Abstract: A method for preparing a plugging material of an alumina-base cement, by mechanical stirring of alumina cement with additives of the pre-rated quantities to improve the physical and mechanical characteristics of the plugging material. The stirring is effected by magnetized working bodies in an alternating electromagnetic field. The resultant material is subjected to a batch forming by compression at a pressure between 50 and 120 MN/m.sup.2.

Abstract: A frame is provided journalling a rotary shaft having a lever system for rectilinearly driving at least one set of pins into and out of the ground. The lever system has a pair of substantially parallel spaced rods connected pivotally at one end to the set of pins and at the other end pivotally to the frame and offset from each other. The lower rod is extendible in length when the pins are placed under load and automatically resumes its normal length when the load is removed.

Abstract: In accordance with the proposed method the combustible mixture fed to the engine is formed from a petrol-air flow and a hydrogen-air flow. Depending on the load on the engine shaft the composition of the combustible mixture is controlled by varying the amount and composition of said mixtures in said flows so that at full load the resulting combustible mixture contains (by weight) from 5.8 to 6.0% of petrol, from 0.14 to 0.17% of hydrogen, and from 93.7 to 94.0% of air, and a load constituting 0.1 of the full load, said mixture contains from 1.2 to 1.5% of petrol, from 0.42 to 0.45% of hydrogen, and from 98.1 to 98.4% of air. There are also given the quantities of the components in said combustible mixture for other load conditions.

Abstract: A parallelogram arm assembly having a vertical arm for suspending a load at lower end thereof and a pair of horizontal arms one of which is guided in a horizontal path is provided. The other horizontal arm is guided in a vertical path. The paths are defined in a supporting structure which is mounted rotatably on a standard or the like. Apparatus, such as a piston/cylinder actuator is provided for maintaining in cooperation with the parallelogram a floating balanced state of the arm assembly independently of the loaded or no-load state.

Abstract: A method for measuring and supervising an insulation resistance and stray capacitance against ground of a power supply line while the line is active condition. A frequency different from the main supply voltage is applied to the line and this voltage is detected by a coupling transformer and the insulation resistance and the stray capacitance can be obtained by operation work of the measured value.

Abstract: An apparatus for safeguarding a welding pool in mechanized welding in a constrained position, for example a vertical position, comprises sliding blocks pressed against the surfaces of the work pieces to be welded and supplying the welding current and the welding electrode and moving at the welding rate. The sliding blocks comprise two segments which are closely adjacent in the perpendicular center plane of the welding gap between the work pieces and are mutually movable. The sliding block segments are pressed in a yielding manner against the surface of each work piece and are individually and independently movable.

Abstract: A locking device for an automatic opening umbrella having the function of an anti-missrelease and automatic locking device wherein a push button and a button seat are formed in conjunction with a spring element, whereby, by just pushing forward and depressing said button to unlock the locking device and thus continuously complete the action of automatically opening the umbrella. The push botton will automatically return to its original position in a locking up condition after the force against the button is released.

Abstract: A rapidly opening sealed package for wound dressing adhesive tape comprising an adhesive support carrying a wound dressing pad covered endwise by a pair of protective films attached to a pair of outer sheaths so that by pulling the outer sheaths apart the protective films will move therewith to separate centrally and uncover the wound dressing pad. An adhesive layer is applied adjacent said wound dressing pad between said protective films and said outer sheaths. In this manner a material of poor adhesive power such as siliconated paper may be used for the protective films.

Abstract: A non-contact noise detection apparatus is provided with a detector not connected to the source of the noise for detecting the high frequency field generated by the source. A high pass filter and amplifier passes the high frequency pulse components only of the output of the detector. A pulse generator is responsive to the output of the high pass filter to provide a pulse signal of predetermined width, and an indicator is responsive to the pulse generator.

Abstract: A horse training pressure plate comprising a flat backing plate with a pad of sponge-like material affixed to one side of the backing plate, is provided. A plurality of pins of slightly lesser length than the thickness of the pad, project from the backing plate within the pad and mounting brackets on the side of the backing plate opposite the pad for maintaining of a pressure plate on the head poles.

