  • Patent number: 5806846
Abstract: A method for playing a modified game is provided wherein, if the dealer shows an Ace as the up card, and after action is completed regarding insurance wagers, the dealer exposes the down card regardless of whether or not the dealer has a Blackjack. In a further or additional embodiment, if the player has a predetermined holding from the initial cards dealt such as a twelve and draws a ten value card to bust, at least a portion of the player's wager is returned to the player. As but yet a further feature, the player may opt to make a bonus wager. If the player makes a bonus wager and from his initial two cards has a card which matches in denomination or both denomination and suit, the player is rewarded up to 10:1 on the bonus wager whether or not the player ultimately wins his Blackjack wager. Additionally the bonus wager may be applied in the event the dealer's up card is a two and the player has a specified initial holding. Large payoffs may be provided for certain specified holdings.

  • Patent number: 5800268
Abstract: A method by which a player may participate in a live casino game from a location remote from the casino is disclosed. A player establishes an information link with a casino from an interface station including a video monitor and keypad. In response to the player's entry of financial account information, the casino establishes an information line with the player's financial institution. The casino assigns the player to a gaming table at which a "live" game is occurring, transmitting all images of game play and instructions to the player. The player transmits bet and game play information to the casino. Because of the open line between the casino and player's financial institution, bets are checked, winnings paid, and losses debited, instantaneously.

  • Patent number: 5788239
Abstract: A player in a dice game may make two types of wagers against a banker. The winner of a first type of wager is determined by comparing the result of a roll of a pair of dice by a player to the result of a roll of the dice by the banker. The winner of a second type of wager is determined by the result of the roll of the dice by the banker. Combinations that may result from rolling the dice are exhaustively ranked. Several first and second types of wagers depend upon the rank of a combination that results from rolling the dice by player and the rank of a combination that results from rolling the dice by a banker.

  • Patent number: 5779242
Abstract: A method for determining the winner of an event in which there are numerous players involves the players playing in groups in a first round, with the half of the players in each group having the highest scores advancing to a winners bracket, and the half of the players in each group having the lowest totals moving to a losers bracket. Play in the winners bracket proceeds in rounds until sixteen players remain, with half of the players in each round moving to the next winners round, and half moving to a selected round in the losers bracket. Play continues in the losers bracket in rounds with half of the players advancing and half being eliminated upon receipt of their second loss, until a single player with only one loss remains. The sixteen players with no losses in the winners bracket start a separate double-elimination bracket and play until four players remain. These four players and the single player from the losers bracket play in a championship bracket to determine the winner of the event.
