Abstract: Elimination of mis-detection of a front erasure section of reference information for controlling the position of a read/write head on the disk storage device is accomplished, by zoning a part of a disk surface for a specific zone RZ separately from a data storage zone DZ, storing a dummy data Dd in a code pattern with a predetermined repetition cycle in an entire area, excluding areas for reference information storage, of the specific zone RZ, and positioning a read/write head in the specific zone RZ to detect a front erasure section ER of the reference information RI by a reference information read out means 30. The read out means 30 reads out of an identification section ID and a servo information section SI of the reference information RI securely without being confused by fake erasure sections.
Abstract: A remote controlled circuit breaker including a mechanism linked to a handle by a drive lever equipped with a roller cooperating with a recharging cam of an energy storage system including a spring. A bearing surface is arranged to block the roller in the charged position, without requiring the presence of a special latching stage, since the line of action of the reaction R of the roller passes via the transmission shaft of the cam. A step-by-step motor of the vibrating type drives the transmission shaft in rotation, and enables almost instantaneous stopping of the cam when the roller is in contact with the bearing surface.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for both mechanical and electrical lockout of a remote control unit for a modular circuit breaker. This device includes a retractable ring pivoting around a spindle and provided with a locking nose arranged to cooperate with a stop pin located on the circumference of a drum rotating around a spindle and bearing a manual control handle having two stable positions. The retractable ring bears in addition a rocker designed to actuate a switch fitted on the electrical supply circuit of the remote control unit. This device is advantageous in that it also enables padlocking or sealing of the retractable ring.
Abstract: In an stereoscopic retinal camera having a photographing optical system capable of photographing a pair of stereoscopic fundus images by dividing a light beam reflected by the fundus of an examinee's eye into two light beams through a two-hole diaphragm, provided are an illuminating optical system for illuminating the fundus of an examinee's eye, an observing optical system for observing the fundus illuminated by the illuminating optical system, a detecting optical system for detecting the luminous flux reflected by the fundus and then directed into the observing optical system, and based on the detected result by the detecting optical system, balance of video signal strength between a pair of the fundus images is judged thereby to take a stereoscopic photograph of the fundus.
Abstract: To widen the width of under layer wiring connected to a source region and to lower the resistance of the under layer wiring in a semiconductor device, a direction connecting a through hole with a contact hole connected to a drain region is tilted by 45 or by 30 over a direction connecting between contact holes for connecting a source region or the drain region. Alternatively, the source region and the a drain region are respectively aligned in parallel stripes, and the through hole and the contact hole for connecting the drain region are aligned in a stripe in which the drain region is aligned.
Abstract: A black matrix substrate is provided with a substrate, and a black pattern formed on the substrate. The black pattern includes at least metal particles in a resin pattern, which comprises resin formed in a pattern shape. The metal particles have such a particle diameter distribution that particles having particle diameters in a range of 5 nm to 50 nm are not less than 80% of the total particles. A projected area density at a conversion of 600 .ANG. thickness of the metal particles in the black pattern, is not less than 60%. An optical density of the black matrix substrate is not less than 1.5. A color filter, which has a high contrast ratio, can be constructed by use of this black matrix substrate. Further, a liquid crystal display device, which has a good image quality, can be constructed by use of this color filter.
Abstract: Reciprocal diffusion is prevented in a SiC electronic device by interposing an intermediate layer composed of W or a W-Si alloy rather than forming the Ni electrode directly on a SiC base, providing a stable electrode for which the contact resistance does not increase even when high temperatures are maintained. Bonding is facilitated when Au layer is formed on top of the Ni layer.
Abstract: A driving control apparatus consists of a battery for storing electric energy supplied to a motor-driven compressor and a drive motor, a direct current detector for detecting a direct current supplied from the battery to the compressor, a direct current voltage detector for detecting a d.c. voltage applied by the battery, a controller for calculating an electric power consumed by the motor-driven compressor, determining an upper limit of the electric power in dependence on the d.c. voltage, judging whether or not the electric power is larger than the upper limit, and controlling the compressor to reduce the electric power in cases where the electric power is larger than the upper limit. Because the upper limit of the electric power is determined in dependence on the d.c. voltage and because the electric power becomes necessarily lower than the upper limit, an electric tar is not stalled by the exhaustion of the electric power in the battery before a driver arrives at his destination.
