  • Patent number: 4676244
Abstract: A plunger having an oblong body with a front end and a rear end and a lancet having a pointed end section projecting axially from said body at the front end is insertable in a cylinder having an oblong hollow body with a front end, a rear end and an axial hole. The plunger of such a length and the lancet is so arranged that the pointed end section of the lancet protrudes a predetermined distance out of the cylinder at the front end when the plunger is inserted thereby defining an operative puncturing position of the medical lancet. The plunger and cylinder have a first engaging stop arranged after partial insertion of the plunger, to temporarily prevent continued insertion at a predetermined initial position. The arresting function of the stop is overcome by applying pressure on the plunger thereby pushing it the remaining distance into the cylinder from the initial position to the operative position.

  • Patent number: 4674077
Abstract: Disc playback apparatus is provided with a rotatable carousel carrying a plurality of discs. The carousel is stopped so that a disc to be selected arrives at a predetermined position where it is removed and transferred to the playback apparatus and vice-versa. The carousel has a disc-shaped base and a plurality of disc clampers located on the base in a radial direction. Each of the clampers are formed of a disc support and a clamper member supported by a bearing provided on said disc support and have a convex portion adapted to engage with the bore of said disc. A spring member biases the convex portion of the clamper member so that the disc is held against the disc support and is selectively disengageable against the bias of said spring member so that it may be released from said carousel for transfer to said disc playback apparatus by said transfer means.

  • Patent number: 4662804
Abstract: An automatic chamfering machine for chamfering the edge of teeth of internal gears or edge of slots of ring-like clutches is disclosed. Once the machine is set on the work (i.e., an internal gear or a ring-like clutch), it can be intermittently moved along the work at an interval corresponding to one tooth or slot to effect chamfering. The automatic chamfering machine according to the invention has at least one drive roller, which is held attracted to the work through excitation of a solenoid so that the machine will not fall from the work. The chamfering machine is moved along the work to an extent corresponding to one tooth, for instance, with the rotation of the drive roller attracted to the work to be automatically stopped at the next chamfering position. Then, a cutter is moved along the tooth surface while being rotated to effect chamfering.

  • Patent number: 4647268
Abstract: A parts handling device is provided having a movable carrier on which is disposed a plurality of coil wound magnet poles. At least one of the poles is wound and with an A.C. source so that its current or voltage is subject to changes in response to induced magnetic flux caused by its proximity to a ferro-magnetic material. The changes in current or voltage so induced is sensed by a low impedance device or a resonant circuit device and an electric signal is produced which is employed to convert said poles to D.C. excitement control the operation of the parts handling device.
