Abstract: An electrical connector for a multi-pin electric plug comprises a first member (1) having a leg (2) and a U-shaped recess (3) in which a second member (5) engages to grip an electrical conductor therebetween. The second member (5) is pivotally mounted on the first member (1), such that, upon attempted withdrawal of the conductor, the two members (1, 5) are urged together to grip the conductor more firmly therebetween. The connector is shown in the closed position. In order to connect an electrical conductor, the second member (5) is pivoted upwardly and the conductor is laid across the base of the recess (3) and out through a slot (4) in the first member. the second member is then pivoted back into the position shown to trap the conductor between the first and second members.
Abstract: A one or more player board game and tally pieces. The board has a flat triangular playing surface divided into a triangular grid of 6 on a side to provide a total of 21 intersections corresponding to the absolute number of combinations on the faces of a pair of cubic dice, each having 6 faces with numbers thereon of from 1 through 6 on the faces of each die. When a player rolls the dice, a marker is placed at the intersection of the horizontal line corresponding to the number on one die, usually the low number, according to the numbers along the left edge of the triangle and the upwardly sloping line to the left from the bottom edge of the triangle. There is only one position on the tally board to be tallied for each different value of the dice. A player is permitted to tally each throw of the dice until a repeat is thrown and then the tally is made and the dice are relinquished to the next player.
Abstract: A portable pill storage and dispensing device adapted to record the time one or more pills are dispensed on demand or emits a time alarm as a reminder which events are recorded for future interrogation and where a novel pill-retaining cavity closure is selectively activated to disperse one or more pills. The device consists of a keyboard assembly which also stores and dispenses the pills and an electronic assembly which records the data regarding key closures whenever a pill is dispensed.

Abstract: A load measurement bar is attached to an isolated section of railroad track rail at two locations along the neutral axis of the rail. The bar assembly contains displacement sensors to measure the bending slope of the rail relative to the bar to provide a signal output directly proportional to load.
Abstract: The construction according to the invention is applied to a utility vehicle such as an open vehicle having an open top such as a Jeep type vehicle or a large earth moving machine. To provide an enclosed operator's compartment it has been necessary to use steel or fabric door closures. The present invention makes use of space age plastics and uses the high impact characteristics along with the transparency of these materials to provide a strong yet safe door closing allowing the operator to have full vision from the door of the operator's station.
Abstract: An absorbant pad having an intermediate plastic bubble layer covered on either side with a continuous layer of absorbant material wherein the bubble layer serves as a reservoir for a liquid that is siphoned around the edges of the bubble layer for storage.
Abstract: This invention discloses a means of producing chromium oxide bonded coatings applied to metal or other suitable substrates in a layered, built-up manner and the products produced thereby.
Abstract: A choke is provided having a stationary tubular flow nozzle with throttling ports formed through its side wall. A movable tubular throttling ring may be moved over the nozzle to restrict or close the ports. The required liquid-tight seal or shut-off is obtained with annular seal surfaces formed on the nozzle and ring but remote from and upstream of the ports, so that erosion of these seal surfaces, by the high velocity streams passing through the ports, is minimized.
Abstract: A hydrated metal oxide and/or hydroxide is applied by rubbing on to the surface of a substrate adapted to retain an oxide coating thereon and an organic compound is applied to the oxide coated substrate which is adapted to combine with the oxide coating thereon to provide a combined coating of oxide and organic compound which is water and oil repellent and abrasion resistant.
