Patent number: 4677307Abstract: Subject of the invention is a process for the realization of cogenerative supply of electricity and heat, and in given case for their combination with waste heat recovery, particularly in case of combined (gas-steam) cycle industrial power plants. The essential feature of the invention is that during the season without heat demand the condenser with heating capacity N is operated by cooling with cooling tower, and during the heat-intensive season it is operated at a higher temperature required for the heat supplying operation mode, while the cooling tower (7) is disconnected partially or completely, and the resultant reduction of the specific expansion and heating capacity of the steam turbine (4) is compensated by increasing the steam parameters and steam output of the waste heat recovery boiler (3) with supplementary firing (11).Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 1985Date of Patent: June 30, 1987Assignee: Energiagazdalkodasi IntezetInventors: Zoltan Vadas, Zoltan Belcsak, Istvan Papp, Bela Wenzel, Geza Takacsy

Patent number: 4674721Abstract: A two-part merchandise display hook for apertured panel boards and the like comprising a base member and a hook member, where the hook member is of a known type having upper and lower outwardly extending wire-like arms joined at the back by a short vertical section. A short cross bar is mounted horizontally to the short vertical section and serves as a pivot mounting for the hook member. The base member is formed of sheet metal, shaped to provide cross bar mounting tabs with L-shaped slots for receiving the cross bar. An abutment panel is provided on the base member, which bears against the lower portion of the vertical wire section. The hook may be easily installed and removed from its cross bar engaging slots by predetermined upward tilting. The design nevertheless resists accidental dislodgement. The design is especially desirable for supporting heavy loads and/or where easy removal and replacement of the hook is desired.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 1986Date of Patent: June 23, 1987Assignee: Trion Industries Inc.Inventor: David R. Patent number: 4671598Abstract: A terminal connector assembly is disclosed, for joining a connector plug or the like to a multi-conductor shield and cable. The assembly comprises first and second backshell housing members. The first or forward housing member has a closed tubular configuration at its forward end, joinable with the connector plug. The remote portion of the housing is of partial tubular configuration, preferably semi-cylindrical, and has a threaded portion at its remote and extremity. A second backshell housing is complementary to the partial tubular configuration of the first housing member and interfits closely with it, having a complementary threaded portion at its end extremity. A tubular sleeve is insertable laterally into the open side of the backshell member. The sleeve houses clamping rings securing the shielding braid of the cable. The construction allows the braid to be engaged and clamped prior to lateral installation of the sleeve within the backshell housing.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 1985Date of Patent: June 9, 1987Assignee: Schiller Industries Inc.Inventor: Julian L. Patent number: 4669718Abstract: A bi-directional actuator is disclosed which comprises a frame, rotatable about a principal longitudinal axis. The frame mounts two or more partially spherical drive elements. The centers of the partially spherical elements are located on the longitudinal axis of the frame, and the elements are mounted for rotation about individual axes which are perpendicular to but intersect with the longitudinal axes. The individual axes of the respective drive elements are also angularly oriented with respect to each other. The cross sectional outline of the frame is contained within a cylindrical envelope of less diameter than the spheres. Driving devices, such as a belt, are provided to engage at least one of the drive elements in any rotary position of the frame. Directly opposite the belt or other driving device, the driven element or elements engages a material to be driven, typically a piece of fabric.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1986Date of Patent: June 2, 1987Inventor: Herman Rovin

Patent number: 4668110Abstract: According to the invention, an inexpensive antifriction bearing is located in a plastic block and the plastic block is encircled by a further plastic ring. The softening point of the plastic ring is lower by 20.degree. C. than that of the material of the bearing block and between the softening point and melting point of the ring a difference of at least 30.degree. C. exists ensuring that in case of excessive warming up of the bearing, the sliding on each other of the plastic block and of the outer plastic ring as plain bearing, puts the bearing out of action for a certain time. The contact surfaces of the bearing block and the ring are spherical, ensuring the compensation of possible eccentricity by self-aligning. The ring is fixed in the seat of a roller by flanging. The invention renders superfluous the otherwise indispensable high-precision single-purpose machine or horizontal lathe for boring the roller, and makes possible the application of the technology of mass production.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1984Date of Patent: May 26, 1987Assignee: Nikex Nehezipari KulkereskedelmiInventors: Csaba /E/ geto, Zolt/a/ n Szalay, B/e/ la D/o/ r/o/ mb/o/ sy, K/a/ roly Krauz

Patent number: 4659445Abstract: In order to coat hollow bodies, which are open at one end, such as a metal can provided with a bottom, with a lacquer or the like, the hollow bodies are passed in a continuous operating cycle through en electrophoretic immersion bath in such a way, that they are rapidly and completely flooded with immersion bath liquid, so that they can be coated electrophoretically with a wet film in the immersion bath. After a sufficiently long coating time, the hollow bodies are lifted out of the immersion bath and the immersion bath liquid, contained in them, is poured out. The hollow bodies, so coated, are carried at a distance from each other to a drying kiln, in which they are dried, whereupon they can be printed or labelled.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1984Date of Patent: April 21, 1987Assignee: Herberts Gesellschaft mit Beschrankter HaftungInventors: Wolfgang Bogdan, Hans-Peter Patzschke, Hans-Jurgen Schlinsog

Patent number: 4619560Abstract: A prefabricated concrete module and a composite wall structure comprised of an assembly of modules, where the module comprises a generally rectangular front and rear panel, joined by at least one generally trapezoidal partition means. A cellular wall structure is formed by stacking the modules and aligning the partition means on top of each other, thereby forming bins which contain loose material contributing to the weight of the structure. Provisions can be made for slabs which span longitudinally across partition means of vertically contiguous modules. These slabs, which capture an additional amount of loose material, can also, where desired, transfer lateral forces between superposed partition means. In a version of the module, useful whether or not the trapezoidal partition means are employed, the longitudinal distance from a partition to the edge of the front panel, is less than half the distance between partitions.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1984Date of Patent: October 28, 1986Inventors: Edward V. Patent number: 4614305Abstract: An apparatus for indicating and controlling the vehicle speed and load of a mobile foliage chopping machine. As rotational speed of the chopping drum increases over its permissible minimum, a vehicle increasing speed control is carried out. Correspondingly, a decrease in speed due to increase in the working load of the chopping drum is compensated by a reduction of gear transmission of the driving machinery. Thus, the adjusted speed is held but in case of chopping drum overload, when rotational speed of the drum starts to fall below the permissible minimum, the vehicle speed control is discontinued, i.e., a speed decreasing intervention is done, therefore the permissible working load of chopping machine is held, while overload is avoided.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1985Date of Patent: September 30, 1986Assignee: MEM Muszaki IntezetInventors: Andras Fekete, Laszlo Seres, Istvan Foldesi, Vazul Rusz
