal worked into a workpiece having a desired geometry and surface texture. The workpiece thereof is then baked in a kiln or oven in a substantially air atmosphere of between about 450 and about 850 degrees C. for a period of between about one and about 29 minutes. Resultant of such baking, there is produced a durable black surface layer consisting substantially of an oxide of niobium which is adhered to the substrate of the workpiece which remains unoxidized.

  • Patent number: 6701158
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for the blocking of transceptions of a wireless communication device situated within an area or space designated, for purposes of safety or security, for protection from selectable electromagnetic frequencies. The system, more particularly, includes elements for detecting and identifying the selected frequencies transmitted from the wireless device; a subsystem for blocking the frequencies which are received by the device; elements for electronic communication between the detecting elements and the blocking elements; and an actuator for the blocking elements. The system must be situated within sufficient physical relationship to the wireless communication device to permit reception of frequencies generated by it and the transmission, without use of unacceptable power levels, of blocking noise.
