Abstract: A reinforced connector assembly for a tubular grab railing has an upper tubing support that is aligned with the grab railing during use and a lower base portion bolted directly to the tubing support fastened to a wall or floor. The tubing support has an opening that divides it into upper and lower halves with a reinforcing plate hidden between them to form a three layer sandwich structure with at least one boss confined during use within the tubing. The connector assembly is a composite formed from an outer plastic resinous connector element and the hidden reinforcing plate which can be formed from steel. The reinforcing plate which provides reinforcement for the plastic components can include exposed ears on each side that frictionally engage and distend the tubing to prevent it from rotating during use. An adjustable connector assembly has two pivotally related portions to permit angular adjustment on site. A corner elbow, an end connector and an end extension are provided.
Abstract: A thin sheath of flexible, flaccid material is introduced through openings in the body of an animal or human patient to permit surgical tools or fluids to be inserted and removed, or debris removed, during surgeries anywhere in the body to protect the tissue of the body from the instruments used. The sheath is inserted by an obturator which holds the sheath thereon by suction through an aperture in the obturator at its distal end. Once the sheath is inserted, suction is removed to release the sheath. Then a balloon on the distal end of the sheath is expanded to hold the sheath in place in the body while the obturator is removed. The sheath then remains in place with the balloon holding the distal end in the open position to enable fluids to flow through the sheath. After a procedure, the balloon is deflated and the sheath removed.

Abstract: A pest control device uses a replaceable glueboard to immobilize pests attracted to the pest control device. A unique guide is provided to help prevent the adhesive surface of the glueboards from coming into contact with other surfaces of the pest control device during installation and removal of such glueboards.
Abstract: To prevent intimal hyperplasia within a dialysis graft, a flexible tube comprising the dialysis graft is coated interiorly with an anticarcinogen or mitosis-inhibiting agent for preventing cell division. The graft can also be irradiated by directing light into the lumen of the tube that has been grafted to the patient's blood vessel. The light source can be a light emitting diode (LED) or a chemical light source, i.e., a chemiluminescent substance for producing cool light energy at the site of the graft in sufficient amount to prevent undesired cell proliferation within the vessels, within the graft, or surrounding tissue where the invention is used without detectable damage to body tissue. Visible light can be used, e.g., visible blue or red light or the combination can be produced by an incandescent lamp or other suitable lamp, an LED, a laser or chemical light source with wavelengths predominantly between about 300 nm to about 800 nm.
Abstract: A burst mode resonant power converter with high conversion efficiency has a rectifier, a power factor correction circuit, a resonant circuit, a controller, and a burst mode triggering unit. The maximum frequency switching end of the controller is connected to a maximum frequency variable circuit. When the load is medium or heavy, the maximum frequency variable circuit increases the maximum switch frequency of the controller. When the load is in the no-load or the light conditions, it reduces the maximum switch frequency thereof. Therefore, the controller reduces the number of times that the resonant circuit switches the bridge switch circuit. The conduction cycle of the 50% pulse signal output to the bridge switch circuit becomes longer. Larger energy can be transmitted at a time to the secondary coil of the transformer. This increases the overall efficiency.
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter element consisting of a molded body of porous concrete, which element is arranged in the water stream of a purification system. In particular, the filter element (10) is a molded pervious concrete layer arranged as a partition between a lower compartment (9) and an upper compartment (11) of a treatment chamber (8), wherein the water inlet (12) opens into the lower compartment (9) and a water outlet (17) issues from the upper compartment (11). The pervious concrete filter layer may contain one or more additives to enhance adsorption of pollutants, such as heavy metal ions, phosphorous, hydrocarbons or other target soluble pollutants.

Abstract: Transportation of a lithographic plate uses an indexer to load plates into pods for delivery to a press cylinder via a pod elevator or a pod cart. The plates are imprinted with a bar code, imaged, punched, bent, sheared, corner notched, and registered to a press cylinder. The plates are loaded into the indexer, which moves the loaded plates into a position in alignment with designated pod compartments, and loads the plates into each of the designated pod compartments by indexed movement of an elevator within the indexer. The pod elevator or the pod cart moves the pods proximate to a press cylinder where the plates are unloaded from the pod and loaded onto a press cylinder. A computing device, such as a PLC, directs the process. A vision system senses information from the indexer, pod, pod elevator, and the plate for feedback to a PLC, which initiates all of the foregoing operations.

