  • Patent number: 8015654
Abstract: An apparatus for washing hands and/or fingernails includes a brush assembly attached to a water faucet. The brush assembly includes a backplane with two opposed brushes attached to the backplane such that the bristles on each brush face outward from the backplane. A clamping mechanism removable attaches the brush assembly to the faucet. The clamping mechanism is pivotable on the faucet so the user can move the brush assembly into the water stream to use the brushes and out of the water stream for rinsing.

  • Patent number: 7769003
Abstract: A high speed data packet switch comprising input and output ports and a switch fabric to link each input port to each output port wherein each connection between input and output ports comprises a dynamic buffer memory for storing at least one data packet for a minimum specified storing time is disclosed. When a data packet is received through an input port, it is written in all individual dynamic memory buffers connected to this input port so as to have a copy of the incoming data packet ready to go through any output port to support unicast, multicast and broadcast traffic. Given the architecture of the data packet switch and its control algorithm, dynamic memory buffers neither need to be refreshed nor their contents have to be restored after reading.

  • Patent number: 7749022
Abstract: A coaxial cable connector includes an outer body having a first end and an opposing second end, an inner body having a first inner end and a second inner end, and a post interconnected with the inner body. A fastener portion is at the first end of the outer body. A compression sleeve is disposed to fit on the second inner end. The post, the inner body, and the compression sleeve are movable with respect to the outer body between a first position in which the connector is not mounted to an equipment port and a second position when the connector is mounted to the equipment port. When the fastener portion is mounted to the equipment port, an indicator portion on the compression sleeve is made visible to a user.

  • Patent number: 7658680
Abstract: This invention relates to the field of playing billiards and in particular to a cue ball aiming or training device for learning to aim a cue ball to an object ball to drive the object ball in a desired direction. The aiming device provides an indication of the true point of aim for directing a cue ball to an object ball, to drive the object ball in a desired direction. In use, the aiming device is positioned on top of the object ball and has a direction indicator to point to the desired intended direction of the object ball and a strike point indicator to identify the true point of aim for the cue ball.

  • Patent number: 7592882
Abstract: A dual bandstop filter affects frequencies in a lower passband, first and second stopbands separated by a middle passband, and an upper passband. The filter includes two legs. In one version, one leg is a highpass filter while the other leg is a bandstop filter outputting into a lowpass filter. In a second version, one leg is a lowpass filter while the other leg is highpass filter outputting into a bandstop filter. The first version is preferred when the upper value of the lower passband is around 100 MHz or less, while the second version is preferred when the upper value of the lower passband is around 100 MHz or more. In a third version, one leg is a highpass filter while the other leg is a bandstop filter sandwiched between two lowpass filters, preventing second resonances from the lowpass filter from interfering with desired frequencies in the upper passband.

  • Patent number: 7527512
Abstract: An expanding contact used within a cable connector to make a solid connection with a hollow center conductor of a coaxial cable includes two pieces, a pin and a guide. The pin includes a plurality of slots which form a like plurality of fingers, while the guide includes a plurality of tabs which fit into the plurality of slots. Ends of the fingers include a ramped portion which interacts with a ramped portion of the guide. When the pin is pushed against the guide, the fingers are pushed outward because of the ramped portions of the fingers sliding against the ramped portion of the guide. Before the ends are pushed outward, the pin/guide combination can slide easily into and out of the hollow center conductor, but when the fingers are pushed outward, the fingers make a substantial interference fit with the inner walls of the hollow center conductor.

  • Patent number: 7527500
Abstract: A combination of a swivel port and a wall plate includes a body interconnected with a female connector or a double-female coaxial cable connector such that moving the body moves the connector and vice versa. At least one ridge on the body corresponds to and interoperates with at least one guide channels in an opening in the wall plate which receives the swivel port. The guide channel extends from an inside of the wall plate to an outside of the wall plate, and width of the guide channel at the outside of the wall plate is greater than a width of the guide channel at the inside of the wall plate. The interoperation of the ridge on the body with the guide channel permits movement of the swivel port in two dimensions while prohibiting rotation of the swivel port about a longitudinal axis of the swivel port.

  • Patent number: 7524208
Abstract: A security shield for a coaxial cable interconnection between a male connector and a female connector includes a gasket having a cross-section fitted to an annular shoulder of the security shield. When the security shield is fitted onto the coaxial cable interconnection, the gasket provides a seal between the security shield, the male connector, and the female connector. In an alternative embodiment, two gaskets are used which are fitted onto different parts of the annular shoulder of the security shield.

  • Patent number: 7508284
Abstract: A hybrid diplex bandstop filter includes a lowpass filter circuit which passes a first range of frequencies and a highpass filter circuit passes a third range of frequencies. The filter blocks a second range of frequencies. The third range of frequencies is higher than the second range and the first range. A tuning circuit tunes at least one re-resonance of a frequency inside the first range of frequencies to either within the second range of frequencies or outside an industry specified upper limit which is in the third range of frequencies.

  • Patent number: 7507117
Abstract: A coaxial cable connector includes an outer body, an inner body, a post interconnected with the inner body, a plurality of threads inside a first end of the outer body, and a compression sleeve disposed to fit between a second end of the outer body and an end of the inner body. The connector further includes a shoulder on an end of the post, a shoulder on an inside of the outer body, and a spring disposed between the shoulder of the post and the shoulder of the outer body. When the connector is not is not screwed completely onto an equipment port, a visible indicator on the compression sleeve is not visible to a user, but when the connector is screwed completely onto the equipment port, the connector becomes visible to the user.

  • Patent number: 7497002
Abstract: A cable stripping tool includes a marking device connected directly to a handle of the tool, or connected to a cartridge containing the marking device, which cartridge is connected to the handle of the tool. The underside of the cartridge contains a plurality of cutting blades to cut different layers of a coaxial cable. The marking device contains a tip which marks the proper location on the cable indicating the proper depth of insertion of the prepared coaxial cable into a cable connector. Different cartridges are sized to mark and cut different sizes of cable.

  • Patent number: 7468557
Abstract: An ultra thin film with very low electrical resistance is produced by forming a substrate of a substrate material which forms a metastable bond and depositing a conducting film on the substrate in a vacuum environment in which a base pressure is reduced to a value below 10?5 Torr. The film is a metal, metallic alloy, or multilayered film which includes at least one metallic layer. A 0.1 nm thick manganese film deposited in this way on a germanium substrate has a resistivity which at room temperature is lower than the resistivity of metal films of aluminum and copper with the same thickness prepared the same way.

  • Patent number: 7462042
Abstract: A bonding block includes a first flat portion, a second flat portion orthogonal to and connected to the first flat portion, and a third flat portion orthogonal to and connected to the first flat portion. The third flat portion is substantially parallel to the second flat portion. A cable connector body is press-fitted into a hole in the first flat portion, staked to the flat portion, and covered by a dress ring. A ground connecting portion for retaining a ground wire is in the form of a box, with the bottom of the box including a retaining groove and the top of the box including a seizure screw. The front and rear of the box contain holes to permit alternate entry locations for the ground wire. The bonding block is preferably formed from a single piece of stainless steel.
