    Abstract: A honeycomb structural body-extruding die apparatus is disclosed herein, which includes an extruding die and a die mask provided around an outer peripheral portion of the extruding die on an extruding material outlet side. The extruding die also includes a plurality of extruding material-feeding holes formed on the extruding material inlet side and a plurality of shaping channels formed communicating with each other in a lattice fashion on the extruding material outlet side. The honeycomb structural body-extruding die apparatus is further provided with an annular perforated plate arranged concentrically with the extruding die on the extruding material inlet side. The perforated plate has through holes of which respective central axes are in conformity with those of the extruding material feeding holes.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a drag control device in a spinning type fishing reel which includes a reel body and a spool shaft extending through the reel body. The drag control device comprises a hollow cylindrical member, a drag control screw, a click spring member and a stop member. The hollow cylindrical member extends from a rear portion of the reel body and is disposed over the spool shaft. The drag control screw has one end portion threadingly engaged with the hollow cylindrical member, an intermediate portion formed with the stepped portion, and the other end portion formed with indentations at an outer peripheral surface thereof. The hollow cylindrical member is formed with a groove at its outer peripheral surface and a through hole extending in radial direction thereof. The click spring member is fitted with the groove and engageable with the indentations. The stop member is provided to the click spring member and extends through the through-hole into the stepped portion.

    Abstract: A contact-sensing probe for measuring workpieces includes a body (16) for attachment to a machine and a workpiece contacting stylus (22) carried by a stylus holder (24) which is mounted within the body for movement relative thereto from a rest position to a displaced position when the stylus contacts the workpiece. Sensing means are provided for sensing workpiece contact by the stylus. The sensing means comprise a plurality of strain gauges (46) mounted on pillars (44) connecting two parts (36A,36B) of a support structure which supports the stylus holder on the body. The strain gauges are mounted with their principal axes lying at an angle to the axes of the pillars, and by optimizing the numbers, positions and dimensions of the pillars together with the angles of the strain gauges, high sensitivity can be achieved with minimum risk of false signals due to probe vibration, while at the same time minimizing the variation in pre-travel of the stylus.

    Abstract: A rotary direction detecting sensor for use on an automobile includes a pair of switching means provided radially from an axis of a steering shaft, and angularly spaced from each other at a predetermined angle about the axis. A first rotary member and a second rotary member are provided around the steering shaft, one of the rotary members being rotated in accordance with the rotation of the shaft and the other of them being limited in rotation to a substantially half angle of the angle between the switching means. In response to one direction of the rotation of the shaft, one of the switching means is selected to actuate blinking of one turn indicator lamp whereas the other of the switching means is held at its original deactivated position. On the other hand, in response to the other direction of the rotation of the shaft, the other of the switching means is selected for its operation.

    Abstract: There are disclosed a method of delivering pictorial image data per each color obtained by applying color resolution to a manuscript using a color scanner to a sublimation transfer printer to effect a transfer from a sublimation transfer sheet to an image-receiving sheet, thus to make a hard copy of a color image, and a device for implementing such a method. The image data comprises three primary data of cyan, magenta and yellow and black data calculated from the three primary data. Data obtained by applying color and gradation corrections to the four color data are delivered to the sublimation transfer printer. The sublimation transfer sheet is provided with a transfer ink layer of four colors of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. By the operation of the sublimation transfer printer, the ink of each transfer ink layer is transferred onto the image-receiving paper, thus to make a hard copy.

    Abstract: Mechanical resonance of the vibratory feeder is maintained by minimizing a phase angle difference between substantially sinusoidal drive voltage and current wave forms. The mass flow rate of material being fed is controlled by controlling the electrical power applied to the vibratory feeder compared with a desired electrical power computed from a desired flow rate. The preferred embodiment includes synthesized drive wave forms which are variable in frequency and amplitude in order to maintain the vibratory feeder in mechanical resonance at the desired flow rate. Resonant operation and accurate material flow are accomplished without use of electromechanical vibration sensors and control is accomplished using the magnitude and phase relationships between the applied voltage and current drive wave forms.
