Abstract: A transmission line driving circuit that can support a high-rate signal transmission and further can perform appropriate loss compensation in accordance with a signal pattern. A transmission line driving circuit 1 comprises a plurality of driver input circuits 20 that serve as signal analyzing unit for analyzing the content of the signal pattern of an input signal; a plurality of lowpass filters 30; a plurality of gain adjusting circuits 40; a plurality of adders 50; and adder 52; and a driver output circuit 60 that outputs, in accordance with a signal analysis result, a signal the phase of which has been adjusted in such a direction that cancels the timing deviation caused by a loss occurring when the input signal is transmitted to the transmission path. The output signal from the driver output circuit 60 is transmitted to the transmission path 2.
Abstract: A system and method for universal serial bus mass storage device asynchronous file and file system update while connected to a PC or other device employs setting error flags and timestamp change flags when a file is changed, and returning the error conditions in reply to a REQUEST_SENSE command.
Abstract: A user-dedicated storage area (97) of a cellular phone (10) is retained in a storage server (9) on a network (6). Software purchased by a user via a sales server (12) is not transferred directly to the user's cellular phone (10) but is stored in the user-dedicated storage area (97) of the user. The user downloads the software from his or her own dedicated storage area (97) to his or her own cellular phone (10) before using the software.
Abstract: A light bulb socket adapter includes an adapter base and at least one lamp holder. The adapter base includes a base having a ring contact and a tip contact. The at least one lamp holder is oscillatingly mounted to the adapter base through an oscillating connection assembly. The oscillating connection assembly has a ball-holding mechanism mounted on an end opposite to the base of the adapter base, and at least one ball fixedly connected with the respective lamp holder and oscillatingly engaged with the ball-holding mechanism. The present invention allows the light bulb mounted thereon to irradiate in a desired direction and a bayonet-type bulb to be mounted in a conventional screw-type socket without requiring an additional socket adapter.
Abstract: A plant pot has a container and a ring cover. The container has a top, a sidewall and multiple fixing posts. The sidewall has an annular collar. Each fixing post protrudes out from the collar. The ring cover is mounted over the collar of the sidewall of the container and has an inner edge, an outer edge and multiple fixing barrels. The inner edge and the outer edge are attached to the sidewall of the container. Each fixing barrel is formed on and protrudes out from the inner surface of the ring cover and has a corresponding fixing post. Engagement of the fixing posts to the fixing barrels prevents the ring cover from being rotated relative to and detached from the container.
Abstract: To prepare very high resolution computer-generated hologram having many numbers of parallaxes, a computer-generated holographic stereogram, with virtual point light source group set up spatially on a side opposite to the hologram observation side, luminance angular distribution AWLci (?xz, ?yz) of divergent light from each virtual point light sources of said group toward observation side is divided by angular division, and within the divided angle, among the multiple images positioned on the plane of said group, divergent light equal to the divergent light diverged from a point of amplitude equal to the density of pixel of each divided angle corresponding image or equal to a value in a certain fixed relation with the density of the images at the position of the virtual point light source is recorded as the object light at one of the positions on the observation side of the virtual point light source group.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing light-emitting diode device has steps of isolating a light-emitting side of an LED chip from a wire-bonding region by disposing partition panels on the wire-bonding region and coating phosphors on the light-emitting side of the LED chip in a phosphor-coating process. The method can be applied to manufacturing LED device having a flip chip structure or a vertical chip structure. According to the method, a white LED device can be directly manufactured without adopting a phosphor package technique, and thereby a whole package process of the white LED device is simplified.

Abstract: An ink-feeding device is provided in which the pressure applied to the ink in the printing head can be adjusted arbitrarily irrespective of the relative positions of the ink container and the printing head. Inside the sub-tank 80, a pressure-adjusting pump 82 is installed for applying a suitable pressure to many nozzles 22Kn of the printing head 22K. This pressure-adjusting pump 82 is placed a little above the bottom face of the sub-tank 80 at a prescribed distance from the bottom face. Thereby the pressure-adjusting pump 82 is immersed in the ink held in the sub-tank 80. A drive unit 83 for driving the pressure-adjusting pump 82 is placed above the sub-tank 80. On the upper wall of the sub-tank 80, an air-vent valve 84 is fixed to bring the inside pressure in the sub-tank 80 to an atmospheric pressure. The inside pressure in the sub-tank 80 is made equal to the atmospheric pressure by opening the air-vent valve 84.
Abstract: A network test instrument for singlemode and multimode OTDR testing employs an optical topology providing for combined singlemode and multimode use of a detector for reduced cost and instrument size.
Abstract: A spring type paper cushion having a columnar body, at least four cushioning recesses, at least four projections and a receiving portion. The columnar body has a columnar wall and an axis. The cushioning recesses and the projections are formed on the columnar wall. The projections are respectively located between two of the cushioning recesses. The receiving portion is recessed into the columnar wall and is located at one of the cushioning recesses. The receiving portion has two receiving mountain-fold lines, two slits and a bottom. The slits are cut so that the two receiving mountain-fold lines can be folded allowing the bottom to sink into the body.
Abstract: An abrasion-enhanced hinge has a pintle, a washer assembly and a stationary leaf. The pintle is connected securely to a cover of an electronic device. The washer assembly has multiple stationary washers and multiple rotating washers. The stationary and rotating washers are mounted interlacedly around the pintle. The stationary washers are connected securely to each other. The rotating washers are connected securely to the pintle. The stationary leaf is connected securely to a base of the electronic device and is connected securely to the nearest stationary washer. When the cover is pivoted to the base, the pintle is rotated relative to the stationary leaf. Thus, the rotating washers are rotated relative to the stationary washers. Because the stationary and rotating washers are mounted interlacedly, the rotations between the stationary and rotating washers provide a lot of abrasions. Therefore, the hinge provides enhanced abrasion.
Abstract: A vehicle mountable personal property securement device includes a plurality of walls that device a housing with an aperture. A real is operably disposed in the housing for spring-biased rotation. A cable is threaded through the aperture of the housing and includes a first end that is secured to the reel. The second end of the cable is disposed external the housing and is terminated by a head of dimension greater than a diameter of the aperture. A ratchet is disposed in operable configuration in cooperation with the reel to enable ratcheted rotation of the reel in a first direction during cable extraction and further operable at periodic intervals of rotation to enable reversal of wheel rotation.
