Abstract: A blanket elevation apparatus is provided for elevating bedding away from the feet of a bed occupant. The blanket elevation apparatus is functional with a traditional bed to adjustably position the bedding thereof relative to its associated mattress. The blanket elevation apparatus includes a base frame retainer adapted to be slidably positioned between the upper mattress and the lower box spring. A bedding elevator includes leg members which slidably engage a pair of leg tubes of the base frame retainer so as to support bedding in spaced relation to the upper mattress.

Abstract: An electrical circuit interrupter for a conventional electrical plug is provided that be mounted on a wall electrical socket or on the plug itself. Adaptable to either 2-prong or 3-prong electrical plugs, a toggle switch either turns on or off the circuit from the plug to the wall socket.

Abstract: A cat litter product is provided made substantially from spent distillers' grain substantially removed of starch and combined with modified starch. The combination of spent distiller's grain and modified starch form particles tending to agglomerate when wetted. In addition, zeolite is added to adsorb and desorb water, thus eliminating and preventing mildew formation, and yucca schidegira is included as an emulsifying or foaming agent which functions to inhibit urease enzyme action and to prevent the formation of NH3 (ammonia), thereby binding and neutralizing annoying and harmful odors associated therewith. Yucca schidegira further serves to help neutralize feces odor.

Abstract: A shoe and boot cleaning device is disclosed, comprised of a main housing of a generally rectangular, hollow box configuration. A scraping blade is used to scrape mud off of shoes and boots. At least one rotating brush is used to clean off debris from the bottom of the shoes and boots. A drawer is located on the bottom of the main housing and collects the mud and dirt from the shoes and boots. The drawer can be removed for easy cleaning.

Abstract: An adjustable tile spacing apparatus permits the setting tiles in a consistent pattern with perfect spacing relative to one another so as to obtain grout joints of uniform width. The adjustable tile spacing apparatus includes a central member and two perpendicular members at opposing ends of the central member, with each member adjustable in both width and length dimensions, via the use of telescoping members and fasteners. A spacer is affixed to each corner of the apparatus. The spacer can have an X-shape, a T-shape, an L-shape, or a linear shape. The spacers may be ¼ inch, ⅜ inch, and ⅛ inch in width to construct various sized grout line widths. A rubber handle with finger grips is provided for user comfort. The adjustable tile spacing apparatus is simply moved along as each tile is set and provides perfect spacing for the next tile to be set.

Abstract: A personal hygiene cleansing tool, is provided as an apparatus to aid in cleansing body parts in a medical environment. The invention connects to a standard faucet on a sink, and provides a flow of water to a cleansing wand through a flexible plastic hose mounted on a retractable reel. The wand contains controls for adjusting the flow rate of the water, along with an adjustable head to provide a water flow from a stream to a mist. Additionally, the invention has a siphon arrangement to allow the addition of medicine into the water stream. The medicine is placed into a sealed chamber and then drawn out in an incremental manner as the water flows by. It is envisioned that the invention would be used in a hospital environment for the cleansing of wounds or for the bathing of individuals who cannot withstand the impact of water from a shower.

Abstract: A device for and method of displaying messages is provided which includes a portable control cabinet having electric power supplied externally. A timing device is provided which controls opening and closing of a hinged member, for example a car hood. The hinged member is attached with a visual display. A lifting device elevates the hinged member away from a lower surface to stretchably reveal display. A method of displaying a message is also provided.

Abstract: A desk is designed for mounting to a wall or for mounting to either side of a door. The desk consists of a table surface attached via a hinge mechanism to the wall or door. When folded down into its utilized state, there is a leg support, with integral springs that supports the desk surface to the floor, wall or door. Additionally, a swing arm support supports the rear of the desk surface from the wall as well. Additional swing down components such as shelves, paper holders, and even a desk chair are also envisioned. All supporting hardware is of high-strength design and is locking for sure support. Any surfaces which may touch finished surfaces are provided with rubber bumpers for protection. The use of the desk allows those with limited floor space, or those who do not want the appearance of a permanent desk, to have a useful and functional desk to perform various activities that require a flat, horizontal surface almost anywhere in a home.

Abstract: A portable extinguishing ash container with pivoting lid is provided. The ash container features a flame-resistant fabric pouch which accommodates a metal container. The pouch is filled with a noncombustible granular material such as sand or pebbles for enveloping an outer surface of the ash container. A hinged circular, transparent lid allows the smoker to close the apparatus securely during transportation and to keep discarded butts and ashes inside. A small release button on the front causes the lid to open automatically when the button is pressed. Being transparent, the lid allows for various pictures, photographs, logos, or word phrases to be placed thereunder to provide for a visually appealing appearance. A pivoting cigarette platform is provided to permit resting support of a cigarette. A leather strap is included to facilitate transportability.

Abstract: A disposable drip guard adapted for operable engagement with a fuel inlet of a standard motorcycle fuel tank in order to effectively absorb spilled fuel in the event of motorcycle tank overfill or fuel nozzle drip is provided. The disposable drip guard includes a plastic annular portion impervious to gasoline which forms a central, circular bore throughwhich the nozzle of a gasoline pump is inserted. The annular portion is disposed with a tri-layered fuel absorption bib.

