  • Patent number: 8286930
Abstract: The invention provides an angle-adjustable display with an adjusting unit related to a body of the display in shape. The angle-adjustable display comprises a display body, a connecting rod and an adjusting unit. The connecting rod, at each of its two ends, respectively connects to the display and the adjusting unit. As the adjusting unit rotates along a rotating axis of the connecting rod as a rotation shaft, the adjusting unit contacts a surface in a contact position. A distance between the rotating axis and the surface is variable by rotating the adjusting unit along the rotating axis, and would change in the rotation of the display body, and the inclination of the display can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting unit along the rotating axis to change the contact position in opposition to the surface.

  • Patent number: 8284681
Abstract: Disclosed are an expandable network system and a redundant method applied to the system. According to one embodiment, the network system may be a ring-type or linear-type network system. A plurality of network nodes form one or more sub-networks. Many interconnected sub-networks form another network. While the network system is initialized, the method defines the role of each network port of each network node in each sub-network. Concurrently, every network port interconnected between the sub-networks is also defined to be a blocked port or a forward port. This mechanism defining the role of each port not only prevents the possible broadcast storm occurred in the network system, but also modifies the network signaling path by re-defining the roles of the ports while the connection changes. Therefore, the expandable network system and the method achieve a fast-redundant connection scheme, and the more flexible network-expanding function.

  • Patent number: 8263910
Abstract: A heater has an outer casing and at least one core assembly. An air inlet is formed through a rear surface of the outer casing. Two air outlets are formed respectively through two sides of the outer casing. Each core assembly is mounted in the outer casing and has at least one fan and two heating assemblies. Each fan draws air axially from the air inlet and blows air radially towards the air outlets. The heating assemblies are mounted respectively in the sides of the outer casing and correspond respectively to the air outlets. With such positioning of the air inlet and the air outlets of the outer casing, and with the fan drawing air axially and blowing air radially, the warm air blows out from both sides of the outer casing. Thus, convection speed is increased and ambient air temperature is warmed more effectively.

  • Patent number: 8248229
Abstract: A powerline network system having data relay function includes a plurality of power monitoring zones mutually connected with a powerline network and at least one repeater. Each of the power monitoring zones has at least one power monitoring device. The repeater is connected with each power monitoring device in two adjacent power monitoring zones through powerlines and has a first and a second relay units. The first and second relay units employ two different sets of transmitting and receiving bands to fetch data contained in powerline signals transmitted by each power monitor in adjacent power monitoring zones. The data are received by a relay unit are modulated with different transmitting band and then transmitted to powerlines of another power monitoring zone. The repeaters are not required to be serially connected to the powerlines, and incorrect data read can be also eliminated.
