Abstract: The present invention provides atomic layer deposition systems and methods that include metal compounds with at least one ?-diketiminate ligand. Such systems and methods can be useful for depositing metal-containing layers on substrates.
Abstract: The present invention provides a medical device, and methods of preparing and using a medical device. The medical device has a surface including a biologically active agent therein. The methods are particularly useful for preparing, for example, coated stents having a biologically active agent within the coating.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for producing functionalized olefins from a fuel source including an organic compound including a functional group. Useful fuel sources include, for example, biofeedstocks (e.g., carbohydrates, triglycerides, polyols, and biodiesel). The process is preferably carried out by partial oxidation. The overall process can be carried out autothermally.

Abstract: A method of forming (and an apparatus for forming) a metal-doped aluminum oxide layer on a substrate, particularly a semiconductor substrate or substrate assembly, using a vapor deposition process.
Abstract: Connectors, connection systems, and methods for coupling a catheter or catheter assembly to a stem of a medical device. Exemplary connectors may include a seal attached at or near a proximal end of the catheter, and a tubular housing that includes a locking member operable to connect the catheter to the medical device, preferably without the use of tools. Exemplary methods may include: inserting the stem of the device into the housing, wherein the housing is configured to press the seal against the stem, compressing the seal, and moving the locking member into a locked position.
Abstract: A method of forming (and apparatus for forming) a metal oxide layer, preferably a dielectric layer, on a substrate, particularly a semiconductor substrate or substrate assembly, using a vapor deposition process and ozone with one or more metal organo-amine precursor compounds.
Abstract: A method of forming (and an apparatus for forming) a metal oxide layer on a substrate, particularly a semiconductor substrate or substrate assembly, using a vapor deposition process and one or more precursor compounds that include aminosilane ligands.
Abstract: Low molecular weight protein tyrosine phosphatase (LMW-PTP) is identified as a novel diagnostic and therapeutic target in cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. The invention provides diagnostic and treatment methods useful in connection with cancers expressing LMW-PTP and, optionally, EphA2 receptor. Also provided is a screening method that utilizes changes in the amount and/or activity of LMW-PTP to identify candidate cancer therapeutic agents that effectively target the oncoprotein EphA2.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the identification and use of agents, particularly peptides and monoclonal antibodies that disrupt the interaction between Collagen XIII and ?1?1 integrin.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing Fusarium resistant tetraploid wheat by crossing a hexaploid Fusarium resistant wheat with a teraploid durum wheat.
Abstract: A method of forming (and an apparatus for forming) a metal oxide layer on a substrate, particularly a semiconductor substrate or substrate assembly, using a vapor deposition process and one or more precursor compounds that include diketonate ligands and/or ketoimine ligands.
Abstract: Amino acid sequences of feline thyrotropin and polynucleotide sequences encoding feline thyrotropin are provided, as well as methods of making and using said sequences.

Abstract: A walk-behind trenching vehicle incorporating a trenching boom with an endless trenching chain. The trenching boom may be connected to a forward end of the vehicle via a pivot joint that is offset from a drive axis of the trenching chain. The boom may be movable between an operating position and a transport position via a single actuator, e.g., hydraulic cylinder.
Abstract: A portable communication system provides a universal transmitter that couples to a communication device having an audio port, e.g., a cellular phone audio port, and which transforms the sound output into signals, e.g., infrared pulses, for transmission to a wireless receiver, e.g., a behind the ear or in the ear receiver.