The supporting shafts are transversely mounted in the mouth at intervals and each supporting shaft has two connecting arms. The handles are detachably connected to the connecting arms of the supporting shafts beside the folding body and each handle has an inserting hole.
Abstract: A self-rotating mop has a mop head, a rotating rod, an actuating assembly and a top pole. The rotating rod is connected securely to the mop head and has spiral channel. The actuating assembly is mounted between the rotating rod and the top pole and has an actuating sleeve and an actuating ring. The actuating sleeve has multiple upper ratchets, and the actuating ring has multiple lower ratchets and multiple curved ribs. The curved ribs of the actuating ring engage the spiral channel of the rotating rod. When the top pole is pushed downward, the upper and lower ratchets engage with each other to force the rotating rod to rotate and move upward. When the top pole is pulled upward, the upper and lower ratchets disengage with each other and the actuating ring is rotated to allow the top pole for moving upward.

The method includes pre-processing a design layout into a plurality of layout based pattern groups, dividing the design layout into a plurality of cells, overlapping the cells belong to the same layout based pattern groups, extracting a plurality of defect data of all defects on a wafer, constructing a plurality of layout based defect composite pattern groups, executing layout pattern match to obtain each individual layout based defect composite pattern group, performing some defect sample selection rules to each layout based defect composite pattern group, sorting the layout based defect composite pattern groups into different defect types, obtaining a defect image file by reviewing different sample number of defect image from each layout based defect composite pattern group, and generating a defect pattern library or a defect yield prediction by performing a defect yield diagnosis to the defect image file.
Abstract: Disclosed is an outdoor electrical power receptacle, comprising a main body, a mounting member, and an extension power cord, wherein an upper end of the mounting member couples to the main body. The extension power cord, couples to each of controllable power outlets disposed on the main body and extended out of the main body for connecting to an external power source. Herein, the main body further includes a power switching module, a wireless transceiver, and a microprocessor. The power switching module couples to each controllable power outlet. The wireless transceiver receives a control signal. The microprocessor coupled to the wireless transceiver and the power switching module, drives the power switching module so as to control each of the controllable power outlets to be conducted in response to the control signal. A control system of the outdoor electrical power receptacle according to the present invention is also provided.

The positive electrode of each capacitor unit has a positive pin extended outwards therefrom. The positive pins are divided into a plurality of positive pin units that are separated from each other and electrically stacked onto each other. The negative electrode of each capacitor unit has a negative pin extended outwards therefrom. The negative pins are divided into a plurality of negative pin units. The negative pin units are separated from each other and the negative pins of each negative pin unit are electrically stacked onto each other. The substrate unit has a positive guiding substrate electrically connected to the positive pins and a negative guiding substrate electrically connected to the negative pins. The package unit covers the capacitor units and one part of the substrate unit.

Each light-guiding structure includes a light-guiding body unit and a light-reflecting microstructure unit. The light-guiding body unit has a light-guiding portion, at least one concave light-entering portion is formed on one end of the light-guiding portion, and a hollow portion is formed on a plane surface of the light-guiding portion. The light-reflecting microstructure unit has a plurality of light-reflecting microstructures disposed in the hollow portion. Thereby, the light-guiding structures are assembled to form a light pipe, wherein the concave light-entering portions are mated to form a light-entering groove on one end of the light pipe, and the hollow portions are mated to form a cavity space that is embedded in the light pipe.
Abstract: Disclosed is a network-connection redundant system for devices with cascade networking capability, and a method applied on the system. Every device capable of network connection preferably has two network ports, which are respectively connected to the same or different network nodes. The route of network packets can be controlled by defining the roles of ports. One emergent redundant connection is achieved. According to the preferred embodiment, every port is defined as one role such as forward port or blocked port after the network formed by the nodes and devices is initialized. It is featured that a plurality of connection-confirmation packets periodically transmitted or received by the network nodes are used to determine whether state of the connection changes or not. If there is any change, the role for each port is re-defined based on the relevant information. A redundant connection is then established.
Abstract: The invention provides an angle-adjustable display with an adjusting unit related to a body of the display in shape. The angle-adjustable display comprises a display body, a connecting rod and an adjusting unit. The connecting rod, at each of its two ends, respectively connects to the display and the adjusting unit. As the adjusting unit rotates along a rotating axis of the connecting rod as a rotation shaft, the adjusting unit contacts a surface in a contact position. A distance between the rotating axis and the surface is variable by rotating the adjusting unit along the rotating axis, and would change in the rotation of the display body, and the inclination of the display can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting unit along the rotating axis to change the contact position in opposition to the surface.
