Abstract: Described are sequence numbers for client-server communication, to control a client's use of server resources. A server grants the client credits, and the client consumes a credit for sending each command to the server. Each credit corresponds to a sequence number, with the set of sequence numbers forming a valid command window. The server enforces that for each received command, the command includes a sequence number that is within the valid command window and that the sequence number has not been used with another command. The server may also maintain a maximum window size, such that clients with credits cannot send a command with a sequence number that beyond a maximum sequence number. When incorporated into a data communication protocol, quality of service, combating denial of service, detection of message loss, division of server resources, secure message signing, and other numerous benefits result.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for increasing bulk of a fiber product, in which process a fiber pulp, and further a fiber product, is formed. In accordance with the invention, in a first step a carbonate compound is added to the fiber pulp as a basic component, and in a second step acid is added as an acidic component, in order to form salt, to provide the formation of small-bubbled gas, and to increase the bulk, and the fiber pulp is dehydrated. The invention also relates to a corresponding fiber product and to the use thereof.
Abstract: A cable management frame assembly comprising a collapsible frame chassis and a plurality of positionally configurable cable management fixtures that can be affixed to the frame chassis without the use of tools or additional hardware such screws, nuts or bolts. A panel mount allows patch panels and equipment to be mounted to the frame chassis without the use of tools or additional hardware.
Abstract: A plasma treated gas permeable material is produced by applying an alternating voltage between spaced electrodes, at least one of which is covered with a dielectric barrier and at least one of which comprises a plurality of discrete electrode segments, to generate plasma microdischarges between the spaced electrodes. A gas permeable material is passed between or adjacent to the spaced electrodes. A gas is moved between the electrode segments into and through the space between the electrodes and through the gas permeable material. The gas flows over plasma generation surfaces of the respective electrode segments and is moved at a rate whereby the gas flow between the spaced electrodes is turbulent and so randomises the plasma microdischarges and disperses plasma products that would otherwise give rise to burning instabilities in the gas permeable material, whereby the randomized plasma microdischarges provide a generally uniform plasma treatment of the gas permeable material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a coating for a wood board. In accordance with the invention, the coating is formed of at least three layers, which are the first (1) layer formed of a film containing polyolefin and a coupling agent which is reactive with —OH groups of the wood for forming self-adhesive properties, second (2) layer selected from the group signaling layer and decorative layer and third (3) layer formed of a film containing polyolefin and the coupling agent which is re-active with —OH groups of the wood for forming self-adhesive properties, and the second layer is arranged between the first and third layers, and the layers are joined together by means of the coupling agent. Further, the invention relates to a wood board (4) which has been coated by said coating.
Abstract: An arm support for use with an elongated object such as a fishing rod is disclosed herein. Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed to aid in the detection of areas of interest in an image. Multiple image recognition processes analyze the image and identify areas of interest. The identified areas of interest are compared to determine confidence values for each identified area of interest using a voting process. The confidence values may be used in determining areas of increased interest which are highlighted on the image. In embodiments, identified areas of interest meeting a certain threshold requirement are selected as areas of increased interest. In other embodiments, new areas of increased interest are created by combining areas of interest. Embodiments of the disclosed methods and system may be used to aid in the detection of cancer in mammogram images.
Abstract: An optical fiber cable assembly comprising an optical fiber slidably enclosed within a hollow tubing, both the fiber and the tubing having corresponding first and second ends. The cable is terminated with the first and second ends of the tubing and the fiber constrained with respect to each other such that fiber and the tubing are approximately the same length when the cable is at a first temperature. The tubing is made of a material which contracts more than the optical fiber when the cable is exposed to temperatures below the first temperature, such that the fiber is longer than the tubing and excess fiber length is formed. An intermediate portion of the tubing permits the excess fiber length to accumulate without bending in a radius smaller than a minimum bend radius.
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of making bridged cyclopentadienyl-indenyl metallocene compounds. Generally, these methods can be conducted without the use of a fine purification process such as distillation, chromatography, and crystallization.

The adjuster has a combination of a first clutch (36) comprising a clutch surface on the driver element (22) directed in the brake application direction and a corresponding clutch surface on the adjuster nut (34) and a second clutch (38) comprising a clutch surface on the driver element (22) directed in the direction opposite to the brake application direction and a corresponding clutch surface on an adjuster nut sleeve (37). The adjuster nut sleeve (37) is axially movable on the adjuster nut (34).
Abstract: Non-harmonically related carriers may be provided for signals entering a harmonically related carrier (HRC) network. A modified carrier frequency may be assigned for any and/or all harmonics of a reference frequency. The modified carrier frequency may be computed by determining a nearest multiple of an index frequency value to the nominal harmonic frequency. The modified carrier frequency may then be used to carry video signals into the HRC network.
