Abstract: A hearing device having at least one of an acoustical/electrical converter and an electrical/acoustical converter respectively with an acoustical input or output. The input or output, as the case may be, is linked to a coupling opening at the outer surface of the device via a channel. At least a part of the outer surface of the device is formed by a one-part shell. The shell defines an inner space of the device, with the channel being provided within and along the part of the shell and being formed within the material of the shell.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide an antenna apparatus whose directional characteristic can be switched 90 degrees conforming to the communication mode at the same time as the frequency band can be switched in response to the communication mode for application to a multiband radio for covering different communication modes such as voice communications and data communications, and a radio using the antenna apparatus. An antenna apparatus 1 of the invention includes linear radiator 2, 3; a first linear director 4; and first and second linear conductors 5 and 6 connected at one end to the radiator 2, 3and at an opposite end to the first director 4 through switches 7.
Abstract: Machine for producing a patterned textile product, comprising a drum with a perforated lateral surface rotated about its axis, a sleeve with holes which is slipped over the drum, and having a ration of the sum of the surface area of the holes to the surface area of its total lateral surface of between 5 and 75% and, preferably, between 7 and 50% and a hole diameter not greater than 1 mm, a device for spraying water jets in the direction of the drum in a direction substantially radial thereto and means for creating a vacuum inside the drum wherein an apertured sheath is slipped over the sleeve and has apertures at least one dimension of which is greater than 2 mm.
Abstract: The prevent invention provides a portable terminal capable of performing good contactless communication with a reader/writer antenna without generating a dead band even at the time of rear surface communication.
Abstract: An electric switchgear (10) with a pole of the switchgear filled with insulating gas is provided. A monitoring device (14) is provided for monitoring the insulating gas in the switchgear pole. A device (20) is provided that has a test connection (28) for a testing device to test the monitoring device (14). The device (20) is connected to the monitoring device (14) and the switchgear pole. The device (20) has a valve (23), with which the switchgear pole can be detached from the monitoring device (14).
Abstract: In one embodiment, a process is disclosed for the preparation of a multilayer intermediate product impregnated with polyurethane that is useful for the production of soft synthetic leather having enhanced mechanical resistance. The process comprises the steps of: a. producing a microfibrous non-woven intermediate product that includes microfibers of one or more polymers selected from the group consisting of polyethylene terephthalate, polytrimethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide; b. producing an intermediate multilayer product by adhesive coupling, the intermediate multilayer product including at least one layer of the non-woven microfibrous intermediate product and at least one layer of a reinforcing textile product; and c. impregnating the multilayer intermediate product with one or more polyurethane solutions, thereby obtaining a multilayer intermediate product impregnated with polyurethane.

Abstract: Herein disclosed is a liquid homogenizer for mixing two or more liquids, comprising: a rotator (1) rotatable around a rotation axis; at least two liquid-mixing chambers (6, 10) formed in the rotator, and being different from each other in distance from the rotation axis; and at least two channels (8) through which one of the liquid-mixing chambers is communicated with the other of the liquid-mixing chambers (6, 10), wherein the liquid-mixing chambers (6, 10) include an outer liquid-mixing chamber (10) and an inner liquid-mixing chamber (6) close to the rotation axis in comparison with the outer liquid-mixing chamber, when the rotator (1) is rotating around the rotation axis, the liquids are shifted by a centrifugal force to the outer liquid-mixing chamber from the inner liquid-mixing chamber through the channels (8), and agitated to be mixed by turbulent flows in the outer liquid-mixing chamber.
Abstract: A method comprising applying a controlled flow cavitation apparatus to a biodiesel production process in order to increase fatty acid alkyl ester yield. A feedstock comprising free fatty acids can be passed through a controlled flow cavitation apparatus at a velocity capable of generating a hydrodynamic cavitation zone where the free fatty acids can be esterified. One or more controlled flow cavitation apparatuses can be applied at various points of a biodiesel production process.
Abstract: A system that provides for Bluetooth communications from a first Bluetooth enabled device to a second Bluetooth enabled device is provided. The system comprising a Bluetooth manager that provides a graphical user interface, an Outgoing Port Driver that shares configurational information with and is started by the Bluetooth manager, a first serial port that receives data from an application operating on the first device, the first serial port acting as a virtual serial port where the first serial port is not connected to communications hardware, a second serial port that is connected to communications hardware, the second serial port acting as an outgoing port, and a Bluetooth stack that receives data to be communicated from the second serial port, wherein the Outgoing Port Driver directs the data from the first serial port to the second serial port via the Outgoing Port Driver.
Abstract: A method of adjusting frequency-dependent amplification in an audio amplification apparatus. The audio amplification apparatus includes a forward transfer path (2) connectable to an output transducer, the forward transfer path including a frequency transposing element. The method includes the steps of: presenting stimuli to the output transducer at a plurality of frequencies; adjusting the stimulus level (C) at each frequency to meet a predefined loudness perception level or detection threshold of the listener; deriving an equal loudness contour of output transducer levels from the adjusted stimuli levels; and deriving the frequency-dependent amplification of levels of input signals (I) at each frequency.
