  • Patent number: 7312706
Abstract: The present invention is a battery powered, portable microprocessor based early warning alarming ashtray. It provides the smoker two different time limited unattended cigarette alarms, as well an alarm for a tipped ashtray; an alarm for a bumped ashtray; an alarm based on nearby or lower elevation smoke by either of the two smoke detection devices; and a low power alarm. It offers “full protection” for most of the likely scenarios encountered by smokers that could result in a fire. Emptying of the ashtray by tipping overrides and disables the tipping alarm momentarily. Since the apparatus is microprocessor controlled, the timing intervals and magnitude of the different alarm notifications can be preprogramed as well as the sensitivity of the smoke detector devices.

  • Patent number: 7280439
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved countermeasure for circadian and sleep disruption as caused by a traditional alarm clock. It incorporates a lighting system at the alarm clock that, prior to the preset waking time, will emit a light that gradually increases in intensity as it changes the ultraviolet spectrum of light it emits, so as to simulate the rising sun. This will ease the waking process for many people, especially those prone to simple disruptions of their circadian regulation. It may also be set to operate in a reverse mode so as to simulate the setting sun thus helping stimulate melatonin production and easing one into sleep.

  • Patent number: 7273831
Abstract: This invention is a new floral preservative that utilizes a novel formulation of using a combination of known and readily available over the counter products that, when sprayed onto the flower as directed, approximately doubles the vase life of fresh cut flowers or preserves flowers to a pliable, non crumbly state approximating their naturally vibrant colors. It is applied to the exterior of the fresh cut flowers in a misting apparatus, therein simplifying the art of preserving flowers.

  • Patent number: 7240437
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved pipe sizing and alignment device that can quickly and precisely attach it's concave base to, and align itself with the horizontal axis of a circular, main pipe. Through the use of multiple lasers, one of which is mounted to an adjustable arm that pivots about the center of a graduated protractor mounted on the concave base, the device can be located along the main pipe and the collimated beam of light from the laser directed at a distant plumbing component. This shows the specific fitting location for a tie in between the main pipe and plumbing component that will allow the horizontal axis of the main pipe to remain true to it's original spatial position with respect to the building structure. An electronic distance measuring device, also mounted to the adjustable arm, precisely indicates distance.

  • Patent number: 7225474
Abstract: A two sided work glove assembled by the stitched union of several patterned pieces including a thumb enclosure piece or pieces, a middle fingers piece and a palm portion. The glove may include a cuff. The glove is easily adapted for different specific uses by the addition of an external or internal pad or an internal liner. The glove stitching is protected by protective overhanging strips incorporated between the palm portion and the finger and thumb enclosures.

  • Patent number: 7198270
Abstract: This invention generally relates to a set of parallelepipedal bodies (cells) capable of matingly compatible engagement for interconnection, so as to allow up to three degrees of freedom in the sliding movement of an individual cell or grouping of cells about a grouping of other interconnected cells from the set. Each cell may be monolithic or constructed from six face plates. For cubic and rhombohedral forms, the face plates are designed to interlock in construction with any other face plate to form a cell, regardless of the orientation of the face plates. A first set of cells utilizes a uniform face plate, each cell differing only in the orientation of this uniform face plate about the other uniform face plates on the cell. A second set of cells utilizes two different but matingly compatible face plates. Again, each cell differs only in the orientation of either of the matingly compatible face plates about the other face plates on the cell.

  • Patent number: 7066323
Abstract: An interlocking personal beverage container mixing system that utilizes at least two containers that interconnect such that their fluid contents may be mixed prior to dispensing. The containers, when threadingly engaged irreversibly connect and lock in a leakproof and spill proof fashion. Sanitary seals and safety seals ensure each container in the personal beverage mixing system remains free of foreign contaminants and alerts the purchaser to any tampering.

  • Patent number: 6808175
Abstract: A portable football inspired bolo throwing game of skill wherein two tethered miniature footballs are tossed onto a runged stand bearing resemblance to a football goalpost. The base of the runged stand accepts a placard with the name, insignia or logo of well known college or professional teams. In this way the owner can display his loyalty. The miniature footballs are similarly adorned. The ratio of the dimensions of the game pieces lead to a lively game where luck plays a greater role than does skill.

  • Patent number: 6616148
Abstract: A chuck that can be operated with or without a key, depending upon the amount of torque desired. The jaws are controlled by rotation of a screw ring about the axis of the chuck body that slides the jaws along jaw passages by engagement with teeth on the jaw surfaces. The screw ring is housed in a tightening knob that has a planar ring gear perpendicular to the chuck body axis. A tail section is rigidly attached to the chuck body below the tightening knob and houses a pinion gear that matingly engages the planar ring gear and rotates in concert with the tightening knob. Insertion of a hex key into a recess in the pinion gear allows the application of additional torque. Alternate embodiments incorporate a idler gear to reverse pinion gear rotation; locate the pinion gear in the tightening knob with the planar ring gear in the tail section; and utilize a planar ring gear on both the tail section and the tightening knob with a floating ring to house the pinion gear between the planar ring gears.
