Abstract: An alphanumeric display including an array of 42 electrically energizable, light-emitting or reflecting segments which, when selectively energized, are capable of forming legibly all numerals and upper and lower case alphabet letters and/or mathematical and punctuation symbols. The array disclosed is characterized by arrangement of the light-emitting or reflecting elements in closely nested relation to form a vertically disposed rectangular display. A solid state system employing the display means including light-emitting diodes and switching transistors is disclosed.

Abstract: A teaching apparatus for teaching how to take measurements to connect two pieces of pipe whether or not such pieces are offset from each other or in a straight line. The apparatus includes a main support, an upstanding post laterally movable on the main support, a first pipe section holder on the post selectively movable vertically therealong and a sub-support spaced from the main support having an upstanding flange member laterally movable on the sub-support having a second pipe section holder thereon angularly adjustable with respect to the flange member on the sub-support. The pipe section holders can be used to clamp a pipe section therein and adjusted to set up a predetermined spacing and angular relationship between the unconnected pipe sections. The angularity of the main support and the sub-support in their horizontal planes can also be adjusted. In this manner, the apparatus can be used to teach the interconnection of the pipe sections or to actually determine the proper coupling therebetween.

Abstract: A multiple pen holder for pens having a pocket clip, wherein the pens are stored cap down-barrel up, wherein the clip of the barrel of each pen cooperates with a part of the holder to permit one hand removal and replacement of each pen's barrel within its cap.The holder may assume many configurations and hold any number of pens, the number being limited only by the physical size of the product.

Abstract: A compact portable folding boat comprising a mid section with a wheel coupled to the front of the mid section. The boat has sections hinged to each side of the mid section which fold up over the mid section for storage. The boat can be rolled on the wheel in a folded position, then opened to a fully operative position and a motor may be clamped onto the transom of the mid section. The interior of each section may be used to store various components of a boat and a collapsible chair may also be provided.

Abstract: Apparatus for towing a vehicle is disclosed having a first member mounted in a stowed position under the undercarriage of the tow vehicle and a second member telescopingly mounted within the first member and movable to an extended position out of the first member when the first member is released from its stowed position. A cross member is mounted at the free end of said second member and transverse thereto and has a towing vehicle wheel support at each end for receiving the front wheels of a vehicle to be towed. Straps are associated with each wheel support to secure the wheels of the vehicle to be towed to the wheel supports. In this manner, a front wheel drive vehicle can be towed without effecting the odometer and the apparatus can be stored under the undercarriage of the tow vehicle when not in use.

The device is affixed to the ceiling and to the post from which the fan housing is suspended, such that air containing pollutants that is pulled upward across the diameter of the fan blades, passes through the device.

Abstract: A log splitter having a wedge placed adjacent an end of the log to be split, a rod fixed to an end of the wedge remote from the log carried within an overlying housing. The rod and wedge are limited in the degree of travel by a bushing and a nailing gun propells the rod and the wedge into the log to be split since the gun is connected to the housing end remote from the wedge.