Abstract: The decorative safety candle has the exterior appearance of a traditional moulded wax candle, but is fueled by a replaceable butane pressure cartridge. The butane cartridge is contained within an interior cylindrical metal casing, which is open at its bottom, the casing having a pair of slots at its bottom edge, adapted to removably retain a safety switch, having a downwardly extending pivotal finger, which urges the butane cylinder upwardly, when the candle is placed on a flat surface, to activate the nozzle valve of a commercially available butane cylinder. The safety switch includes a set screw whereby the gas flow may be selectively adjusted. The pivotal finger is pivoted to its upward position when the candle is not in use. When the candle is in use, in the event it is accidentally knocked over or picked up, will result in the immediate cessation of gas flow, and extinguishing of the candle flame.

Abstract: The primary winding of a welding transformer is provided with controlled rectifiers and the primary winding of a current transformer. The secondary winding of the current transformer is connected to a welding current pick-up. The phase angle of opening of the controlled rectifiers is varied through a phase shifter and a programmer. A pulse shaper is provided for shaping pulses synchronized with the voltage of a supply circuit and has an output connected to a phase delay unit. An OR circuit is provided having inputs connected to the output of the welding current pick-up and to one output of the programmer, and an output connected together with the output of the phase delay unit through AND logical circuits and an inverter to the inputs of a voltage switching flip-flop having outputs each being connected in pair with another output of the programmer through additional AND circuits to corresponding inputs of the phase shifter.

Abstract: A marshmallow frozen confection in which the marshmallow encloses a core material, such as ice cream or sherbert and which retains its solidity at the temperature below about -15.degree. C. A water content of the marshmallow is in the range of about 20 to 35%.

Abstract: A boiler for heating a heat-transfer medium, such as water in a domestic heating system with water-carried heat. The boiler comprises a tank (2) for the radiator water; a combustion chamber (3); combustion-gas pipes (4) which extend down through the tank and which discharge at the bottom thereof in a collecting chamber (5) for combustion gases. At the upper part of the tank (2) there is arranged an outlet (7) to the radiators, while a tank-inlet (8) from the radiators is arranged at the lower part of the tank. Also arranged in the tank (2) is a reservoir (17,20) for heating tap water, whereat the reservoir-inlet (10) for tap water is connected to a fresh cold-water pipe and is located at a level which lies beneath that of the tank inlet (8) from the radiators.

Abstract: A fireplace extension is provided, which extends forwardly from a traditonal fireplace, having two sets of doors, a first set of doors within the extension, and a second set of doors which close the extension. Fresh air duct means open into the fireplace extension between the first and second set of doors, and damper means are provided in the first set of doors, whereby, a surprising increase in efficiency in the fireplace itself is achieved, not only from the point of view of heat generated, but from the duration of time during which such fireplace is effective in generating heat.

Abstract: The machine comprises a table for guiding paper to be printed which table is bordered by two vertical side walls supporting a rotary drum. A part of the outer surface of the drum includes ribs for hooking elastic printing forms carrying portions in relief. The table also includes a transverse slot for receiving a colored litho chalk against which chalk the reliefs press the paper so that the pattern of these reliefs are printed thereon and the paper is driven along.

Abstract: A twin-hull watercraft in which the two hulls are disposed parallel to and spaced apart from each other and rigidly connected by means of tubular struts. The hulls and struts take the form of tight pressure vessels which are provided with cells that can be flooded and blown. A pilot's cab designed as a third pressure vessel is arranged on a vertical superstructure above the hulls, approximately in the longitudinal center plane.

Abstract: An arm support member for chairs or seats provided with an arm rest frame connected to said arm support member by a hinge mechanism. The arm rest frame is swung under the effect of a first spring into a vertical position, by a rotation about a horizontal axis parallel to and spaced apart from the longitudinal center plane (A-A) of the arm support member. The hinge mechanism also enables the arm rest frame to perform a sliding movement parallely to the hinge axis against the effect of a second spring only when the frame is in its raised position. Locking means is provided to hold the arm rest in both positions.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an equipment for making color enlaments in additive method, where the device can be fitted onto the traditional enlargers. By using the solution according to the invention the arrangement of the additive color filters under the lens of the enlarger can be solved in a stable but not containing manner, simultaneously ensuring easy and alternating actuating and integration of the colors of the negative. By means of the comparative process, by using the color-analyzer mask and the properly dark colored reference standards belong to the equipment, the color and density balance of the prints to be enlarged can be adjusted by the way of one single trial development, independent of the individual subjective color perceptional ability.
