  • Patent number: 6027119
Abstract: A method for playing a card game is set forth wherein a player makes an ante wager to participate in the game. A five card hand is dealt to each player and the dealer. The player's and dealer's hand are valued by determining the suit with the highest point value where Kings, Queens and Jacks count as 10 points, Aces count as 11 points and all other cards have their face value. If the player elect to stay in the game they place a call bet, otherwise they lose their ante wager and are out of the hand. For those player's making the call bet, hands are resolved where if the player's hand value exceeds the dealer the player is the winner, if the dealer's hand has a qualifying point value and exceeds the player's hand point value the player is a loser and tie point values are declared ties.

  • Patent number: 6010452
Abstract: An article, system and method for calculating an individual's overall fitness age using one or more measurable fitness parameters. Among the parameters used are heart recovery rate, flexibility, strength and body fat composition. A data processor contains data structures that correlate heart recovery rate to a heart recovery fitness age, flexibility to a flexibility fitness age, strength to a strength fitness age and body fat composition to a body composition fitness age. When the physically measured parameters are input into the processor, the processor determines the fitness age corresponding to each measurement and calculates the overall fitness age using the formula:Overall Fitness Age=(0.30) heart recovery fitness age+(0.21) flexibility fitness age+(0.21) strength fitness age+(0.28) body composition fitness age.The overall fitness age is then displayed.

  • Patent number: 6002405
Abstract: A method is set forth for fashioning graphic works with perspective based upon five perspective points. The method includes selecting axes X, Y which extend to vanishing points A-D and cross at a fifth reference point Z. By using lines extending to the vanishing points A-D and the center point Z a perspective grid can be fashioned the spacing of the points and reference lines of the grid defined by the five points of the perspective. The grid can be fashioned to provide a "bulging" perspective or a "tunnel" perspective. Also set forth are works produced by the method.

  • Patent number: 5950178
Abstract: A data processing system and method for facilitating transactions in precious stones such as diamonds is set forth. A host processor stores data input by a seller from a remote terminal for a stone to be sold based upon weight, cut shape, cut quality and a matrix of color and clarity. From remote terminals sellers may input data to list stones which they offer for sale with the offer price and buyers make bids. The host processor stores the data which may be remotely viewed at remote terminals which reproduce the matrix and show the lowest offer price, highest bid price and last sales price for each category of the matrix. When a bid and offer match for a listed stone, confirmation is issued to the buyer and seller to confirm the sale. A third party escrow will receive the sold stone and payment and thereafter distribute it to the receiving party.

  • Patent number: 5939795
Abstract: Seat sensor switches connected to the drivers seat and passenger's seat of a motor vehicle generate signals indicating when the seats are occupied. The passenger sensor switch generates an adult present signal, a child or small adult signal, or an infant/small child present signal depending on the size of the occupant. In response to a signal indicating that all the seats are unoccupied, the parking brake is set, a windshield curtain and a side window sunshade panel are deployed, and the headlamps and ceiling light are deactivated. In response to an adult present signal from the passenger sensor switch, a first quantity of air bag propellant is electrified, the air bag is aimed at an upper location, and the shoulder belt anchor is moved to an upper position. In response to a child or small adult present signal from the passenger sensor switch, a second, smaller quantity of air bag propellant is electrified, the air bag is aimed at a lower location, and the shoulder belt anchor is moved to a lower position.

  • Patent number: 5933881
Abstract: A rotatable handle and a valve block are carried on a frame that is mounted on the exterior of a toilet bowl. A transfer tube of a rotatable insert in the valve block couples the handle to the valve block. The handle has an outlet hole wherein a proximal end of a water tube is disposed. The water tube extends from the exterior to the interior of the bowl via a space between the toilet seat and the rim of the bowl. A distal portion of the water tube extends over water within the bowl. The distal portion has a plurality of aligned holes therein. The handle is urged to a rest position by a spring. When the handle is at the rest position, a passageway of the valve block is occluded by a valve stem, thereby preventing a flow of water to the water tube. In response to the handle being rotated from the rest position, the passageway is cleared and the flow of water is provided which results in a sheet of water being discharged from the aligned holes.
