Abstract: The elastic sliding bearing for chassis parts in motor vehicles has a rigid inner bushing, an outer bushing, and an elastomeric body surrounding them. The inner bushing and the outer bushing are provided at both ends with axial bearing surfaces on radially extending flange projections (8, 9), and a seal surrounding the flange projections (8) on the outer bushing (2) is provided. The seal acts against the axially outer flange surface of the outer bushing (2) with at least one sealing lip. A plastic layer (5) possessing good sliding properties, whose outer contact surface with the outer bushing has lubricant pockets (6) for receiving a grease filling, is provided on the outer jacket of the inner bushing (1).
Abstract: Two upper fabric cuts and at least one insert are assembled into a processing unit prior to bonding, and this unit is sent after bonding to a magazine following a bonding press used for bonding. This process and the device used to carry out same are particularly suitable for producing cuffs and collars.
Abstract: An electron-beam tube with an electron collector for an electron-beam entering the electron collector in an electron-beam direction. A plurality of large-area projections are provided for heat radiation including a funnel-shaped projection expanding in the electron-beam direction. The funnel-shaped projection includes a smaller opening which is one of directly and indirectly fastened to the collector and including an upstream projection including a surface which is first with respect to the electron-beam direction, the surface facing the arriving electron-beam and the surface being provided with low heat radiation properties. All other surfaces of the plurality of projections having high heat radiation properties higher than the low heat radiation properties. The collector and the plurality of projections being supported by a satellite as a travelling-wave tube with the electron collector radiating into space.
Abstract: A cooling element for shaft furnace walls including a metallic plate body with interior coolant-carrying tubes. The lower edge of the plate body includes a holding nose for refractory brickwork. The nose has at least one additional cooling tube. The cooling element according to the present invention may be assembled completely outside the furnace in a shop. The refractory brickwork consists of small bricks which are adhered or cemented to the plate body in concentric ring sections. The refractory bricks are advantageously provided with predetermined breaking notches and the layers of brick of the brickwork are provided with expansion joints. It is possible to use bricks with different thermal conductivities for the refractory brickwork.

Abstract: A d-c arc welding apparatus including an engine-driven welder converting the a-c power generated by an engine-driven alternator into d-c power for use as the drive power of the welder, a battery-driven welder using a battery as the drive power of the welder, and a changeover switch for selecting between a high-power mode in which the above-mentioned welding d-c outputs are connected in parallel and fed to the welding apparatus, and a low-power mode in which either of the above-mentioned welding d-c outputs is supplied independently to the welding apparatus.
Abstract: A diagnostic apparatus for producing low frequency sound waves applied to a structure to be examined to induce sound waves in the structure and a sensor which is positioned on the structure remote from the sound producing means to receive the sound waves after passage through the structure and to convert the sound waves into electrical impulses. The sensor is connected to an amplifier to boost the electrical signals and transmit the same to a computer data processor and receiver unit for storing the signals and converting the signals into a visual form.

Abstract: A proximity sensor using the magnetic field of a single length of sensor wire. The sensor has a supply circuit for generating a magnetic field around the single sensor wire. The sensor also has a detection circuit for detecting when electrically conductive material intercepts the magnetic lines of flux of the magnetic field surrounding the single sensor wire. In a preferred embodiment the sensor wire is substantially straight and/or the detection circuit detects metal within a distance from the sensor wire approximately two or three times the main dimension of the cross section of the sensor wire. A plurality of sensor wires can be used and a passive actuator or scale can be used to intercept and alter the magnetic field surrounding the sensor wire. The scale can be formed of electrical short circuits aligned at constant steps. The sensor then detects the presence or absence or a short circuit in the magnetic field.
Abstract: To produce relaxation of paravertebral muscles exhibiting contracture a relaxation device is used having several principal horizontal parallel strips (1) of adhesive tape that are joined together in pairs by several secondary or traction vertical parallel strips (2) of adhesive tape. The self-adhesive side of the principal and secondary strips (1,2) is protected by a removable sheet of siliconized paper (4). The vertical strips (2) are designed to be fixed to the patient's back in equal numbers on either side of the spinous processes and in line with the subjacent paravertebral muscles exhibiting contracture and said horizontal strips (1) being designed to ensure correct anchorage of the device to the patient's trunk.

Both bushings have, at least on one axially outer end, axial bearing surfaces at one radially directed flange projection (6, 7) each, wherein the flange projection associated with the outer bushing (2) is provided on an annular axial bearing on a sliding disk (7) and on a support ring (8) pressed onto the adjacent tubular end of the outer bushing (2). The sliding disk and the clamping ring are connected to one another by an elastomeric material in an adhering manner.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a process and a system for controlling the movements of an axis on program-controlled machines, especially industrial robots, comprising a position control unit and/or a velocity control unit and/or a power control unit. The loads acting on the axis from the outside during the operation are measured by one or several sensors. The load signal is fed back regeneratively in the sense of an increase in the position control variance and sent to the summation point of the position and/or velocity control unit. To increase or decrease the mechanical flexibility of the axis, a controllable amplifying or attenuating device is provided. The sensors may have different designs, corresponding to the loads to be measured. They are preferably directly associated with the axes.

The syringe rod (13) is equipped with an extractor (15) which, when the syringe plunger (12) is pushed to the end of the stroke, hooks (15b) the needle (11) and withdraws it by means of a preloaded spring (16) to the inside of the rod (13), into a protected and inaccessible position, thus making the syringe unserviceable already after its first use.

At once when the old core starts deceleration, the accumulation roll unit starts moving. The capstan roll is accelerated at a certain rate, when the new core is drawn out, up until the speed reaches "line speed plus overrun speed". When the accumulation roll unit reaches the synchronous position, the overrun becomes "0" and the capstan roll synchronizes with the line speed.

Abstract: A steam iron, particularly of the so called "drop-by-drop" type, where in order to cause an instantaneous steam production, the water which is contained in a reservoir (11) incorporated in the iron falls drop-by-drop into a vaporization chamber (2) provided in the inner side of the sole plate (1) of the iron in registry with the heating resistance of the sole plate (1), the so-generated steam being conveyed outwards through holes (7) in the sole plate (1). The length of the respective hem projection length and the width of an associated seamless fabric edge shall be able to be set depending on each other with minimum operator effort by the adjusting device both at the beginning and the end of the fabric. The adjusting device has a stop that is movable in the direction of feed for the front edge of the fabric for presetting the width of a seamless front fabric edge.
