  • Patent number: 7487593
Abstract: According to the present invention, a tray for a shaving implement having a powered device includes a base, at least one engagement structure, and at least one protrusion. The base has a length and a width that are at least approximately as long as a length and a width of the shaving implement, respectively. The base also has a height. The engagement structure(s) are operable to releaseably secure the shaving implement to the tray. The protrusion(s) extend heightwise from the base and are positioned substantially adjacent to a switch on the shaving implement that controls the powered device. The protrusion(s) extend to a height that is at least as high as the switch when the shaving implement is releasably secured in the engagement structure(s) and guard the switch from contact with outside forces that can unintentionally power on the battery-powered device.

  • Patent number: 7485084
Abstract: The invention refers to a centrifugal separator and a method of separating a product to a heavy phase and light phase. A centrifuge rotor encloses a closed separation space, which has a radially outer part for the heavy phase, a radially inner part for the light phase and a central gas-filled space. The radially outer part is separated from the radially inner part by a interface layer level. An inlet extends into the separation space for feeding the product. A first outlet extend from the radially outer part for discharge of the heavy phase. A second outlet extends from the radially inner part for discharge of the light phase. A control equipment permits control of the interface layer level to a desired radial position. A sensor senses a parameter related to the gas pressure in the central space. The control equipment controls the counter pressure in the first outlet in response to the sensed parameter for controlling the interface layer level to the desired radial position.

  • Patent number: 7477574
Abstract: A decorative body driving mechanism having a decorative body therein and at least one openable and closable door arranged in front of the decorative body, the mechanism includes a door open and close mechanism and a decorative body operating mechanism. The door open and close mechanism includes a first gear rotatable in both directions with a motor, and a second gear being engaged with the first gear only within a given range to rotate intermittently and open and close the door. The decorative body operating mechanism transmits a driving force of the motor to the decorative body to make the decorative body move. It is possible to open and close the door and operate the decorative body with the single motor, and the door can be opened and closed intermittently by the door open and close mechanism. The decorative body can be worked without transmitting the driving force to the door.

  • Patent number: 7476557
Abstract: A method of making a light active sheet. A bottom substrate having an electrically conductive surface is provided. A hotmelt adhesive sheet is provided. Light active semiconductor elements, such as LED die, are embedded in the hotmelt adhesive sheet. The LED die each have a top electrode and a bottom electrode. A top substrate is provided having a conductive layer. The hotmelt adhesive sheet with the embedded LED die is inserted between the electrically conductive surface and the conductive layer to form a lamination. The lamination is run through a heated pressure roller system to melt the hotmelt adhesive sheet and electrically insulate and bind the top substrate to the bottom substrate. As the hotmelt sheet is softened, the LED die breakthrough so that the top electrode comes into electrical contact with the conductive layer of the top substrate and the bottom electrode comes into electrical contact with the electrically conductive surface of the bottom substrate.

  • Patent number: 7475483
Abstract: A shaving implement is provided that includes a replacement cartridge mounted to a handle. The replacement cartridge includes a shaving aid body and a razor cartridge. The shaving aid body can be erodible and the handle is provided with a self-leveling mechanism to relatively maintain a generally coplanar relation between the top surface of the shaving aid body and the shave plane of the razor cartridge during a normal shaving operation as the shaving aid body erodes during use. The shaving implement is provided with limited pivotal motion of the replacement cartridge relative to the handle about three generally mutually perpendicular axes and combinations of the three axes. Biasing force is provided to urge the replacement cartridge to a neutral position relative to the three axes.

  • Patent number: 7476266
Abstract: In an apparatus for cleaning of gases a centrifugal rotor is supported by two bearings, in which it is rotatable about a rotational axis. The two bearings are lubricated by means of an oil mist, which is generated in a space, when oil is sprayed against a turbine wheel supported by the rotor. Whereas the bearing, which is situated nearest said space, is lubricated by oil mist present in the space, the second bearing is lubricated by oil mist being conducted to it through a central channel in the centrifugal rotor.

  • Patent number: 7473329
Abstract: A method of producing a cladding tube for nuclear fuel for a nuclear pressure water reactor includes forming a tube which at least principally consists of a cylindrical tube component of a zirconium-based alloy, where the alloying element, except for zirconium, which has the highest content in the alloy is niobium, wherein the niobium content in weight percent is between about 0.5 and about 2.4 and wherein no alloying element, except for zirconium and niobum, in the alloy, has a content which exceeds about 0.2 weight percent. The cladding tube is then annealed such that the tube component is partly but not completely recrystallized. The degree of recrystallization in the tube component is higher than about 40% and lower than about 95%. A fuel assembly for a nuclear pressure water reactor also has a plurality of such cladding tubes.

  • Patent number: 7465341
Abstract: In an apparatus for cleaning of a gas a centrifugal rotor is rotatable in a separation chamber about a vertical rotational axis (R). The centrifugal rotor is rotatable by means of a turbine wheel arranged in a drive chamber situated below the separation chamber. The centrifugal rotor and the turbine wheel are connected with each other by means of a shaft. The separation chamber and the drive chamber are separated from each other by two partitions, through which the shaft extends and which between themselves form a drainage chamber. A nozzle is arranged to spray a liquid against the turbine wheel in the drive chamber for rotation thereof and of the centrifugal rotor. The drainage chamber has an outlet for draining of liquid having entered the drainage chamber from the drive chamber, so that liquid shall not be able to flow from the drive chamber to the separation chamber.

  • Patent number: 7461458
Abstract: A wet shaving razor has a handle, a razor cartridge pivotally mounted to the handle and a protective cover. The handle may be a unitary molding or an assembly including a pivot frame. The handle has a biasing member and a creep control arm that controls creep in the biasing member. The creep control arm interacts with the protective cover to provide a first at-rest position for the cartridge. The biasing member interacts with the cartridge to provide a second at-rest position when the protective cover is removed from the razor. The first at-rest position may be generally identical to the second at-rest position or may be different.

  • Patent number: 7462969
Abstract: An electromagnetic actuator with a smaller size and an increased strength is provided. In the electromagnetic actuator, a first arm portion and a second arm portion that connect the magnetic poles of a stator extend to the outside of a rotor housing. A first coil and a second coil are wound around the extending portions. In other words, the first coil and the second coil are exposed to the outside of the rotor housing. Accordingly, compared with a case where the rotor housing also houses the first coil and the second coil, the width of the electromagnetic actuator can be reduced by the thickness of the rotor housing. Thus, the electromagnetic actuator can be made compact.

  • Patent number: 7446279
Abstract: A self-contained, or externally actuated, hydraulic log splitter which includes a frame on which is slidably mounted an assembly of a specially designed push plate secured at one end to a reversible hydraulic cylinder and at the other to a splitting table carrying logs which is pushed against a straight blade to split the logs. A plurality of lines of discrete nubs are integrally a part of the push plate along a majority of its entire height and positioned substantially parallel to the straight blade and spaced away from the edge of the push plate. These nubs to provide specialized and improved gripping of log segments as they are split thereby minimizing the tendency of the split log segments to fly away from the splitter. An electric or gas engine driving an hydraulic pump or the hydraulic system of a tractor is connected to drive the reversible hydraulic cylinder.
