Abstract: The invention is a composition and method for removing soils containing polymerized non-trans fats from surfaces. The composition comprises a polymer and sequentrant, wherein the polymer is oleophobic and hydrophilic. Optionally, the composition may also include a wetting agent. The composition may be used by applying it to a clean surface as a pretreatment so that when said surface is soiled or contaminated with polymerized non-trans fats it may be easily removed with water.

Abstract: The tub is mounted to a frame for alternative movement from a position wherein the tub is centrally located with respect to the longitudinal axis of the frame. The tub may be tilted from a position centrally located to a side dump position which is offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the frame. The apparatus for moving the tub from its centrally located position to its side dump position is a barrel pivotally mounted to the tub and an extension rod which is pivotally mounted to the frame.
Abstract: A wrist support sleeve is adapted to extend over a wearer's hand and wrist from a location below the ends of the fingers tip to a position just past the wrist region. The sleeve has an opening for receiving the wearer's thumb. A first portion of the sleeve extends around the lower part and opposite sides of a wearer's hand and wrist and has spaced side edges located in an upper region of the sleeve. An insert panel of a different material to the first sleeve portion is secured between spaced side edges of the first portion, so as to extend across the tipper portion of a wearer's hand and wrist when the device is worn. The insert panel material is a strong elastic material which has a higher stiffness than the rest of the sleeve.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting and straightening a framed wall includes a plurality of beams, a mounting plate, a bolt, and a pusher. The mounting plate is secured to the beam and the bolt is threadably secured to the mounting plate. The bolt is received by the pusher. When tightened, the bolt applies pressure to the pusher which in turn applies pressure to the framed wall. Alternatively, a plurality of mounting plates and pushers may be used to apply pressure to a cross beam and thereby efficiently apply pressure to a plurality of framed wall beams. By tightening the bolt, the user can apply pressure to the beam and straighten or retain the wall. As the wall shifts during periods of correction, the bolt may be re-tightened to apply additional pressure to the wall.
Abstract: A medical device comprising a sheath that fits around at least a portion of the circumference of a finger, optionally comprising a pouch for retaining an insert, for supporting and protecting the finger.
Abstract: The process for solubilizing proteinaceous material of the present invention includes subjecting the proteinaceous material to a sufficient amount of a basic solution to obtain a supernatant that has a basic pH and exposing the supernatant to the basic solution for a sufficient length of time and temperature for hydrolysis to occur. The process also includes cooling the mixture of the supernatant and proteinaceous material and optionally acidifying the mixture. This process may also include recovering the solubilized protein from the supernatant for use in various applications. Also provided herein is a composition of solubilized proteins from eggshell membrane obtained using processes of the present invention.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for a high intensity lighting fixture. In one aspect, instead of a spun aluminum bowl-shaped reflector, a die cast metal reflector frame, somewhat simulating a bowl shape, includes an inner surface with mounting structure. A high reflectance sheet or plurality of high reflectance inserts are placed onto the mounting structure to create a reflecting surface. This allows high customability of the reflecting surface and minimizes light loss.
Abstract: The invention relates to a receiver comprising electronic program guide means for browsing through an electronic program guide containing information on a plurality of program channels. The electronic program guide means comprise a server module and a number of client modules assigned to a number of remote devices, in order that upon request of any of the remote devices, the server module manages the navigation of the assigned client module within the electronic program guide information.
Abstract: The present invention relates to new synthetic receptors. More particularly, the present invention relates to the use of the synthetic receptors for delivering a protein, peptide, drug, prodrug, lipid, nucleic acid, carbohydrate or small molecule into a target cell via receptor-mediated endocytosis. According to the invention, novel synthetic mimics of cell surface receptors have been designed and methods for use of the same are disclosed.

Abstract: A fashion accessory for accessorizing an item includes a button operatively connected to a bow and an elastic cording operatively connected to the button and adapted for connecting the fashion accessory, the elastic cording having a first loop for pulling around the button for removably fastening the fashion accessory to the item. A method of fashion accessorizing an item includes providing a fashion accessory comprising a bow, a button operatively connected to the bow, and an elastic cording operatively connected to the button, the elastic cording having a first loop and a second loop and then pulling the first loop and the second loop of the elastic cording around a portion of the item and over the button to thereby secure the fashion accessory in place.

Abstract: A headphone carrying device comprises a thin, flexible strip of material which supports the wires for conventional ear bud style headphones. The strip can be quickly and easily inserted inside a cap or hat, between the body and headband of the hat or cap. The device is fully hidden from view when the hat or cap is worn and maintains the wires adjacent the back of the person's head, without the wires hanging or dangling loosely. Alternatively, the device can be attached to the back of a bike helmet or other headgear using adhesive, Velcro fasteners, or other connectors. The device is lightweight, fits all sizes of hats, caps and headgear, and does not interfere with the normal wearing of the hat, cap or headgear.
Abstract: A method and apparatus to increase efficiency of wide area lighting fixtures having a lamp mounting opening in a reflector or reflector frame, which results in gap(s) or spaces that do not control incident light to the intended target. The gap(s) or spaces(s) are covered with reflecting surfaces which do control incident light to increase efficiency of the fixture.
