    Abstract: The present invention provides a new compound which shows slow and continuous blood pressure reducing action and is useful as an antihypertensive agent. The invention resides in a quinazoline derivative of the following formula (I) and its pharmaceutically acceptable salt: in which, each of R1 and R2 is H or an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or R1 and R2 are combined to form an ethylene group; each of R3 and R4 is an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R5 is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; each of R6 and R7 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and n is 2 or 3. The invention further resides in an antihypertensive agent containing the above compound.

    Abstract: A hydrodynamic bearing apparatus comprises two hydrodynamic bearing sections which have a shaft member, a bearing member fit to the shaft member with a predetermined space therein, lubricants filling the space between the shaft member and the bearing member, and which are separately placed in the axial direction of the shaft member. The lubricants of the two hydrodynamic bearing sections are separated from each other by an air layer. The lubricants are pressured by hydrodynamic generating grooves formed on the hydrodynamic bearing sections such that the shaft member and the bearing member are rotatably supported in relation to each other. The hydrodynamic generating grooves separately formed on the two hydrodynamic bearing sections are formed into an unbalanced shape such that the lubricants are moved in a predetermined direction to correct the slope of the shaft member and the bearing member when rotation is suspended.

    Abstract: The blood collecting syringe is constructed for coupling with an arterial blood sampling system. In one embodiment, upon retraction of a plunger, a collapsed hollow deformable stopper expands to draw any air bubble and fluid into a small discard chamber within the stopper. Continued retraction of the plunger causes the stopper to also retract thereby forming a specimen collecting chamber within the distal end of the barrel for receiving whole blood from the sampling system. In another embodiment, the plunger has a cap mounted within a hollow stopper so that upon movement of the cap from a forward position within the stopper to a retracted position within the stopper, a discard chamber is formed within the stopper while at the same time, any air bubble and fluid is drawn into the discard chamber. Subsequent movement of the plunger also causes retraction of the nozzle thereby opening up a blood specimen collecting chamber.

The balancing element defines a quasi-constant sound reflection and accordingly reduces individual reflection effects caused by the fundamental diversity of the external region of the human ear and improves the use of the entire device and increases the effectiveness of the noise compensation overall. In this way, headphones/hearing protectors can also be designed as acoustically closed systems which are designed so as to rest on the ear.
