Abstract: A computer implemented system includes a computer readable storage medium which includes historical demand data for a plurality of advertising inventories, and a processor connected to the computer readable storage medium. The processor is configured for generating a first demand forecast for a first predetermined period of time and a second demand forecast for a second predetermined period of time. The processor is configured for adjusting the first demand forecast by removing an existing demand for each of the plurality of advertising inventories, and for generating a net forecasting demand for each of the plurality of inventories for a third predetermined period of time by combining the second demand forecast and an adjusted first demand forecast. The third predetermined period of time is based on the first and second predetermined periods.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for an accessory device for a mobile host device is disclosed. An accessory device for interfacing with a mobile host device includes a communication channel designed to establish a bi-directional communication link between the accessory device and the host device. In some embodiments, the accessory device allows walkie-talkie communication between an accessory device and a mobile host device as well as control by the accessory device of functions of the mobile host device. In some embodiments, the accessory device allows simplified speed dial control of a mobile phone host device. In other embodiments, accessory devices provide walkie-talkie communication with a mobile host device and provide positioning information to a mobile host device so that an application on the mobile host device can track locations of a plurality of accessory devices. Abstract: Media monitoring and measurement systems and methods are disclosed. Some embodiments of the present invention provide a media measurement system and method that utilizes audience data to enhance content identifications. Some embodiments analyze media player log data to enhance content identification. Other embodiments of the present invention analyze sample sequence data to enhance content identifications. Other embodiments analyze sequence data to enhance content identification and/or to establish channel identification. Yet other embodiments provide a system and method in which sample construction and selection parameters are adjusted based upon identification results. Yet other embodiments provide a method in which play-altering activity of an audience member is deduced from content offset values of identifications corresponding to captured samples.

Abstract: A method of estimating the interlacing mode used in a series of video frames presented as a sequence of fields is described. In one implementation, the method includes calculating a metric indicative of the difference between a current field of the sequence and a previous field of the sequence and determining from the metric so calculated the most likely type of the current field by reference to a Hidden Markov Model.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for binary classification of items. Methods and systems are provided for constructing a machine learning-based and pairwise ranking method-based classification model for binary classification of items as positive or negative with regard to a single class, based on training using a training set of examples including positive examples and unlabelled examples. The model includes only one hyperparameter and only one threshold parameter, which are selected to optimize the model with regard to constraining positive items to be classified as positive while minimizing a number of unlabelled items classified as positive.

Abstract: Particular embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems and methods for predicting the outcome of events based on internet activity associated with such events. For example, an internet activity metric associated with one or more events may be determined. The internet activity metric may be based at least on the popularity of particular search terms related to the events. The outcomes of the events may also be determined. The determined internet activity metrics and the outcomes of the one or more events may be analyzed to generate an algorithm for predicting the outcomes of subsequent events. For example, an internet activity metric associated with a particular subsequent event (e.g., based at least on the popularity of a particular search term related to the subsequent event) may be determined, and the algorithm may be applied to the internet activity metric to predict the outcome of the particular subsequent event.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems for interactively configuring the display of connectivity of a schematic diagram based on an integrated circuit (“IC”) design are provided. Using a set of criteria, the schematic diagram can be configured to reduce visual congestion caused by interconnections among circuit elements in the IC design. The criteria include interconnections having a specific number of fan-outs, interconnections connecting ports of specific types, interconnections connecting selected types of circuit elements, and interconnections connecting circuit elements with specific names. The amount of clutter caused by individual nets can also be reduced based on the total congestion score associated with each net. The total congestion score is calculated based on the number of bends that a net makes, the number of crossovers that a net makes, and the number of pixels required to draw the net.

