The test socket for a semiconductor device includes conductive substrates having contact point parts exposed at upper and lower surfaces for contacting the terminals of the semiconductor device and the lead terminals of the test board, and slant parts connecting the contact point parts and facing each other in repetitive arrangement, and an insulating elastic element filled in positions where the slant parts are formed as the contact point parts of the conductive substrate are exposed to the outside so as to fix the conductive substrates.
Abstract: A transducer utilizes a sound-producing member positioned in the area of magnetic flux concentration between magnetic poles of opposite polarity. The sound-producing member is variably vibratable in a magnetic structure between the poles to generate acoustic waves, and an acoustic conduit carries the acoustic waves through the magnetic poles e to a location outside the magnetic structure.
Abstract: Methods for measuring at least one mucosally released neuroendocrine gut system component in an individual and methods for diagnosing a gastrointestinal disorder in an individual based on the concentration of at least one mucosally released neuroendocrine gut system component, and/or the ratio of the concentrations of at least one mucosally released neuroendocrine gut system component and at least one mucosally released inflammatory release mediator are provided.
Abstract: A window assembly of a motor vehicle includes a pair of spaced-apart fixed window panes forming an opening therebetween, vertically spaced-apart upper and lower tracks, a sliding window pane having opposed upper and lower edges that move along the upper and lower tracks, and a camming mechanism including a plurality of cams. The cams are pivotably secured to the sliding window pane near corners of the sliding window pane. An actuator is operatively connected to the cams for selectively and simultaneously pivoting the cams. Simultaneously pivoting the cams forcibly moves the sliding window pane between a closed position wherein an outside surface of the sliding window pane is in a first plane substantially flush with an outer surface of the fixed window panes and an open position wherein the outside surface of the sliding window pane is in a second plane substantially parallel to and offset from the first plane.

Abstract: An adjustable control pedal includes an upper arm and a lower arm carrying a pedal. The lower arm can be selectively moved relative to the upper arm to adjust the position of the pedal between a forward position and a rearward position. A control pin is operably connected to the upper arm for rotation with the upper arm to supply a control signal when force is applied to the pedal. An adjuster is operably connected to the control pin to adjust the position of the control pin relative to the pivot axis so that a ratio of a distance between the pivot axis and the pedal and a distance between the pivot axis and the control pin remains constant as the pedal is adjusted between the forward position and the rearward position.

Abstract: There is provided a method for producing a poly(arylene sulfide) in which a dihalo-aromatic compound and an alkali metal halide are polymerized by heating in an organic amide solvent, wherein the cooling time for the polymerization reaction system is significantly reduced. After the polymerization process, there is provided a cooling process for cooling the polymerization reaction system comprising a liquid phase containing the product poly (arylene sulfide) and the organic amide solvent and a vapor phase containing a gas component (A); and in the cooling process, the gas component (A) in the vapor phase is cooled while the content of a low boiling gas component (A1), which has a lower boiling point than water and exists in the gas component (A), is reduced in the vapor phase of the polymerization system.
Abstract: Installation structure for installing and removing a sacrificial glazing panel. There is disclosed a removable retaining member for the sacrificial glazing panel that laterally pressures a primary glazing panel to seal and hold the primary glazing panel and holds the sacrificial glazing panel without lateral pressure. A unitary, dual-durometer retaining member is disclosed which is optimized for holding the primary glazing and the sacrificial glazing panel in different manners by having materials of two different hardnesses. Additionally, a retaining member is disclosed that has flocking material to reduce rattling of the sacrificial glazing panel.

Abstract: A system and method of providing standardized transmission of data by translating non-native requests and or non-native responses to and from a normalized format or to a format needed for processing the request and or response. The system works with trusted and untrusted connections and systems and supports encryption at multiple layers to establish non-repudiation for a security service that integrates and/or aggregates external security applications into a single service that can provide authentication and/or authorization.
Abstract: A pin removal assembly for use with an upper block of a crane includes a sheave support and a pin support. The upper block includes a frame, a plurality of sheaves, and a removable sheave pin that defines an axis of rotation for the sheaves and supports the sheaves within the frame. The pin removal assembly includes a sheave support mountable to the frame of the upper block and a pin support mountable to the frame of the upper block. The pin support is configured to support the sheave pin when the sheave pin is removed from the upper block.
Abstract: A system and method of aggregating and integrating authentication and/or authorization protocols of a user or a user's information across a wide range of related or nonrelated channels and exchange services. An interface is provided that allows multi-credential, multi-service, multi-role, and multi-channel based routing to multiple authorization and authentication providers in a secure system. Using a standardized language, the system creates a framework to enable entities to communicate and perform transactions instantly or nearly instantly, and seamlessly. The systems supports trusted and untrusted connections as well as multiple levels of encryption.
Abstract: The invention discloses methods of making and uses for wide spectrum disinfectants including as components an alcohol, O-phenylphenol, chlorhexidine gluconate, nonoxynol-9, benzalkonium chloride, and deionized double distilled water wherein on a weight/volume ratio the alcohol comprises from 50% to 80%, the O-phenylphenol comprises from 0.1% to 0.8%, the chlorhexidine gluconate comprises from 0.1% to 1%, the nonoxynol-9 comprises from 0.02% to 1%, and the benzalkonium chloride comprises from 0.15% to 1%.
Abstract: A system for attaching in situ thermal management equipment, such as a heat exchanger, to a high pressure gas storage tank in a manner which fixes the in situ equipment in the interior of the tank, to the tank, but does not constrain the axial location of the in situ equipment, thereby allowing a small amount of longitudinal displacement or axial rotation between the heat exchanger and the tank. A degree of longitudinal movement along the axis of the tank and a degree of rotation is effected, both singularly at either end of the in situ device or dually at each end of the in situ device positioned within the tank.

Abstract: A control system is used for remotely operating an apparatus powered by a main power source. The control system includes an auxiliary power source to provide power to the apparatus upon a loss of power to the main power source, and first and second light-emitting sources positioned remote of the apparatus. A first photoelectric sensor is positioned proximate the apparatus and interconnected with the apparatus and the auxiliary power source, wherein upon a loss of power to the main power source, the first photoelectric sensor receives light from the first light-emitting source and the first photoelectric sensor enables power to flow from the auxiliary power source to the apparatus.
Abstract: A system for controlling a displacement drive of a motor vehicle includes a manually operable actuator movable over a fixed stroke between a first end position and a second end position. The actuator is biased to a neutral position centrally located between the first and second end positions and provides a signal representative of position of the actuator. A controller receives the signal from the actuator and produces commands for a reversible DC electric motor of the displacement drive device. The commands vary speed of the drive motor based on the position of the actuator such that the speed of the drive motor is zero at the neutral position, increases in one direction as the actuator moves toward the first end position, and increases in the other direction as the actuator moves toward the second end position.
