  • Patent number: 6132348
Abstract: A method of adjusting a blade (12) in its lowermost position while replacing a used one in a machine for cutting paper, cardboard, and similar stock. The blade is loosely attached to a blade holder that travels up and down. The blade can be loosened from the holder and raised and lowered therein. With the blade holder down, the blade can be adjusted by lowering it against at least one support (19 or 20) at the level of the stock being cut.The backing strip is removed from the stock-positioning board. The support is advanced out of a disengaged position and into an engaged, blade-adjustment, position. The blade holder, accommodating the blade loose in its raised position, is lowered into its lowermost position. The blade is lowered onto the support in its engaged position and secured tight to the blade holder in that position. The blade holder is raised. The support is returned into its disengaged position. The backing strip is replaced in the stock-positioning board.

  • Patent number: 6122862
Abstract: An overhead garage door arrangement in which a door leaf is moveable between open and closed position, and is installable against a ceiling for sliding up and down or that can be tilted or swung up and down for compensating against the weight of the door, at least one helical spring module is provided with a least two parallel-loaded helical tension springs that are arranged coaxially one within the other, and that are wound in opposite directions. The inner spring has an outside diameter which is smaller than the inside diameter of the outer spring. The oppositely wound coils of the coaxial springs cross each other. The two springs are pushed over a holding element which has a narrower first section for receiving the inner spring, and having a wider second section spaced from the first section for receiving the outer spring. The first and second sections of the holding element have edges with hook-shaped portions for grasping coils of the coaxial springs.

  • Patent number: 6119504
Abstract: A device for measuring wear in large roller bearings that have two bearing rings (1 & 2) with space accommodating the rollers (3) between them. The device has an indicator that indicates a prescribed deflection between the rings and a probe (9) that is accommodated in an opening (10) in the outer bearing ring (2) with the end (11) of the probe able to come into contact with one of the surfaces of the inner bearing ring (1). The object is a device that will provide accurate and reliable indications of bearing wear even after years of use, that will be simple in design, and that cannot be damaged or destroyed by outside forces. The inner bearing ring accordingly has a groove (12) facing the probe, and the end of the probe extends into the groove. The surfaces of the groove are as far from the end of the probe as the maximal permissible depth of the wear on the bearing.

  • Patent number: 6070856
Abstract: A jack with a leg (1) and a supporting arm (2) articulated together by an articulation (3). The leg rests against the ground (5) by way of a foot (4). The supporting arm is articulated by another articulation (18) at the other end of the supporting arm to a load-support plate (19). The plate supports the vehicle as it is lifted by way of an innermost section (20) located preferably between the sill ridge (21) and the midline, and below the bottom (22), of the vehicle. The plate has a bodywork catch (25) with a bent-up section (26). The bent-up section comes to rest against the outside (23) of the sill (24) when the jack is used and is raised by a spring (28). Adjusting arms (9& 10) are articulated to the leg, to the supporting arm, and to each other, constituting a parallelogram linkage.
