  • Patent number: 7159328
Abstract: Apparatus 10 discloses a handle 32 for manipulating the device and an extending rule portion 18 having a series of markings or measurements 26 embossed along its edge serving as a base of spacing measurement for a pivotally mounted swing arm 22 and a slide arm 24 perpendicularly attached thereto that may be adjusted to a desired distance. After a desired distance is set the swing arm 22 serves to maintain spacing and parallelism by having a bubble level 36 fabricated into each of its ends to test if the materials held flush are level. After correct measurements are made the apparatus 10 may then be used as a gauging tool for the quick and ready spacing and setting of materials afterwards.

  • Patent number: 7156435
Abstract: Apparatus 10 for a shovel designed for moving snow 14 tangentially while the shovel moves longitudinally along the ground thereby eliminating the need for lifting the shovel during snow removal. The snow shovel of the present invention 10 comprises a latitudinal curved blade 12 with opposing end terminus arcs 40, 42 of differing degrees whereby shoveled material will move from one side of the blade to the other. On the back side of the blade 12 are longitudinal and latitudinal ribs 24 forming an integral part therewith providing reinforcement terminating in a centrally disposed receptacle for a handle mounting plate 30. The handle mounting plate 30 has mating apertures 34 for fixedly fastening the mounting plate to the curved blade 12. Positioned at the apex of the handle plate 30 is a post 46 for press fitting the handle plate to the shaft. • Patent number: 7152927
Abstract: A recliner that is independently adjustable relative to the recliner. The headrest in the non-operative position is in planar alignment with the back of the recliner and can be incrementally moved toward the anterior end of the recliner, so that when a user moves the recliner toward a horizontal position the headrest can be used to support the head in a forward position, such as would be desirable watching television. The headrest includes a pivotal headrest having at least one pawl engaging a toothed member so that the headrest can be incrementally moved according to the spacing of the toothed member. When it is desirous to return the headrest to its starting position the headrest is moved forward until the pawl disengages and is locked in a non-engaging position so that the headrest can be returned to its starting position whereupon the pawl will engage a tab moving the pawl into engagement with the toothed member.

  • Patent number: 7147335
Abstract: An apparatus 10 provides an angled mirror 24 on a rear portion of the motor vehicle 12 that will be viewable in the side view mirror 12 to permit the driver 18 to see perpendicularly approaching traffic while backing out. The apparatus 10 is to be mounted on both sides of the vehicle 12 and may be manufactured in new vehicles or retrofit to existing ones. When manufactured in new vehicles 12, the apparatus 10 may be selectively adjusted by the driver using controls and technology similar to that currently in use for adjusting side view mirrors such as cables or RF signals. Furthermore, the mirror may be retractable to sit flush with the body of the vehicle 12 to maintain the aerodynamic properties thereof. Many other features may be integrated with the apparatus 10 such as a heating element for defrosting/defogging the mirror, a protective door that covers the mirror when in the retracted position and so forth.
