Abstract: A storage slot for multiple data storage cartridges, comprising a planar member having a first end, a second end, a side interconnecting the first end and the second end, and a gate moveably connected to the side at the first end of the planar member, wherein the gate can be moved between a closed position and an open position. The storage slot farther comprises a secondary catch moveably disposed between the first end and the second end. When the gate is disposed in a closed position, the secondary catch is disposed in a retracted orientation, and when the gate is disposed in an open position, the secondary catch is disposed in an extended orientation.

Abstract: The present invention provides a leveling control system for a forestry machine (10) employing position sensors that relay information about the orientation of the carriage (12) in relation to the swing-house assembly (14) in order to control roll and pitch in a manner that maximizes the operating envelop of the leveling mechanism (38). The angles of pitch and roll of the swing-house assembly (14) in relation to the carriage (12) are measured and/or calculated and a controller (24) limits operation of the leveling mechanism (38) to an operating envelop that may be described in terms of pitch and droll. The cylinders (54, 56) are decelerated gradually as the operating envelop is approached. The controller (24) can include an automatic leveling mode. The controller (24) can change the function of the fore, aft, left and right operator controls so that they are true from the operator's frame of reference regardless of the rotary position of the cab relative to the carriage (12).
Abstract: A robot including a controller and multiple servos, each acting as an actuator, and a supply voltage generator circuit connected to a transmission line between the controller, which controls using the RS485 communication protocol, and the servos. The reference voltage generator circuit maintains one of a pair of differential signals (or an inversion signal) at a constant potential between a high level and a low level. As a result, a TTL communication scheme servo can be mounted and controlled, along with a RS485 scheme servo. A supply voltage generator circuit is formed of a Zener diode and a voltage divider circuit. Without being limited to incorporation at some midpoint on the transmission path, the supply voltage generator circuit can be incorporated in a controller or a hub for splitting a transmission path.

Abstract: A system for wirelessly controlling marker lights comprising a remote controller comprising a transmitter and one or more marker lights. Each of the marker lights comprise a receiver and processing means, and each of the marker lights have a configuration mode in which the processing means is adapted to cause the receiver to wirelessly receive data from the transmitter. This data comprises one or more group identifiers to assign one or more groups to the marker light. In addition, the processing means of each of the marker lights is adapted to cause the receiver to wirelessly receive one or more commands from the transmitter for controlling the operation of the marker light. The processing means is adapted to carry out the command when the commands comprise the same one or more group identifiers that correspond to the one or more groups to which the marker light was assigned.

Abstract: A method to audit portable cassettes removeably disposed in a data storage library comprising a plurality of storage slots, a plurality of portable cassettes removeably disposed in one or more of said plurality of storage slots, and a pass-through accessor comprising a moveable fixturing apparatus, wherein the pass-through accessor is moveably disposed in said data storage library. The method disposes the pass-through accessor adjacent a first one of said plurality of storage slots, removes a first portable cassette from the first storage slot, and attaches the first portable cassette to a first fixturing assembly disposed on the fixturing apparatus. The method then removes a second portable cassette from the first storage slot, and attaches the second portable cassette to a second fixturing assembly disposed on the fixturing apparatus.

Abstract: A radiation dosimetry quality assurance system is disclosed that includes a three-dimensional (3D) phantom extending along a longitudinal axis to form an exterior surface and an interior volume and a passage formed to extend into the interior volume of the 3D phantom to removeably receive a detector array therein. The system also includes an angular-compensation system coupled to the exterior surface of the 3D phantom and having a physical contour extending from the exterior surface of the 3D phantom and configured to control an angular dependence of the detector array during measurement of the actual radiation dose delivered by the radiation delivery system. The system further includes a detector-angle adjustment system configured to allow selection of a relative position of the detector array with respect to a radiation source of the radiation delivery system during measurement of the actual radiation dose delivered during the planned medical process.
Abstract: An image reconstruction method includes reconstructing an initial composite image of a subject using a conventional reconstruction method. The initial composite image employs the best information available regarding the subject of the scan and this information is used to constrain the reconstruction of a highly undersampled or low SNR image frames. This highly constrained image reconstruction is repeated a plurality of iterations with the reconstructed image frame for one iteration being used as the composite image for the next iteration. The reconstructed image frame rapidly converges to a final image frame.

Abstract: Systems and methods of correlating potential transmitters with received radio signals is provided. Image data is provided including paths traveled by potential transmitter. Potential transmitters are identified within the image data along with path segments traveled by potential transmitters. A first and second transmitter calculate certain parameters of received signals assuming that signals originated along the path segments. The calculated signal parameters are then compared to measured signal parameter to determine whether a transmitter is associated with a particular path.
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved electro-optic rearview mirror elements and assemblies incorporating the same. Area of the effective field of view of the electro-optic mirror element substantially equals to that defined by the outermost perimeter of the element.

Abstract: A sliding-contact arrangement or slipring includes a slide-track having a V-shaped groove and also a brush having at least two slide-wires which simultaneously make sliding contact with the V-shaped groove of the slide-track. Furthermore, the two slide-wires have different diameters and contact the slide-track at different angular positions. Thereby an increased tolerance to mechanical vibrations and shocks as well as a reduced contact resistance results.
Abstract: An image reconstruction method includes reconstructing a composite image of a subject using a conventional reconstruction method. The composite image employs the best information available regarding the subject of the scan and this information is used to constrain the reconstruction of a highly undersampled image frames or improve the SNR of image frames. A blurred and normalized weighting image is produced from image frame data, and this normalized weighting image is multiplied by the composite image.
