  • Patent number: 4718283
Abstract: A one-piece unitary vortex meter body including an outer housing portion having a conduit formed therein with an inner diametrically extending generally wedge-shaped bluff body portion formed in one piece, the housing portion being formed as a relatively thin-walled tubular sleeve with first and second enlarged flange portions at opposite ends thereof, with a pair of first and second diametrically opposed and aligned integrally formed reinforcing ribs extending radially outwardly from the outer surface of the tubular sleeve and extending between the inner facing surfaces of the flange portions. On a perpendicular diameter, there is provided a thicker radially extending reinforcing rib and a relatively large diameter columnar protrusion extending radially beyond the periphery of the flange portions, the protrusion and bluff body having formed therein a receptacle for receiving therein a sensor assembly.

  • Patent number: 4711199
Abstract: A device and a plant for breeding fish, shellfish, etc. includes one or several tanks of a non-rigid material which are lowered into the water. Each tank has at least one inlet and at least one outlet for water. The inlet and the outlet are so arranged that the water level in the tank is somewhat above the surrounding level to maintain the walls of the tank in a tightened out position by the higher static pressure in the tank.

  • Patent number: 4689006
Abstract: A spark ignition system for a pilot flame uses a flame sensing rod to switch ac voltage from a spark generator to a main valve, thereby providing positive suppression of spark generation once the pilot flame is sensed. A main oscillator activated by a flame sensing signal is provided to operate a switch for this purpose. Should the pilot flame be extinguished, the switch automatically reverts to its first state, thereby closing the main valve and reactivating the spark generator. The entire system is operative only when ac voltage is present from a thermostat demanding heat. The pilot valve connected directly to the thermostat is open to emit gas whenever there is a demand for heat.
