  • Patent number: 4962605
Abstract: A firearm, particularly a piston, is provided with a trigger mechanism, which comprises a spring-loaded trigger rod, a trigger for moving the trigger rod, and locking means for preventing a movement of the trigger rod other than by an operation of the trigger. The trigger rod is slidably mounted and guided in the receiver of the firearm for a movement along a straight line. The trigger is directly mounted on the trigger rod for a limited pivotal movement. A spring is provided, which biases the trigger for a forward pivotal movement and exerts a forward tensile force on the trigger rod and when the trigger is in its initial position retains a nose of the trigger in a notch of the receiver.

  • Patent number: 4963827
Abstract: The instant invention is a magnetic field sensor intermittently shielded by a controllable, saturable, magnetic shield. The magnetic shield is periodically driven into saturation by means of an excitation coil. The magnetic field to be measured is not disturbed by the shield during those time intervals when the shield is saturated. Intermittent sensing of the magnetic field to be measured, by the intermittently shielded magnetic field sensor, yields a magnetic field measurement unaffected by l/f noise and offset errors.

  • Patent number: 4942951
Abstract: A liquid-friction coupling comprises a liquid-containing housing, a shaft, which coaxially protrudes into the housing, and the interdigitating sets of inner and outer blades, which are axially slidably mounted on the shaft and in the housing, respectively, and are non-rotatably connected thereto. Annular spreading springs are disposed between adjacent inner blades or adjacent outer blades. The distance between adjacent inner and outer blades can be changed by means of an annular piston, which is operable from the outside of the housing. To permit control of the liquid friction coupling within wide limits, the annular piston has a planar inner end face, which extends close to the blades and substantially throughout the cross-section of the interior of the housing. When the piston is in its outermost position the liquid contained in the housing is not in excess of 60% of the liquid capacity of the housing. The liquid has a viscosity of at least 30,000 centistokes.

  • Patent number: 4941394
Abstract: The trigger mechanism of a hand-held automatic firearm comprises a catch lever, which is pivoted on a transverse axis and is provided at its forward end with a pivoted catch pawl, which in a catching position engages a catching lug of a slider to arrest the slider as it moves forwardly from a rear position, to which the slider, which constitutes a part of a firing mechanism of the firearm, has moved against spring force when a round has been discharged. In order to provide such a firearm which has a trigger mechanism which is reliable in operation and can be made at low cost, the catch lever is adapted to be locked in its catching position against the force of a catch lever spring, the catch pawl is pivoted to the catch lever by means which permit a longitudinal movement of the catch pawl and the catch pawl is pivotally supported at its other end on an abutment, which is fixed to the receiver of the firearm.