Abstract: An articulative, shell casing deflection and collection apparatus is provided for deflecting and collecting spent shell casings from firearms when shooting at a range. The apparatus clamps to the edge of a shooting table and is adjustable to suit any type firearm. The frame of the invention forms an arch that originates along the edge of the table and extends up and over the firearm, which would typically be supported on a tripod. A metal fabric screen would be supported across the frame in a rectangular format. A collection bin is located along the bottom such that any shell casings would eject from the firearm, hit the screen and be deflected into the collection bin.

Abstract: A truck bed cargo stabilizer and organizer portable apparatus is provided for storing, stabilizing and organizing items placed in the bed of a pickup truck. The truck bed cargo stabilizer and organizer apparatus is comprised of a hollow structure for a bed of a truck having an upper portion and a lower portion forming a T-shape with a generally flat upper surface which includes a plurality of bucket receiving cylinders and a toolbox receiving cavity.

Abstract: A free standing fishing alarm is provided in which the head or tail member(s) may be threadably attached to the body member, creating a water tight environment for the circuitry and associated components, or removed from the body member to allow service and maintenance of the device. The body member internally houses the circuitry, including batteries, and the lighting and audible signaling means. The body member externally houses a clamp means, a toggle switch, a fastening means, and two opposable ends with threads for receiving the head and tail members so as to provide a unified device. A user can simply attach the device to a fishing rod or a stake, cast the fishing line, place the line within the clamp means, flip the toggle switch “on” and wait for the “big one” to strike.

Abstract: A crash bar adapted to be mounted specifically to HARLEY-DAVIDSON SPORTSTER® and EVOLUTION® motorcycle models from 1986 to present is provided to support a rider's feet in a more comfortable and stable riding position. The crash bar is designed and configured so as to prevent slippage of rider's feet therefrom and to provide the motorcycle with protection against damage should the motorcycle fall over. The crash bar is of a tubular configuration constructed of steel and defines a C-shaped portion serving as a first foot support surface, while a top member provides a second foot support surface. Spherical-shaped, chrome abutment elements are welded to the crash bar and provide a restraint against which rider's feet bear, thus preventing rider's feet from slipping while riding.

Abstract: A portable, scalably adjustable cargo securement apparatus is provided which includes laterally extensible rail members, longitudinally extensible rail members, and elongated stabilizer arbors having an elongated, tubular configuration generally circular in cross-section which interconnect via a plurality of impingement locking brackets so as to form a generally square-shaped framework for confining cargo within its boundaries. The impingement locking brackets function to allow for selective, lateral and longitudinal slidable engagement by laterally extensible rail members and longitudinally extensible rail members. The cargo securement apparatus is adapted to be utilized in a cargo area of sport utility vehicles. A plurality of feet function to bear against a cargo floor, thereby according balanced stability to the cargo securement apparatus.

Abstract: A portable rod and reel device utilizing trigger-actuated line release and braking mechanism is provided in which a fishing line reel of an otherwise conventional design is integrated with a trigger-actuated line release and braking mechanism. The reel is based upon a conventional spincast reel design for winding and releasing a length of fishing line. The reel is mounted and enclosed within a main housing. A prolate void volume is formed throughout a central portion of the main housing, through which fingers pass, thus facilitating a firm grasp of the main housing. A hollow rod is attached to an end of the main housing. A hook restraint is removably attached to an end of the hollow rod. A trigger element functions so as to allow for both the release and braking of fishing line in a controlled, easy manner through conjunctive engagement with the reel.

Abstract: A cutting and fillet board with drain is adapted for removable attachment to a conventional IGLOO® ice chest cooler and other similar ice chest coolers. The cutting and fillet board has a planar, generally rectangular board member fabricated of a high-density polymer and includes a raised peripheral wall. The board member has a generally smooth filleting surface designed for use during cutting, cleaning, and filleting fish. An attachment means facilitates removable attachment of the board member to an upper surface of an ice chest cooler top. A pair of drainage portals facilitate drainage from the filleting surface, while drain plugs serve to prevent drainage onto the ice chest cooler top. A cutting instrument retention means provides for temporary storage of a desired cutting instrument.

Abstract: A handled device that aids one in applying tanning oil, lotion or sun screen to their back region and other hard-to-reach areas. The long handle portion allows the user to reach the desired area with enhanced ease. The long handle portion includes an elongated handle that supports a head with a flat applicator pad constructed of a sponge-like material. The head includes a reservoir that the user fills with the preferred tanning lotion or oil. Connected to a squeeze pump located on the handle opposite the head, the user pressurizes the reservoir, causing the lotion/oil to be forced through exit apertures to the applicator pad.

Abstract: A golf stance coordinator template and method for using the same is provided for establishing and documenting a correct stance and for repeated positioning of the golf ball when utilizing assorted golf clubs. The device includes a foot positioning template having an E-shaped configuration when assembled for use. The foot positioning template includes first, second, and third vertical foot marker members which are pivotally secured to a horizontal foot marker member. The foot positioning template folds into an I-shaped configuration for ease in transportability. Indicia are provided to serve as golf stance indicator markers.
