  • Patent number: 6439207
Abstract: An oxygen generator is designed to enrich a fuel supply or water supply and is provided in the hollow interior thereof with a positive magnetic body, a negative magnetic body, a number of far infrared granules and pebbles. The granules and the pebbles are caused by a magnetic force to collide with one another, thereby resulting in liberation of the oxygen molecules contained in the granules and the pebbles. The oxygen molecules so released are mixed with the fuel supply or water supply.

  • Patent number: 6438808
Abstract: A fastener includes a male fastening member having a springy hook plate and a retaining block and a stop block, and a female fastening member having a hook hole and a retaining hole and a recessed bearing portion. The retaining block and the stop block are forced into engagement with the retaining hole and the recessed bearing portion when hooking the springy hook in the hook hole. Turning the male fastening member outwards from the female fastening member to disengage the retaining block from the retaining hole enables the male fastening member to be separated from the female fastening member.

  • Patent number: 6440614
Abstract: In order to provide a mask and a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device that achieve consistency in the resist pattern dimensions, a main pattern 110 provided for the purpose of semiconductor element production and an additional pattern 120 provided for the purpose of exposure quantity adjustment are drawn at a reticle 100. At the reticle 100, the additional pattern 120 achieves a regularity almost identical to that of the main pattern 110. At the same time, the additional pattern 120 has a specific shift relative to the main pattern 110. By achieving an optimal degree of shift between the additional pattern and main pattern at the reticle 100, consistency in the resist pattern dimensions can be achieved without adversely affecting the process of element pattern formation.

  • Patent number: 6437504
Abstract: This invention relates to a kind of illuminator particularly to a cold-end device of a low-pressure mercury vapor (LPMV) discharge lamp. The external glass tube of the invention is connected onto the lamp tube wall, which is opened up to the inner room of the lamp tube, and isolated from the outside. Since the cold-end device can be adjusted by the length of the external glass tube fore-mentioned and the sealing end position of the glass tube, the optimal cold-end temperature can be achieved and thus a larger light flux can be output from the energy conservation lamp in working.

  • Patent number: 6434831
Abstract: A folding knife with a safety for blade is provided. When a blade of the folding knife is in an extended position for use, a slip switch of the safety for blade could be moved to a safety lock position to depress a lock member for a lower rod portion of the latter to engage into a first locking hole on the blade, so that the blade would not turn back into a handle of the folding knife even when a blade lock of the knife is unexpectedly separated from the blade. And, when the slip switch is moved to the safety lock position when the blade is in a folded position in the handle, the lower rod portion of the lock member would engage into a second locking hole on the blade to prevent the blade from unexpectedly turning out of the handle.

  • Patent number: 6437447
Abstract: In a dual-sided chip package without a die pad according to the invention, a first die can be fixed directly on the lead fingers of a leadframe, a support bar, or bus bars, while a second die is attached to the first die. Without a die pad, the distance between the surfaces of the dies and the plastic surface of the package therefore gets longer. Thus, the invention enables a large decrease in the probability of generating voids in the plastic and there is no need to grind the dies. Besides, it improves the vibration and floating characteristics of the dies in the manufacturing process and thus prevents the exposure of the bonding wires and the shelling off or breaking of the dies. The invention can raise the yield of chip packages.

  • Patent number: 6433337
Abstract: The object is to provide a method capable of detecting the carrier profile with ease and without any limitation. The method for detecting the carrier profile 100 includes a measurement step 110, the first analysis step 120, and the second analysis 130. In the measurement step 100, a p-n junction portion 150 (FIG. 2) to which a bias voltage is applied, is irradiated with laser beams P1 (FIG. 2) capable of moving the irradiation position thereof, thereby detecting the relation between the irradiation position and the OBIC generated in the p-n junction portion. In the first analysis step 120, there is detected, based on the relation as detected in the measurement step 110, the relation between the expanded width of a depletion layer generated in the p-n junction portion and the bias voltage. In the second analysis step 130, there is detected, based on the relation as detected in the first analysis step 120, a carrier profile in the p-n junction portion.

  • Patent number: 6434350
Abstract: An electrophotographic recording apparatus has a lid movable to open and close relative to a body of the apparatus, the lid having an exposing unit mounted thereto. The recording apparatus includes a collapsible mechanism and a drive mechanism (gear mechanism). The exposing unit is suspended from the collapsible mechanism. The gear mechanism is operatively connected to the lid so that when the lid is opened and closed, the gear mechanism drives the collapsible mechanism to deform selectively into the collapsed position and the expanded position, respectively. When the collapsible mechanism is at the expanded position, the exposing unit is accurately positioned relative to an image-forming unit. When the collapsible mechanism is at the collapsed position, the exposing unit is at a retracted position so that the exposing unit allows easy access to the interior of the apparatus. The gear mechanism may include a torque limiter.

  • Patent number: 6433287
Abstract: There is provided a connection structure in which concentration of current in a connection portion of wirings, or of an element and a wiring is prevented. Three slits are formed in each of a first wiring and a second wiring, which extends in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the first wiring extends, so that distances from the side of a cross internal angle gradually become longer. A portion of a current path is changed by these slits so as to limit current which can flow through the cross internal angle.

  • Patent number: 6429378
Abstract: A lead-in clamp with electric wire protective casing are disclosed. The electric wire protective casing is a long plastic roll tube, whose longitudinal free edges are not sealed, but rather can be expanded out and drawn back, on the roll tube there being formed a series of uniformly spaced transverse recesses. The lead-in clamp comprises left and right clamp stems, left and right clamp bodies and a clamping spring. When the left and right clamp bodies are fitted together, a wire passing cylinder and a casing guiding head are formed. When in use, the wires are put into the wire passing cylinder, then insert the casing guiding head into one end of the wire protective casing tube. After the wire protective casing tube is fixed stationary by hand, the lead-in clamp is pushed toward the other end of the wire protective casing, thereby to encase all of the wires into the wire protection casing.

  • Patent number: 6430217
Abstract: A speech voice input to the microphone 62 is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 35. An encoder 36 in turn spreads the digital signal using a spread spectrum scheme and the spread signal is supplied to the modulator 37. A modulator 37 modulates a carrier wave (e.g., a frequency of 800 MHz) with the spread signal and the modulated wave is transmitted from an antenna 40. A high-frequency signal is induced in a paired cable 64 of a headset 60 by the transmitted wave. The high-frequency signal transferred in the direction to the telephone unit 30 through the cable 64 is eliminated by an LPF 46. On the other hand, the high-frequency signal transferred to a headphone 61 passes through a capacitor 63 to a ground level. Thus, the entry of the transmitted signal into the amplifier 45 and the headphone 61 can be avoided, and an occurrence of noise in the headphone 61 can be prevented.
