Abstract: A transmission front-end processor modulates the amplitude of a carrier wave with baseband data, and sets the power of the resultant modulated wave at a required value while controlling power leakage to adjoining channel to thereby output transmission data. The processor includes a first filter connected to an input terminal to which the baseband data are applied, for removing frequency components which would otherwise cause the power of the baseband data to leak to adjoining channels. The carrier wave and the baseband data passed through the first filter are applied to a power modulator. The power modulator controls the amplitude of the carrier wave with the baseband data, sets the power of the result of the control at the required value, and then outputs the power. A second filter removes higher order components from the carrier wave included in the output of the power modulator to thereby output the transmission data.

Abstract: An apparatus for minimal phase delay and zero crossing filtering, obtaining a filtered signal without phase delay and glitch by combining a zero crossing filter and a hysteresis zero crossing filter. The zero crossing filter and the hysteresis zero crossing filter both receive an input signal and a reference signal and respectively output a zero-delay signal with glitches and a hysteresis signal with phase delay. A phase-protect filter then receives these two signals and outputs the filtered signal. When the zero-delay signal has a change of state and the hysteresis signal is at the first state, the filtered signal is at the second state. When the zero-delay signal has a change of state and the hysteresis signal is at the second state, the filtered signal is at the first state. When the zero-delay signal has no change of state, the filtered signal remains unchanged.

Abstract: A built-up air cushion mainly includes a bottom wall and a plurality of inflatable units separately and detachably connected to the bottom wall. The inflatable unit each includes a base on which suitable numbers of air cells are provided. Each inflatable unit is provided at the base with an air inlet for inflating or bleeding the air cells in order to adjust an air pressure in each inflatable unit to meet actual need, or to deflate the inflatable units for convenient storage of the air cushion. While the inflatable units may be massively manufactured with only one type of mold at reduced cost, air cushions of different sizes and shapes may be easily formed by attaching desired numbers of inflatable units to bottom walls having desired sizes and shapes.
Abstract: A clock signal generating circuit and its clock frequency adjusting method, in which a clock signal of a desired frequency can be generated even if an oscillating circuit of relatively low frequency precision is used. Each of frequency division data is sequentially dnd repetitively read out from a memory in which a plurality of frequency division data has been stored, and a signal whose logic level is inverted each time the read-out frequency division data and the number of pulses of a constant frequency signal generated by an oscillating circuit coincide is generated as a clock signal. An adjustment is performed so as to decrease a value of at least one of the frequency division data stored in the memory when the frequency of the constant frequency signal is lower than the desired request frequency and to increase the value of at least one of the frequency division data stored in the memory when the frequency of the constant frequency signal is higher than the desired request frequency.

Abstract: A multiplexing system utilizes the whole transmission bandwidth without inducing interchannel interference for a linear channel with additive noise. Using the multiplexing system, the linear distortion channel is decomposed into independent linear distortion subchannels. Treating z-transforms as polynomials, a multiplexer at a receiver utilizes the Chinese remainder procedure to combine subchannel signals into a multiplexed signal to be transmitted through a single transmission channel. A demultiplexer at a receiver recovers the transmitted subchannel signals by taking residue polynomials on the factor polynomials used in the Chinese remainder procedure. The multiplexer that combines M subchannel signals of length K may be implemented by K M-point IFFT processors using 1−ej2&pgr;m/Mz−K (m=0 to M−1) as relatively prime polynomials required in the Chinese remainder procedure.
