Abstract: A device in connection with a hand-operated working machine with a water flow directed to the working tool comprises a first control which is a control (15) for a drive motor (3) for the tool, and a second control which is a control (17) for the water supply to the tool. A water control valve (45) in a water supply conduit (14) can be adjusted to adopt chosen opening positions, and is arranged constantly to be kept open in any chosen opening position when the motor is running the tool under influence of the drive motor control. The chosen opening positions are adjustable, i.e. the through opening of the valve can be increased or decreased by using water supply control (17).

Abstract: A thick-film thermal printhead includes an insulating substrate, an electrode pattern formed on the substrate and a linear heating resistor electrically connected to electrode pattern. The electrode pattern includes a common electrode and a plurality of individual electrodes. The common electrode includes a plurality of comb-teeth and a main conductor connected to the comb-teeth. The distance between the main conductor and the heating resistor is 0.25-0.75 times the width of the heating resistor.
Abstract: An image which represents a 3-D space virtually using a perspective method is displayed on a display, and an image of an information inputting person is picked up by a plurality of video cameras from different directions. While the information inputting person is pointing at an arbitrary position within a virtual 3-D space represented by the displayed image, a reference point which corresponds to the back of the information inputting person and a characteristic point which corresponds to a finger tip are respectively extracted from a plurality of images which are picked up by each of the video cameras, and the 3-D coordinates of these points are determined.
Abstract: The thermal printhead according to the present invention includes an elongated rectangular substrate including an attaching surface and a non-attaching surface, and a heat sink plate attached to the attaching surface of the substrate. The non-attaching surface of the substrate is provided with a common electrode, a plurality of individual electrodes and a heating resistor. The heating resistor is covered with an insulating protective layer and an opaque conductive protective layer. The thermal printhead includes a positioning indicia. In the method of making the thermal printhead according to the present invention, an image of the positioning indicia is taken by an image pick-up device and imaged on a display of a monitor. Two reference lines are set on the display of the monitor. Positioning of the substrate relative to the heat sink plate is performed by moving the substrate so that the reference line of the positioning indicia coincides with the reference line on the display of the monitor.
Abstract: A plurality of HTML files having their file names which may directly be recognized by a filtering part 415 in a data receiver are stored in a data storage part 411. File names of the HTML files are assigned to their headers by a data converter 412, and the files converted and multiplexed are repeatedly transmitted by a data multiplexing and transmitting part 413. A filtering part 415 selects the data having exact match with the filtering condition. A data processing part 419 performs data processing required for generating images, and the images thus generated are displayed on a screen of the display part 421. The data processing part 419 provides a switching command to a filtering conditions varying part 417 when an operator enters a file to be linked through an input part 420. The file to be linked is received as a result of changing the filtering conditions.

Abstract: A thick-film thermal printhead comprises: an oblong rectangular substrate (1) having at least one longitudinal edge (1a); a partial glaze layer provided on the substrate along the longitudinal edge; a linear heating resistor (11) formed on the partial glaze layer; a common electrode (12) formed on the substrate and electrically connected to the heating resistor; and a plurality of individual electrode (13) formed on the substrate and electrically connected to the heating resistor. The common electrode includes a plurality of comb-like teeth (12A). Each of the comb-like teeth includes a tip portion (12c) having a smaller width and a base portion (12d) having a larger width. Abstract: An antenna apparatus for providing wireless communication comprise a first antenna plate, a second antenna plate and a matched circuit. The matched circuit has a front line and a transferring line so as to be formed as an appropriate impedance between the first antenna plate and the second antenna plate, wherein one end of the transferring line is coupled to the front line forming a T shaped converging portion having a first feedback point and a second feedback point. The first antenna plate has an electrical foot connecting to the first feedback point and a ground foot connecting to the ground. Similarly, the second antenna plate has an electrical foot connecting to the second feedback point and a ground foot connecting to the ground.

The system includes different parts which can be assembled in a variety of ways to produce different configurations. Abstract: This invention relates to an antenna for a portable device. The portable device comprises a display, a host. In addition, a hinge is provided to connect the display and the host such that the display can be rotated relative to the host. Therefore, the portable device can be opened and closed accordingly. Furthermore, a receiver is installed within the hinge so that an antenna can be fixed in the hinge. Thereby, wireless transmitting of the portable device can be achieved through the antenna.
Abstract: An instrument and process for measuring moisture content of an article. A microstrip resonator receives a signal from a microwave sweep oscillator. A holder holds the article wherein the article under test is placed over a substrate of the resonator and covers the resonator and provides orientation to the article under test in a desired direction to the sample. A detector receives transmitted as well as reflected signals from a resonator sensor for measurement of Q factor and frequency shift of the resonator. The moisture content of the article is determined by the change in effective permittivity of a cross-section of the miscorstrip.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling an electrically operated parking brake-by-wire system is disclosed. More particularly to a method and system for control of electrically operated parking brake-by-wire systems that interfaces with various elements and systems of a motor vehicle; processes information obtained from vehicle systems, parking brake by wire systems, and the driver/user; and uses this information to safely control the operation of the parking brake-by-wire system, alerting the driver/user to potential problems associated with operation of the parking brake-by-wire system and related vehicle systems. The present invention also includes provisions to provide feedback to users and handle situations where the parking brake is actuated while the vehicle is in motion.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a compact LC panel. The LC panel includes transparent front and rear plates between which a liquid crystal layer is disposed. The rear plate has a projecting portion which avoids facing the front plate. The projecting portion carries a semiconductor chip for display control and two capacitors cooperating with the semiconductor chip. One of the capacitors, first capacitor, is located farther from the semiconductor chip than the other or second capacitor is. A first conductor is provided for connecting the first capacitor to the semiconductor chip, and a second conductor is provided for connecting the second capacitor to the same chip. The first and the second conductors are made substantially equal in electrical resistance.
