  • Patent number: 7988517
Abstract: This invention generally relates to a set of parallelepipedal bodies (cubes) capable of matingly compatible engagement for interconnection with substantially similar cubes or matingly conformed rails, so as to allow up to three degrees of freedom in the sliding movement of an individual cube or grouping of cubes about a grouping of other interconnected cells from the set. Each cube is constructed from six plates with an interior physical configuration adapted for connection and that lends itself to monolithic injection molding. The exterior physical configuration of all plates are substantially similar. When a number of cubes are assembled into a cubic array, there can be slab movement, row movement or solo cube movement.

  • Patent number: 7955485
Abstract: The present invention is a method of manufacturing miniaturized organic laminate substrate PCB, semiconductors, semiconductor wafers and semiconductor devices that have a 50% reduction in physical dimensions with respect to prior art existing organic laminate substrate PCB, semiconductors, semiconductor wafers and semiconductor devices. The base planar substrate has a vapor deposited 0.02 mil thick copper cladding thereon its first planar surface that has been affixed atop a hydrophillic layer, and an adhesive layer on its second planar surface. The copper cladding has sufficient peel strength and a low enough etch factor so as to allow 10 micron (or smaller) electrical trace pathways to be formed thereon when the steps of a specifically designed manufacturing methodology are followed.

  • Patent number: 7937963
Abstract: The present invention is an architecturally advanced chiller unit having solid, insulated exterior walls adapted for the attachment of aesthetic surface treatments, pedestal supports for a bottom intake of ambient air, and separate chambers for electrical and hydraulic components. The roof houses inset modular fans adapted for topside maintenance and the roof also allows service accessibility to heat rejection components housed within the chiller unit enclosure. Heat removal is accomplished through angled heat exchangers also housed within the enclosure. Each enclosure has an end accessible vestibule that house electrical and refrigerant components. The chiller units design is also intended to allow the side by side placement of two or more units, for modularity. The improved aesthetic appearance of these units also eliminates the use of surrounding architectural parapet walls or screening units. The improved space effectiveness and modularity shall provide greater flexibility in building construction.

  • Patent number: 7909340
Abstract: A three wheeled vehicle that has an improved dual front wheel integrated steering and suspension system that allows the vehicle to be maneuvered by a combination of arm and leg steering movements coupled with front end leaning that shifts the center of mass of the vehicle down and toward the inside wheel. This transfer of mass counteracts a conventional cornering vehicle's tendency to fling its mass to the outside wheel and lift the inner wheel off the ground as well as changing the angle of the line of force exerted through the tires, and enhancing the vehicles's grip on the ground. The vehicle has a reduced amount of sliding and potential of flipping when turning sharply. The steering system is compatible with traditional ACKERMAN steering geometry wherein the inner wheel turns in a smaller diameter circle than the outer wheel.

  • Patent number: 7805810
Abstract: The present invention is an extremely compact three leaf geared hinge that is adapted to handle heavy loads, tightly fold back onto itself for space conservation, offer extensive freedom of movement in the horizontal plane and provide an extremely smooth operating action with minimal play in torsion as well as in axial or transverse motions. The hinge has three interconnected leaves jointed by hinge pins. The inner and outer leaves each have two fixed gears on their sides that meshingly engage a set of two rotating gears located on the sides of the middle leaf. The inner leaf has a cylindrical leaf and pin arrangement on one end that may be rotatably secured to a rigid member or housing. The free end of the outer leaf may be attached to the load directly or with a device that allows the load to rotate normally about the extended hinge.

  • Patent number: 7802403
Abstract: Commercial meat and perishable product refrigeration buildings commonly suffer from infiltration of moisture which normally occurs at the roof/wall junction where the roof meets the walls. Warm moist outside air is drawn into the cooler because of the lower pressure therein and once inside, forms ice which lowers the cooler temperature and causes freezer burn. By removing the building roof, and installing a moisture proof 40-50 mil thick sheet polymer membrane onto the cooler wall panels, over the top sill plate and the top header ledger board then welding it at the roof perimeter to the roofing membrane, an impermeable seal can be formed. To ensure the unitary integrity of the system, a flexible polymer mastic is trawled onto the wall panels before the membrane is affixed and a double sealing strip is screwed into the membrane though the mastic and into the wall panels.

  • Patent number: 7789044
Abstract: A level folding enclosure is provided for the secure containment and transport of a household pet. Self-tensioning, self-guided, frame members allow for the easy and taut assembly of the rigid support frame. Level folding allows for easy storage and transport when not in use. The frame is assembled and used within a machine washable fabric cover. Tent-style stake peg loops on the exterior corners of the cover and zipper locks ensure the pet's safety and well being. The fabric cover includes numerous pockets and retention devices for the storage of pet supplies. Access to the enclosed pet is possible through three sides of the six sided enclosure. For convenience a carrying case is provided.

  • Patent number: 7784155
Abstract: The present invention is a simultaneous, multiple plane opening vehicle door hinge, comprising a first leaf, a second leaf, and a third leaf. The first leaf and the second leaf are pivotally coupled defining a swing-out hinge adapted so as to enable rotation in a substantially horizontal plane about a substantially vertical axis of rotation. The second leaf and the third leaf are pivotally coupled about a lift bearing defining a vertical-lift hinge adapted so as to enable rotation in a substantially vertical plane about a substantially horizontal axis of rotation. A pin extending from the third leaf traverses along a groove in a guide block such that there is simultaneous swing-out and vertical-lift motion of the vehicle door upon an outward urging of the door.

  • Patent number: 7733234
Abstract: The present invention is a battery powered, portable microprocessor based early warning alarming smoke detector. It provides the user two different time limited unattended alarms, as well an alarm for a tipped smoke detector; an alarm for a bumped smoke detector; an alarm based on nearby or lower elevation smoke by either of the two smoke detection devices; and a low power alarm. It offers “full protection” for most of the likely scenarios encountered by residential users that could result in a fire. Since the device is microprocessor controlled, the timing intervals and magnitude of the different alarm notifications can be preprogrammed as well as the sensitivity of the smoke detector devices.

  • Patent number: 7722300
Abstract: An internally geared chuck that can generate sufficient torque to ensure adequate jaw gripping or jaw releasing force regardless of whether it is used in a keyless or key enabled chuck version. The key enabled version encompasses an internally housed, spring retracted chuck key that may be enabled to add additional torque to tighten or loosen the jaws when so required. The key enabled version may be operated with simple hand tightening in a keyless mode. The second embodiment has two levels of keyless operation. By drawing together elements of the chuck, a mechanical gearing advantage may be realized to add additional torque. In both embodiments all of the various sized and configured gears are housed within the chuck body.

  • Patent number: 7687696
Abstract: The present invention is a hollow body stringed musical instrument that utilizes a low mass, soundboard having a 12 to 25 foot radius dome configuration. The soundboard is made of a three ply torsion box design utilizing a honeycomb stiffening layer as the central core. Linear adjustable tuning braces are incorporated in the hollow body. The side and back of the instrument are also of a three ply construction having a polymer ir inorganic foam as the central layer. (Preferably this will be a closed cell foam.) The back also has a domed configuration with a 12 to 15 foot radius. All structural braces are eliminated from the interior of the instrument's body.
