  • Patent number: 7891019
Abstract: A heatable garment having a plurality of layers is shown. The first layer is an outer fabric layer of any fabric which is lightweight, durable and treatable and may also be air impervious. Cooperating with the outer fabric layer is an envelope or inflatable bladder having a plurality of interconnected chambers. A further inner layer adjacent the envelope or bladder is a heat producing element such as a plurality of imbedded heating wires woven into a supporting fabric. The supporting fabric may, however, comprise the inner wall of the inflatable envelope. A source of heat energy, such as a battery, is connected to the heat producing element to heat the inner fabric liner. Inflation of the inflatable bladder urges the heat producing element into intimate contact with the body of the wearer. The inflatable bladder also form fits the garment on the body of the wearer and provides insulation against heat loss.

  • Patent number: 7882731
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention allow an operator to select one, two, or more tires in the system to have their individual pressure measured or equalized and set by either connecting it to a compressed air supply or by bleeding out excess air to reduce tire pressure. This is all done by operating the push-button valves on the gauge handle to read and/or bleed when the push-button valve for reading is not actuated; it isolates the gauge from the compressor's air pressure during a filling phase to prevent its being damaged.

  • Patent number: 7883358
Abstract: A connection-sensing DC plug has an insulative body, a connection portion, two power terminals, a conductive sheet and a retractable pin. The connecting portion is adapted to electronically connect to a target device and has an isolation layer and a ground layer. The conductive sheet is mounted in the insulative body and contacts either the isolation layer or the ground layer. The retractable pin is movably mounted in the insulative housing parallel to the connecting portion, with one end securely engaging the conductive sheet and the other end protruding from the insulative body. When the DC plug is connected to the target device, the retractable pin is pressed and moves inward to bend the conductive sheet, turning the conductive sheet to a floating state and resulting in a trigger signal.

  • Patent number: 7878425
Abstract: A conventional liquid spray gun having a compressed air supply equipped with a liquid, e.g. paint, container for supplying the liquid to be sprayed onto a target surface. The container has a closed bottom, an open top and a cylindrical sidewall. A removable cover is attached over the open top of the container, and the cover has a pair of apertures extending through it, one of which holds a proximal end of a rigid tube whose distal end extends to a point close to the container's bottom. Slidingly mounted on the rigid tube is a generally circular, movable plunger whose periphery engages the cylindrical sidewall of the container. Pressurized air injected through the second aperture in the cover forces the plunger against the liquid's surface and causes the liquid to flow through the lumen of the rigid tube to the liquid inlet port of the spray gun.

  • Patent number: 7880887
Abstract: Accurate measurements of the concentration of a sterilant in a sterilization chamber are provided through the use of a light source, a first detector that receives light from the light source that has not passed through the sterilization chamber and a detector that receives light from the light source that has passed through the sterilization chamber. The light contains wavelengths known to be absorbed by the sterilant. A controller receives and processes signals received from the two detectors to cancel changes in the output of the light source and then apply a modified Beer-Lambert law to determine the concentration of the sterilant gas.

  • Patent number: 7881046
Abstract: An expansion base has a body and an amplifier. The body has a front, an outer surface, a container, multiple through holes and a protruding strip. The through holes are formed through the outer surface of the body. The protruding strip is formed transversely on and protrudes from the outer surface at the front of the body. The amplifier is mounted in the container of the body and has at least one woofer mounted in the container adjacent to the through holes and two speaker mounted in the container. When the notebook is placed on the protruding strip, a space is formed between a surface and the notebook for improved user-comfort and heat dissipation. The notebook is connected to the amplifier for improved sound.

  • Patent number: 7878146
Abstract: A live insect habitat that also serves as a retail receptacle for point of sale display of the insects. In particular, the invention comprises a cricket habitat and point of sale display receptacle for the sale of live crickets primarily for fishing bait and pet food purposes. The habitat/receptacle includes a housing having side walls with a sight window formed therein for purposes of permitting viewing of the inside of the housing and insect habitat from the outside. A habitat insert is located inside the housing and includes a multiple-sided member that partitions the interior space of the housing into discrete subspaces connected by passages giving the crickets ample room in which to crawl about. The housing and the habitat insert can be made of a moisture absorbent material in order to reduce the moisture content of the cricket environment. An item of cricket food is located in the housing whereby the retail habitat/receptacle has a prolonged shelf life while maintaining healthy live crickets.

  • Patent number: 7862542
Abstract: A thin sheath of flexible, flaccid material is introduced through openings in the body of an animal or human patient to permit surgical tools or fluids to be inserted and removed, or debris removed, during surgeries anywhere in the body to protect the tissue of the body from the instruments used. The sheath is inserted by an obturator which holds the sheath thereon by suction through an aperture in the obturator at its distal end. Once the sheath is inserted, suction is removed to release the sheath. Then a balloon on the distal end of the sheath is expanded to hold the sheath in place in the body while the obturator is removed. The sheath then remains in place with the balloon holding the distal end in the open position to enable fluids to flow through the sheath. After a procedure, the balloon is deflated and the sheath removed.

  • Patent number: 7854530
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lamp structure with a damper. The lamp structure is primarily for installation inside a cabinet. The electrical loop of the lamp structure is electrically connected by opening the door, and the illumination member of the lamp structure generates light to illuminate the interior of the cabinet. Conversely, when the door is closed, the damper is driven to touch the power switch to make the electrical loop of the lamp structure in the electrically disconnected state, and the illumination member no longer generates light.
