Abstract: A dough-dividing and rounding machine for dividing and rounding dough wherein the machine includes a removable ring and dividing assembly for the convenient cleaning of the machine and to allow for the interchangeability of the dividing assembly with other dividing assemblies for the production of dough or similar materials having different weights, quantities or shapes. The present invention being particularly adapted for use in dividing and/or dividing and rounding machines wherein a predetermined quantity of pieces of equal-sized dough or the like are produced.

Abstract: A method of monitoring signal lines on a computer data channel, and copying the respective data transmissions which occur in time sequence into a memory in space sequence corresponding to the time sequence, includes recognizing particular data channel signals, and includes displaying selected portions of the recorded tabulations of data transmissions, which portions include the data transmissions bounded about the recognized particular data transmission.

Abstract: A connecting block for electrically connecting a plug of a telephone set to a telephone line includes a base plate having a terminal for connection to the telephone line, a jack unit including a jack having an opening for inserting the plug thereinto, the jack unit having parallel side walls across the jack opening, a pair of parallel retaining members extending upwardly from side edges of the base plate for removably retaining the jack unit therebetween, and a cover for enclosing the retaining members, the jack unit and the terminal, the cover having a window to which the jack opening may be exposed. The arrangement of the jack unit and the retaining members is such that the jack opening may selectively extend parallel to the base plate or perpendicular thereto.

Abstract: A lightweight portable beam for attachment to a portable display structure by a simple hanging bracket, the beam formed of two pieces of elongated flexible material, typically plastic, wherein one piece of material has a width dimension larger than the second piece of material, both pieces of material having an attachment device extending along their respective elongate edges, to cause the wider material piece to become bowed outwardly when attached to the narrower piece.

Abstract: A lightweight knockdown table and cabinet structure adapted for ease of assembly and disassembly comprised of a plurality of hollow tubular frame members releasably interconnected by a plurality of fasteners and lock assemblies and having a multi-sectioned top which adds rigidity and support to the structure. The fastener and lock assemblies each include a fastening device with multiple end connectors. The fastening devices are slidably insertable into the frame members and have a guide slot bridging into a locking slot. The end connectors are also insertable into the frame members and have a projecting male connector end. The male connector end is insertable into the guide slot and movable into locking engagement within the locking slot to releasably interlock the frame members together at right angles. The multi-sectioned top includes adjacent middle and side sections with support flanges which rest upon opposing frame members.

Abstract: Apparatus for enhancing certain floating point arithmetic operations, by examining the initial operands and the exponent and fractional results and predicting when the steps of postnormalization and rounding can be skipped. The fraction result format enables a prediction of normalization and rounding under each of the addition, subtraction and multiplication possibilities, and under each of the various choices of rounding mode which are used in floating point arithmetic.

Abstract: A fastening device for use in support structures wherein the fastening of support members is accomplished by slidably inserting end connectors into slotted fastening devices to produce a final locking fit between the support members and the fastening device. A keyed screw which holds the fastening device and support member in an intermediate locking position to aid in the overall assembly of the support structure.

The converter has a total of eleven analog voltages coupled to its inputs, three of which are selectable by the computer processor each time the converter is activated. The fractional result of a floating point arithmetic operation is simultaneously passed to a normalized circuit and a round circuit, and the first two bit positions of the fractional result are examined. If the 2-bit format is 1.X the round circuit is activated; if the 2-bit format is 0.1X the fractional result is shifted left one position and the round circuit is activated; if the 2-bit format is in neither of the above formats the normalize circuit is activated. In no event is it necessary to activate sequentially the normalize circuit and the round circuit.
