  • Patent number: 7451174
Abstract: An analog electronic circuit is proposed that e.g. computes the symbol likelihoods for PAM or QAM signal constellations. The circuit has at least one set of M transistors connected to a common current source. A multiplier/adder generates the voltages to be applied to the transistors from a value y and a set of M expected values in such a way that the currents through the transistors correspond to the likelihood that the value y corresponds to the expected values. The circuit can be used for signal demodulation and various other applications.

  • Patent number: 7451215
Abstract: An OPC redirection manager maintains the information necessary for taking appropriate action when the target OPC server fails and for ensuring that no bad status is returned to the client. Any existing OPC client needing seamless failover between target OPC data access and/or alarm and event servers will connect to a uniquely configured instance of the redirection manager instead of connecting to the primary server. The client application continues to perform OPC related tasks as usual. Because each client connection is unique, the redirection manager itself is not a single point of failure. Each configured redirection manager instance monitors the health of the target server mode and the target server itself by subscribing to failure events.

  • Patent number: 7438766
Abstract: A coordinates compensation method of a robot cleaner using an angle sensor compensates coordinates of the robot cleaner with reference to absolute coordinates of a recharging station, so as to improve robot cleaner's path following. The robot cleaner is in a standby mode at the recharging station, and moves to an operation area to perform a given job. The robot cleaner stops the given job upon determining an accumulative angle exceeding a predetermined level, and returns to the recharging station. Current coordinates of the robot cleaner are aligned with reference coordinates of the recharging station, and the robot cleaner moves to a previous spot where it was before it returns to the recharging station, and resumes the work from where it stopped.
