  • Patent number: 7814677
Abstract: A dryer extension assembly connects with a hand-held dryer for dispensing heated air beyond an exhaust outlet of the dryer. The extension assembly is constructed from one or more interconnectable tube sections, an adapter section, and a stand section. Each tube section has a plurality of apertures defined through the outer wall and the inner wall for outletting heated air directed through the tube section. The number of interconnectable tube sections essentially enables the user to select an overall length of the extension assembly. The adapter section couples the dryer to a first or top tube section and the stand section receives the last or bottom tube section. The stand section enables the user to stand the extension assembly in a vertical position such that the hand-held dryer is held aloft by the extension assembly.

  • Patent number: 7814629
Abstract: A spring-compression apparatus for facilitating maintenance of a strut assembly comprises a guide member, a carriage assembly, and a spring-channeling assembly. The guide member comprises a first member end and a second member end. The carriage assembly comprises a jack assembly and a slide assembly. The jack assembly is operable to otherwise displace the slide assembly along the guide member. The slide assembly comprises a locator assembly, which comprises a locator extension arm and a pivotable strut end interface. A strut spring is receivable in the spring channeling assembly as laterally engaged therewith. The strut end interface is engageable with a strut end for compressing the strut spring. The locator assembly further enables a user to remove a mounting nut from the interface-engaged end when the strut spring is compressed, thus enabling strut assembly disassembly.

  • Patent number: 7814560
Abstract: An online publishing portal enables geographically-spaced common-brand users to publish locale-specific, content-controlled messages. The online publishing portal provides selective access to pre-constructed, digital, plate-ready macrotemplates. A dynamic document server stores the macrotemplates and authorizes selective access thereto based upon user-supplied credentials. The user, having authenticated credentials, may access a select macrotemplate, which necessarily comprises a plurality of digital, plate-ready microtemplates, including at least one restricted access template and at least one open access template. Authorized users may edit a select microtemplate as dictated by the user's level of authorization. The user may thus send the content-controlled digital, plate-ready file to a publisher for publishing information or messages compiled upon the macrotemplate. The portal thereby enables geographically-spaced common-brand users to publish locale-specific, content-controlled messages.

  • Patent number: 7812255
Abstract: A Chicago-style plenum-type electrical junction box provides an air impermeable barrier between a box support structure and a junction enclosure. The junction box includes a base plate and a peripheral wall, the peripheral wall extending from the base plate such that the base plate and peripheral wall define the junction enclosure. The base plate preferably includes a series of fastener knockouts so as to provide an air impermeable barrier. The fastener knockouts are selectively removable for exposing a series of fastener-receiving apertures. The fastener-receiving apertures receive a series of fasteners for sealing the fastener-receiving apertures when fastening the junction box to the box support structure thereby providing an air tight barrier between the box support structure and the junction enclosure.

  • Patent number: 7774863
Abstract: A combination bag-hat contains bag-hat-received matter and comprises a body assembly, a continuous hat-to-bag cinching cord, and a continuous open end-encircling cord. The body assembly comprises a cord-concealing, intermediate fabric layer, and a matter-containing, outer fabric layer. The outer fabric layer comprises opposing pairs of cord-letting apertures. The cinching cord is substantially disposed between the outer and intermediate fabric layers, and extends through the cord-letting apertures for forming opposing cord-linking loops. The outer and intermediate fabric layers conceal, fabric-guide, and frictionally engage the cinching cord during hat-to-bag cinching action. The encircling cord is disposed externally relative to the outer fabric layer and extends through the cord-linking loops. The encircling and cinching cords are tensionable for closing the open end and converting the bag-hat combination from a hat to a bag.

  • Patent number: 7771517
Abstract: A fluid filter is preferably constructed from a relatively thick batting of high loft, non-woven, fluid permeable fibrous material. The filter batting is then passed through a manufacturing device, which slices the batting in the vertical as to create two continuous filter batts from the parent filter batt. The slicing also creates a relatively deep V-shaped zig zag or waveform pattern in the anterior filter surfaces of the top and bottom of the batt. The top half deep V-shaped zigzag patterns peaks and valleys correspond or line up with the bottom half's valleys and peaks since the waveform landscape of the first child batt is essentially a negative impression of the second child batt. Accordingly, the patterns nest within one another. When separated, the two children batts each comprise a waveform landscape for dynamically directing fluid streams from the anterior filter surface to the posterior filter surface.

  • Patent number: 7691224
Abstract: A thermal polymer-bonding method includes initially placing into contact certain polymer-based first and second solid media at a first junction. A first superficial portion of the first solid medium is liquefying through the application of thermal energy to the first junction. The liquefied first superficial portion is superficially or topically applied to the second solid medium whereafter the topical application may be solidified via the action of cooling or withdrawal of thermal energy from the first junction. The solidification of the liquid elements, having maximized surface area contact between opposing media, bonds the first solid medium to the second solid medium. A third polymer-based solid medium may then be placed into contact with the first solid medium at a second junction, whereafter certain select second superficial portions of the first and third solid media may be liquefied, and re-solidified to bond the third solid medium to the first solid medium.
