Abstract: An appliance mounting device that uses a first plate connected to a second plate by two opposingly located support plates in order to form a frame which circumscribes an appliance within the mounting device.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for the application of fluoropolymer to a preselected area of a threaded fastener, and particularly to substantially all of the threads of the fastener. The fluoropolymer is supplied to a spray nozzle in powder form and is subjected to a triboelectrostatic charging process so that individual particles discharged from the spray nozzle are electrically charged. In the preferred form of the invention, the fluoropolymer powder is triboelectrically charged, entrained in an air stream discharged from the nozzle and directed onto the preselected area of the fastener. In this manner a generally uniform powder coating is deposited onto the preselected area of the fastener while the fastener is maintained at room temperature. Thereafter, the fastener is heated to a temperature above the melting point of the fluoropolymer to thereby coalesce the deposited powder into a continuous film coating which adheres, upon cooling, to the pre-selected area of the fastener.
Abstract: An system and process for controlling an electronic exchange valve for an transport refrigeration system evaporator in the absence of a evaporator outlet pressure transducer reading is disclosed. The process includes monitoring for the absence of reliable evaporator outlet pressure readings, monitoring the supply air temperature, and supplying the supply air temperature to a processor within a controller for use in an algorithm so as to approximate the saturation reference temperature and superheat levels to derive the necessary control signals for the EXV.

Abstract: An system and method for monitoring and limiting high power and overheating engine conditions in a transport refrigeration unit is disclosed. The system provides a microprocessor control which monitor the engine coolant temperature to determine whether it exceeds a predetermined limit. If the engine coolant temperature exceeds that limit, the control sends a control signal which restricts or closes the suction modulation valve of the transport refrigeration system, restricting the mass flow rate of the system and thereby reducing the power draw on the engine. The system further provides a continued monitoring process for further restricting or closing the suction modulation valve in the event of continued high engine coolant temperatures, and for gradually opening the suction modulation valve and increasing the maximum current draw on the engine once the engine coolant temperature sinks below its predetermined limit.

Abstract: A system and process for optimizing the power drawn on a transport refrigeration system under power limitation conditions is disclosed. The invention includes a microprocessor control which adjusts the desired superheat level for the system, thereby altering the expansion valve, thereby limiting the mass flow rate of refrigerant through the system without having a comparable drop in refrigeration capacity as would a similar actuation of the suction modulation valve.

Abstract: A module transporter for transporting large loads, such as loads of 100 tons or even more, including two frame members joined at a base. The frame members are vertically adjustable and supported by movable carriages. The base is rotatably connected to the motivator, and the height of the base is also vertically adjustable. The transporter is preferably powered by a motivator with relatively low horsepower that requires little or no turning radius.
Abstract: A system for cleaning, storing and maintaining x-ray cassettes. The system is used within the environment of an x-ray exposure room for shooting x-ray images of x-ray subjects, and an x-ray dark room for developing x-ray images. The system may include a portable transport, cleaning and storage unit for storing, cleaning and transporting x-ray cassettes. The unit includes a work surface, at least one x-ray cassette receptacle for storing x-ray cassettes, and a vacuum apparatus for vacuuming dust particles from the x-ray cassettes and the unit.
Abstract: A vehicle communication system includes a trainable transmitter that is connected with the antenna associated with the AM/FM radio receiver in the vehicle. The trainable transmitter preferably is capable of learning a variety of communication signals and then later, selectively transmitting them to communicate with a variety of external, remotely located devices. A system designed according to this invention allows a single antenna to be used for emitting signals and receiving signals and, moreover facilitates communication with a variety of remotely located devices such as a garage door opener and a home security system.
Abstract: One or more guide members secured to an edge portion of a support or partition member direct conduits or any other elongate object along a predetermined path on the edge portion. The guide members include a body portion that defines an opening through which the conduits or other objects extend and a securing portion that secures the guide members to the support or partition.
Abstract: An automated refuse vehicle that provides a fast-return cycle for an engaged container, and a series of "lock-out" zones to minimize the possibility of damaging the vehicle during automated use. Methods for using an automated compacting system and for operating the refuse vehicle also form part of the present invention.

Abstract: A visual display screen is partitioned into a plurality of screen portions. Power drivers associated with the screen portions are grouped selectively according to the number of screen portions. The power supplied to each group of drivers is selectively controlled to select which screen portions receive power at any given time. In the event that a screen portion is not active for a current display after a preselected minimum amount of time, that screen portion is disabled because the power to that screen portion is selectively turned off.
Abstract: A sales receipt for displaying transaction and/or advertising indicia. The sales receipt consists of a coated plastic film with one or more layers. The surfaces of the plastic film may be treated and coated so that they can be provided with printed characters that will not smudge or smear.
Abstract: A system for rapid and easy replacement of sacrificial machine parts, utilizing an adapter having a slot and a retainer pin fitted with at least one spring-loaded ball bearing suitable for engaging the slot when the retainer pin is inserted into the adapter.
Abstract: A transparent EL display screen has a frame or rim member along only one edge of the screen. The screen is mounted within a vehicle interior so that it can be put in a position above the instrument panel and within the normal line of sight of a driver. Since the display screen is transparent and does not include a frame or rim around its entire parameter, the display screen makes information available without obstructing the driver's view of the road. The single frame or rim member supports all of the row and column drivers that are used to selectively illuminate the pixels on the display screen.
