  • Patent number: 8337552
Abstract: An intraocular lens adapted for deployment within a lens capsule. At least part of a lens surface of the intraocular lens constitutes a cell inducing region in which are directly formed a multitude of microgrooves. The microgrooves take a form of minute linear grooves and lands of depth dimension between 0.01 and 1.0 ?m and width dimension between 0.1 and 2.0 ?m extending with prescribed length in a circumferential direction on the lens surface. The minute linear grooves and lands are formed with a chained pattern connected in the circumferential direction of the lens surface and with a periodic pattern arrayed periodically in a diametrical direction so that the minute linear grooves and lands are formed without intervening spaces throughout the entire cell inducing region and impart visible light transmittance of 60% or above to the cell inducing region.

  • Patent number: 7996870
Abstract: An information processing apparatus carries out a process using delivery information delivered through a network. Only divisional delivery information used in the process of an n-time speed and acquired through a network by dividing the delivery information when the process is carried out at the n-time speed (where n>1) is acquired. Confirmation information used in confirming whether or not the divisional delivery information thus acquired is normally acquired through the network then is acquired, and the confirmation process of whether or not the divisional delivery information is normally acquired is carried out using the confirmation information. A processor carries out the process of the n-time speed using the divisional delivery information when the divisional delivery information is determined to have been normally acquired.

  • Patent number: 7874225
Abstract: A control apparatus for a shift-position changing mechanism includes a detection unit that is provided on a path along which the operation member with a magnetic member moves, and that detects a change in the magnetic field due to a positional change of the operation member; and a determination unit that determines the shift position corresponding to the operated position of the operation member based on the detected change in the magnetic field and predetermined multiple modes of changes in the magnetic field, which correspond to the respective shift positions. The predetermined modes are set such that, when the detected change in the magnetic field is influenced by a change in the magnetic field due to a factor different from the positional change of the operation member, a likelihood that the determination unit determines that the running shift position, at which a vehicle is able to run, is selected is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7746446
Abstract: Alignment parameters determination method with less overlay error after exposure without tremendous expending time and cost is provided. Provision is made of a fetching unit performing position measurement and statistical processing to obtain reference computation results. Another fetching unit obtains reference processing results by positioning and exposing shots at a predetermined exposure apparatus based on the reference computation results, then measuring overlay error for the shots. Another fetching unit changes at least parts of the predetermined alignment parameters and performs position measurement and statistical processing to obtain comparative computation results. A controller 650 calculates estimated overlay error when assuming positioning and exposure of shots at a predetermined exposure apparatus based on the comparative computation results using the reference computation results, comparative computation results, and reference processing results.

  • Patent number: 7478804
Abstract: The paper feeding apparatus includes a manual feed tray, a spindle, a rotation lever, a cam, an operation shaft, a projection portion, an operation arm, and a stopper. The paper feeding apparatus is able to switch to/from automatic and manual paper feeds for stable loading of paper on the paper loading board and manual paper feed. The manual feed tray is openable/closable by turning around the spindle. The rotation lever and the cam are fixed on the operation shaft. When the manual feed tray is opened, the projection portion pushes the rotation lever. When the manual feed tray is closed, the cam touches the backside of the operation arm and the stopper rises. When the manual feed tray is opened, the rotation lever is pushed by the projection portion and the cam rotates in the clockwise direction separating from the backside of the operation arm. The stopper, consequently, is lowered.

  • Patent number: 7446839
Abstract: Aspects of the invention can provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing system of a liquid crystal display which forms a homogeneous alignment layer by changing, depending on the specific area on a substrate, the quantity of an alignment layer material to be applied. The substrate, such as a substrate on which segment electrodes are formed, is conveyed via a belt conveyor which is driven by a driving gear according to signals from a control device, and is cleaned on a cleaning device. Then on a discharge device, an alignment layer material, the quantity of which differs depending on the specific area, can be applied on the substrate which is conveyed via the belt conveyor. Then, the alignment layer material applied on the substrate can be preliminarily dehydrated on a dehydrating device, and the substrate is burned on a burning device to form an alignment layer. Then, a rubbing process can be carried out onto the alignment layer on a rubbing device.
