Abstract: An electronic control device for the contactless control of a unit, e.g., a plumbing unit, especially a urinal, with at least one transmitter for sending directed light signals, and with a receiving device. The receiving device receives signals reflected from a scanned object and sends them to a circuit acting on the unit. The transmitter and the receiving device form an optical triangulation arrangement, wherein reflections are received from the background and from a predetermined detection zone to mask the said background.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a device for coupling the trigger mechanism in the bascule (10) of guns, which comprises a kinematic mechanism (26, 27, 31) which extends between the locking sliding safety catch (19) of the trigger guard to move the locking bolt of the trigger guard (19) into a backward position for releasing the trigger mechanism followed by a consecutive movement of the sliding safety catch (15) from an intermediate firing position (A) to a forward release position (B) and of the closing top lever (18) into a position for unlocking the barrels.

Abstract: The flushing device has an actuating device for optionally triggering a complete or partial flushing. A valve body of drain fittings is raised for this purpose. In the case of a partial flushing, the valve body is raised with a weight body, which loads the valve body with the valve body raised and brings same prematurely into the closed position against the lifting force of a float after a flushing process has been triggered. A coupling device has a switching member mounted on the weight body in its lower area. This switching member automatically connects the weight body to the valve body during the raising of the weight body with a pulling element connected to the weight body.

Abstract: An electrical plug connector, including an upper housing portion 1, a lower housing portion 2 and a plug chamber 4 for a RJ plug. In the upper housing portion 3 contact elements to be wired with connecting wires are disposed. The inner ends of the connecting wires are connected with contact strips 7 projecting into the plug chamber 4 for contacting the RJ plugs. The plug chamber 4 is adapted as a separate housing portion 3 and is latchable with the lower housing portion 2 by connection elements 16, 17, 18, in at least two different positions. The contact strips 7 are bent off each in different directions into the plug chamber 4, depending upon the position of the plug chamber 4.

Abstract: In a housing to be fastened to the bottom of a flushing tank, a float, which is arranged approximately centrally on a closing member mounted displaceably in the housing, is arranged under a partition extending horizontally in the flush tank. A sealing body is arranged at a lower end of the closing member. The partition forms a unit with a chamber arranged on its underside, and the unit is detachably inserted from the top into the housing, which is open at the top. The present invention simplifies the automatic mounting as well as the inspection of the drain valve and the more universal and therefore less expensive use of the valve housing.

Abstract: A power management system rod for local area network hubs includes a network switching hub with a connection backplane with a plurality of connection slots. A power supply is provided having one or more elements providing a maximum power available for the system. Manageable modules are connected to said switching hub, each of said manageable modules having a memory providing information as to the power requirements of the module. A controller module is connected to said manageable modules via said switching hub. The controller module includes memory means for receiving data from said manageable modules as to power requirements. A microprocessor is provided for calculating power requirements of the system and for controlling the supply of power to each of said modules.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a purification method for hydrophobic polypeptides by using high performance liquid chromatography, characterized by using a mixed solvent as a moving phase, in which the portion of trifluoroacetic acid is from 3 to 10% by volume, and polyvinyl alcohol-based column filler in the said high performance liquid chromatography. The method according to the present invention is useful as a purification method for hydrophobic polypeptides in view of the fact that the pulmonary surfactant, which is prepared from the hydrophobic polypeptide purified according to the method of the present invention, shows better surface active property than the hydrophobic polypeptides purified by customary methods for the purification.

Abstract: The frame has at least two hollow bars extending at right angles to one another and at least one connector, which connects the two hollow bars to one another at a distance from one another. The connector has a locking body as well as an expanding means in which the locking body engages an undercut groove of one bar with a head part and a front-side hollow space of the other hollow bar with a foot end. The locking body has a clamp-shaped design. The expanding means has an eccentric bolt, which expands the two legs at right angles to their longitudinal direction between the two hollow bars, thereby detachably connecting a head end and a foot end of the locking body to the associated hollow bar by clamping.

Abstract: Improvements in a machine for shaping hamburgers, which include a table-frame with a horizontally displaceable mold into which mold the ground meat enters directly and which has an element for detecting the pressure of the meat. The element, when it is drawn back, produces a signal for starting up the machine. A device is provided for expelling the freshly shaped hamburger, which device has structure for preventing the hamburger from sticking. This structure includes a chamber inside the expelling device, through whose periphery atmospheric air escapes, a knife provided on its base with a conduit with openings, through which air escapes in order to detach the edges of flexible sheets enveloping the hamburger, and upper and lower rolls for supplying flexible sheet, which rolls have inertia brakes including a pair of motorized rollers, above which rests the respective coil.

Abstract: A pivoting transfer means for a jet of bulk material between a first cover belt conveyor and a second cover belt conveyor. The bulk material leaves the cover belt conveyor in the area of the tail pulleys and enters the receiving mouth of a second cover belt conveyor as a free jet of bulk material. Both cover belt conveyors are arranged pivotably in relation to one another around a pivot axis. The receiving mouth of the cover belt conveyor is limited by the bottom belt, the cover belt and the side walls. The jet of bulk material is deflected from the vertical into the horizontal direction of delivery within the receiving mouth. The first belt conveyor may be arranged at a higher level with the second cover belt conveyor arranged thereunder. However, the second cover belt conveyor may also be arranged at a higher level with the first cover belt conveyor arranged thereunder wherein the transfer is still from the first cover belt conveyor to the second cover belt conveyor.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a device for cutting materials and including a straight blade 10, to which are connected two sharpening units 13, 14 with angulation complementary to that of the cutting edge of the blade. Each sharpening unit 13, 14 comprises a support 15 and defines a chamber 16 for a piston 17 and a pneumatic motor 18 contained in the piston, and has an outlet shaft 19 supporting a diamond disk grinding wheel 20 which is advanced towards the blade to be sharpened.

To easily clamp objects manually over the longest possible clamping line with the strongest possible clamping force, the present invention provides two mounting sites for two clamping levers. To accomplish this task, with the housing cover located at a spaced location from and in parallel to the filter housing, a distance a between the sealing surface and the corresponding part of the housing cover, on the one hand, and a distance (b) between the flange and an outer edge of the housing cover, on the other hand, are dimensioned such that distance (a) is smaller than distance (b), so that when the housing cover is being placed on the filter housing, it comes into contact first with the sealing surface and then with the flange, while the housing cover warps.

Abstract: An armored bridge-laying vehicle with a laying device for bridges or bridge sections located one on top of another, wherein a single laying girder is rotatably mounted on a support ring structure on the tower ring. The laying girder is pivotable around a horizontal pivot bearing, and the pivoting is performed by a piston-and-cylinder unit. Telescopic U-shaped girders are arranged inside the laying girder, and the top edges are located in the same plane as the upper chord edges of the laying girder. The bridge elements are laid by a flanged feeding unit, support rollers and a pivotable arm in the rear of the laying girder.
