Abstract: Three, spaced-apart, elongate limbs, each fixed at one end to a planar, rectilinear base, and two thereof mounting a shackle-receiving, mixer-mounting plate, at the opposite ends thereof, define the frame as an open support for a mixer. The mixer is fastened to an arm extending inwardly of the frame from one of the limbs, and to the mounting plate. A cone, centrally fixed on the base, assures fully wide dispersion of the fluid.
Abstract: Two identical mechanical seals (6, 7) and (8, 9) respectively and an intermediate spring device (17) are arranged in a holder which is easily replaceable. The spring (17) is common for the two seals and is connected to sockets (13) and (14) respectively which anchor the rotating seal rings (6) and (8) respectively. The oil containment area (20) of the machine is connected to the area containing the spring (17).
Abstract: A mixer (1) is provided with a cover (6) on its upside for diminishing the risk for air intake when the mixer operates near a liquid surface (10).
Abstract: A double block and vent valve comprises a housing having an inlet and an outlet for introducing and discharging fluid to and from the valve and is defined at its ends by a first portion and an opposite second portion. The valve includes a flow directing throat disposed within the housing and interposed between the inlet and the outlet for communicating fluid therethrough and has a means for venting leached or trapped fluid externally of it. The flow directing throat has a flow discharging end portion associated with the housing first portion and has an opposite flow receiving end portion associated with the housing second portion. The flow receiving end portion and the discharging end portion of the flow directing throat are sized diametrically differently relative to one another such that fluid flow passing through the flow directing throat from the inlet to the outlet does so without substantially impeding its flow path.
Abstract: The pressure side of a submersible pump unit is provided with a valve device which during certain periods of operation opens a connection between the submersible pump and the pump station to obtain the necessary circulation of the waste water in the station. The opening and closing of the valve device is effected by a ball which is controlled by the submersible pump pressure.
Abstract: A pump for Whirlpool and Spa applications has a series wound universal motor which is directly coupled to a centrifugal impeller for operation in the range of 4000 to 9000 RPM. Variable speed of the pump is easily accomplished with a universal motor by varying the voltage to the motor.

Abstract: A trapezoidal shaped peripheral seal is inserted in a trapezoidal cast peripheral groove in the valve body. A relief cut-out is disposed beneath the peripheral groove. The sealing function is effected by loading the peripheral seal with the gate so as to deflect the seal into the groove a relief cut out which places the seal in a shear mode.

Abstract: The subassembly is an integrated unit in which the operating internals of the ball valve are coupled to, and removable with, the ball valve cover. A flexible, U-shaped band, removably fastened to the cover, holds seat rings captive therein, and positions the rings at opposite, axial sides of the valve ball.

Abstract: A control for a hydromassage pump motor and pump controls the speed thereof at one of a plurality of predetermined speeds. The control includes a high voltage motor power control which is connected to the AC lines and to the motor to affect energization thereof and a low voltage user interface. The low voltage user interface is powered by a low cost, small, limited energy power supply which limits the current to the user interface and which provides electrical isolation from the AC lines.
Abstract: At the bottom of the tank there are provided supports (4), (5), while the under side of the mixer is provided with corresponding surfaces (6), (7) for receiving the supports. In order to prevent the reaction force from the propeller (2) from tilting the front end of the mixer upwards, at least one of the supports (5) is arranged at a level above the level of the propeller shaft.
Abstract: The driving shaft (3) of a pump impeller (4) is extended beyond the impeller and supports the mixer (5) at its end. In order to minimize the risk for extensive damage if the mixer should hit a solid body, the shaft (6) of the mixer is very slim and manufactured of an elastic material such as spring steel.
Abstract: A heat exchange device for pump stuffing box in which cooling liquid enters the inlet of the stuffing box, cools it and then enters seal chamber as a lubricant. Only one inlet and outlet port is necessary to provide flow for cooling and lubrication of the stuffing box and seal chamber.
Abstract: A level measuring system for measuring the level of a fluid in a tank employing tubes through which gas is passed extending to different levels in the fluid, whereby the level may be measured by comparing the differences in pressure necessary to release bubbles from the tubes. The ends of each of the tubes are bent at substantially a right angle, with the tips cut off at an angle so that the gas/liquid interface of the bubbles are at a more constant depth, and the bubbles are prevented from sagging.
Abstract: A probe which mounts in a liquid container has a conductance electrode containing a temperature sensor. A conductance control circuit is coupled to the probe to control an output relay in accordance with predetermined impedance conditions at the probe, and a temperature limit control circuit also controls the output relay in accordance with predetermined temperature conditions at the probe.
Abstract: A high pressure piston seal with low pressure seal capabilities. At high pressure the seal configuration increases the footprint loading for high pressure sealing. The seal arrangement also provides a labyrinth effect at low pressure combined with reduced loading.
Abstract: A two or three piece seal apparatus and method is described for providing a positive seal of threads in extreme temperature ranges up to 2000.degree. F. for at least 20 minutes. A stainless steel compression/retaining nut is utilized in combination with a high temperature alloy ring or diamond-shaped seal to effect sealing of the threads.
Abstract: A flow switch with a pressure sensing negative rate membrane. The membrane is designed for integral operation with a venturi element and an actuator. The membrane is a snap action device which, when a differential pressure is sensed, deflects from one position to another to operate the actuator.