Abstract: Methods and structures for implementing repairable input/output (IO) circuitry in an integrated circuit (IC) are disclosed. One embodiment of the present invention includes repairable IO circuitry along a right, left, or inner column of an IC. Another embodiment includes repairable IO circuitry along a top, bottom, or inner row of an IC. In one embodiment, normal and redundant mode routing is provided between IO buffer circuits and IO register circuits. In another embodiment, normal and redundant mode routing is also provided between IO register circuits and routing to core regions of the IC. One embodiment provides normal and redundant mode routing between two or more IO registers that may span more than one row and/or more than one IO block. One embodiment provides normal and redundant mode routing for different types of IO registers. In some embodiments, redundant mode IO connections shift along with redundant mode connections in a core logic region of the IC.

Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for performing floating-point division is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, fractional operands are pre-scaled and an estimate of a reciprocal of the pre-scaled fractional divisor is obtained from a lookup table using a portion of the bits of the pre-scaled fractional divisor. This value is used to scale the fractional operands and a multiply-add operation is used based on principles of series expansion to compute a final result with an acceptable degree of accuracy.

Abstract: The invention relates to data processing apparatus and methods for method oriented invocation (MOI) of data processing service modules. MOI Adapters and methods interface compound messages with service modules that process them, advantageously reducing memory and processing time utilization. Compound messages may be progressively parsed and processed, identifying the constituent information items needed by a service module and invoking the service module when all needed information items are available, without using resources to maintain and process superfluous message data. Multiple service modules may be addressed by a single MOI Adapter.

Abstract: A method of designing at IC is described. In one embodiment, the method includes providing an option to select a mask layer set from a plurality of mask layer sets, the plurality of mask layer sets including a first mask layer set and a second mask layer set, where the second mask layer set is an alternative mask layer option to the first mask layer set. In one embodiment, the method further includes receiving a selection from a user choosing a mask layer set from the plurality of mask layer sets. In one embodiment, the receiving occurs after design of the IC and prior to fabrication of the IC. Also, in one embodiment, the plurality of mask layer sets are predetermined mask layer sets. In one embodiment, the first mask layer set is a standard threshold voltage (SVT) mask layer set and the second mask layer set is a high threshold voltage (HVT) mask layer set. In one embodiment, core devices of the SVT mask layer set are SVT devices and some periphery devices of the SVT mask layer set are HVT devices.

An accessory device for interfacing with a host device includes a communication channel designed to establish a bidirectional data link between the accessory device and the host device. Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for interfacing with multiple gaming devices are disclosed. A universal controller includes a communication channel designed to selectively establish one or more bidirectional communication links between the controller and the gaming devices. A data collection unit communicatively coupled to the communication channel is designed to collect data related to a gaming experience of the first gaming device and a gaming experience of the second gaming device. The data collection unit is also designed to transfer to the second gaming device the gaming experience of the first gaming device to affect the gaming experience of the second gaming device. A storage unit communicatively coupled to the data collection unit is designed to store the collected data. Further, an input assembly that includes multiple input elements is included. Each input element is designed to be selectively mapped to one or more functions of the gaming devices.

The multiplexer array includes (1) a first multiplexer coupled to a first address line, where the first multiplexer includes a first plurality of memory devices and (2) a first plurality of input logic devices coupled to the first multiplexer, a first plurality of data lines, and a plurality of bitlines. Each input logic device of the first plurality of input logic devices is coupled to a respective memory device of the first plurality of memory devices and includes a first input terminal and a second input terminal, where, for each input logic device, the first input terminal is coupled to a respective data line of the first plurality of data lines and the second input terminal is coupled to a respective bitline of the plurality of bitlines. Abstract: A memory circuit including a voltage divider with a first phase change memory (PCM) device and a second PCM device coupled to the first PCM device is described. In one embodiment, the first PCM device is in a set resistance state and the second PCM device is in a reset resistance state. Also, in one embodiment, the voltage divider further includes a first switch coupled to the first PCM device and a second switch coupled to the first switch and the second PCM device. In one embodiment, the memory circuit further includes a half latch coupled to the voltage divider and a cascade transistor coupled to the half latch and the voltage divider.
