Abstract: A security assembly for a sliding glass door of the type movably fitted within a generally rectangular supporting frame structure wherein a bottom sash includes an open channel having rollers therein for rollable engagement with a rail extending along the length of a sill of the supporting frame. Two pair of J-shaped fittings are removably attachable with a lower edge of the bottom sash at opposite ends thereof such that a hooked portion of each fitting extends upwardly within one of two longitudinal grooves formed on opposite lower sides of the rail thereby preventing lifting and removal of the door from its fitted position within the supporting frame structure.
Abstract: A drainage system for draining water from a top surface of a tarpaulin to prevent accumulation of water thereon, having a drain fitting including a top plate having a central aperture extending therethrough and a rigid tube integrally formed about the central aperture and extending downwardly therefrom. An open bottom end of the tube has a cutting edge formed thereabout terminating at a sharpened distal point structured and configured for puncturing and passage through the tarpaulin. A bottom keeper plate and locking element are removably fitted about the rigid tube being removably positionable into engagement with a lower surface of the tarpaulin in clamping relation to the top plate on the top surface of the tarpaulin so as to maintain the drain fitting in fixed attachment thereto. A flexible conduit is removably connected at one end to the open end of the rigid tube with an opposite end positioned in a drain hole or bilge of the boat so that water will drain thereto from the top surface of the tarpaulin.
Abstract: A security mailbox, to be used to securely and inconspicuously hold incoming mail while providing an accessible means for a mailman to pick up outgoing mail. The mailbox includes a readily accessible lower compartment and a locked upper compartment, accessible for mail delivery by a flapped opening and having a lockable back door, which are separated and defined by an angled dividing wall that remains substantially hidden when the lower compartment is accessed.
Abstract: A shock absorbent structure for use in the wall construction of carrying cases to prevent damage to the contents within a carrying case from shock impacts. The shock absorbent structure includes a central impact shield formed of a rigid, impact resistant thermoplastic material having an interior corrugated core extending between and connecting to opposite upper and lower layers. The impact shield is sandwiched between a pair of impact pads formed of a high impact foam material adapted to absorb a substantial shock impact exerted thereon. The foam impact pads with the impact shield sandwiched therebetween are adapted to be fitted within the wall construction of a carrying case between the outer shell and inner lining whereby a shock delivered to the outer shell of the carrying case will be substantially absorbed by the impact pad with any excessive shock being elastically dispersed throughout the interior core of the impact shield in a direction substantially parallel to the wall of the carrying case.
Abstract: A swim fin specifically designed for use by an amputee comprising a substantially planar, elongate flipper portion integrally formed with and extending from a receiving pocket adapted to be mounted to the end of a limb of the amputee. A pair of elongate straps are connected along a side of the receiving pocket, wherein the straps are specifically designed to wrap around the amputee's limb, being fastened by a pair of mating hook and loop pads on opposite ends of the straps, thereby effectively securing the swim fin to the amputee's limb.
Abstract: An applicator pad formed of a cosmetic sponge material for use in applying makeup to a person's upper eyelid area. A cosmetic substance such as a pigmented gel, cream, liquid powder, or dry powder is impregnated within an inner surface of the applicator being disposed in an array of colors or tones corresponding with a preferred application of makeup in accordance with a particular user's facial features and skin tone. The applicator is adapted to be placed against the upper eyelid area with the inner surface having the impregnated cosmetic substance contacting the user's skin whereupon application of pressure to an opposite outer surface of the applicator and removal thereof from the upper eyelid area serves to apply the prearranged array of makeup to the upper eyelid area as desired.
Abstract: A machine for the automatic making of coffee or like beverages from a plurality of preformed packets wherein each packet is successively delivered to a liquid delivery head and further a plurality of containers are each disposed in receiving relation with water flowing through individual ones of said plurality of packets from the delivery head for the collection of the formed beverage. A control assembly is provided to automatically regulate the synchronized movement of the delivery head into engaging relation with successively positioned packets and the supplying of liquid thereto at a predetermined time and in a predetermined quantity so that each packet, when successively and operatively positioned will form the correct amount of coffee in the aligned container.
Abstract: A fish hatchery assembly, to be used to segregate a fish tank into a portion for larger fish to swim and a portion where newly born fish may be kept safe, without requiring the removal of the mother fish to a separate area, the assembly including a filtering panel disposed horizontally and having a corrugated type configuration including a plurality of upper apexes and lower apexes, a vertical wall attached at a proximate end of the horizontal filtering panel and extending downward to contact a bottom surface of the fish tank, and a separator plate to keep larger fish from swiming above the filtering panel. The assembly contacts opposite inner sides of the fish tank to effectively divide the fish tank into two compartments, and includes a plurality of slots extending along each of the upper apexes of the filtering panel such that newly born fish may pass therethrough, but larger fish may not.
